Offering a full a la carte breakfast menu and late morning brunch, VILLARD provides exceptional New American fare crafted by Chef Oscar Granados, warm service and a remarkable venue. For a unique breakfast experience that recalls New York City’s iconic past while offering distinctly of the moment meals with locally sourced ingredients, this is VILLARD.
We love the New York Palace and always try to brunch at Villard before we head out for our train. The mansion is incredible and the food is excellent. Yes to the bacon beignets and to the Farro porridge which is so much better than oatmeal. Great coffee and teas are also available. We've brunched all over the world and this experience is one of my favorites. For the first time in my years, our wonderful waiter Nikola gave us a history lesson on the actual mansion's incredible walls, ceiling and paintings. No one else has ever done that before in the last 10 years we've been there. Thanks so much for making it even more special than usual.
We were looking for a breakfast spot and this was a pretty incredible find. The dining room is gorgeous with amazing architectural features. I enjoyed the fresh juices. Highly recommend the pancakes. The omelet was great too. I’m addicted to their bacon. But most note-worthy was the service. The manager, Janos, greeted us with a smile and seated us quickly. Our server, Melissa, was very personable and warm. This really made our breakfast complete. I would highly recommend. We will be returning to Villard soon. Please give this place a try.
For some reason the host did not have my reservation
Very elegant and the perfect place for a boujee outing.
marvelous place for proper brunch, good food and services, although tip are included in the bill they were trying very hard to make our time there the best. recommended!
Best French toast I ever had. But, if you want a real treat, ask for Melissa as your server. She was the absolute sweetest and made our experience totally complete! Overall, quiet place, a little more on the expensive side, but worth the treat in both food and especially service.
While staying recently at the Lotte NY Palace Hotel, we decided to have breakfast at the Villard. The space was beautiful, but unfortunately, the breakfast left a lot to be desired. First of all, our server was not very friendly and didn't follow our request. When we ordered the beignet's, she asked if we would like them served before the main course - we said yes, but that is not what happened, everything came out together. The beignets were disappointing - they were overcooked. While my lemon mascarpone pancakes were delicious, my wife ordered the American Breakfast - the eggs were meh, breakfast potatoes were very good, but the sausage was awful - grisly and completely tasteless. While we expect to pay top dollar in a venue like this, paying over $100 for two people for breakfast was ridiculous based on the mediocre quality of the food and service. There are much better alternatives in this very restaurant rich area of NYC - do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to get breakfast. That is why I cannot recommend this restaurant.
VILLARD is a magical space. From the minute you enter this little hideaway you are awed by the beauty of the space. The service is impeccable and the food delicious! The lemon mars alone pancakes with Dulce de Leche and fresh mixed raspberries and blackberries is a delight. The banana bacon beignets should be illegal. Dangerously decadent and worth every calorie.
This restaurant is expensive. Plain and simple so I think saying it’s a good value isn’t even in the realm when making a reservation. Just know you are in for. Very special treat and expect that breakfast will cost the same as dinner almost anywhere else.
If you visit, for a special treat, have the Royal breakfast. Outstanding!!!!
I was really looking forward to this brunch but will not recommend it to others nor will I return. One server was very friendly and generous with his compliments, another rushed us terribly. We were asked to place our orders within 2 minutes of being seated. Then immediately upon serving our food, he placed the check on the table and announced that he was taking off for the day. There was a kitchen staff person rustling around across the room with dishes and silverware and kept dropping F-bombs. No one checked up on us. There was no music playing overhead. Some of the food was terrific, others (like the single wimpy piece of bacon that came with the "bacon banana beignets") was very disappointing. It's a gorgeous room, but stick to a drink at the bar.
The food is good - but not special. Paying more for the atmosphere/ambiance than an amazing Sunday brunch.
Beautiful restaurant and excellent food. We were disappointed in the service. We had to ask for refills and our waiter never came back after he took our order except to bring the check.
Special breakfast - very good!! My favorite N.Y. Breakfast
Food was way overpriced, but the setting was beautiful
The lobster Benedict had a whole lobster on at. Tail and two claws.
We had the most wonderful breakfast here. Gorgeous atmosphere, excellent service and the food was outstanding! It is so great to see that the historical building is preserved and kept up so that we can experience it. Fresh juice, eggs Benedict and billionaire bacon - all excellent! We will be back!
The service was at first attentive and rushed and then non existent. They should consider adding staff. At $100 for 2 for breakfast, I’m sure it’s in the budget.
Wonderful breakfast treat in the most beautiful restaurant in NYC. Gorgeous Christmas decorations too!
Best brunch in NYC
Amazing and Nicholas was awesome
Date Breakfast. Beautiful ambience, tasty food that’s well presented and the service was very attentive.
Just delicious!!! Beautiful ambiance and presentation.
This is a New York landmark and the venue is so beautiful specially around Christmas. The food was great (lobster benedict is highly recommended). The service however needs improvement. We ordered coffee and bread basket - They did not serve us a small plate for the bread. We waited for the waiter to stop by so we can ask for one but after waiting for a while, decided to use the saucer of my coffee cup. Also the timing of the entree was right after the bread basket. I wish there was a little more time for us to enjoy the bread with condiments and coffee but we had to start with our entree right away. Giving the place 3 stars, breaks my heart but management should focus on improving the service.
A delightful experience for breakfast. Exquisite food, presented well with superb staff.
I add higher expectations for the food quality. It was good but I wasn’t wowed for the type of hotel this is.
Nice restaurant.. very good location. Nice food and healthy options but the portions are small.
The food was incredible and was more than what I thought.
The staff was very friendly and helpful would definitely come back and would highly recommend.
Loved it, very impressed with service and food!
This was my birthday breakfast - we loved the ambiance- the berries were so fresh- and he made my americano to perfection!!
Very friendly. Wonderful service. A beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent.
Most overpriced breakfast I’ve ever had and I’m a New Yorker. Their slogan should be “You may get better, but you’ll never pay more!!!!”
Way way way overpriced and not at all good. Oversweeetened juices and stale granola at crazy prices do not a happy camper make ---- avoid
Very disappointing. Lackluster service. No smiles. I almost felt unwelcome.
The most elegant breakfast in Manhattan. Five star service and food. I will return.
Omelette was overcooked with no flavor. Overpriced.
Très sympa !
Service was horrible
