Villaggio is a lovely restaurant. It's our local 'go to' place when we have visitors. It is also where we got engaged so it holds a special place in our hearts.

We’ve come several times here over the past few years, with somewhat mixed results. However, the food has generally been good enough for us to keep trying it. This meal was excellent! We were promptly seated and the waitress was pleasant and attentive. I had a Caesar salad which was very good, followed by chicken picatta with a side dish of pasta carbonara - excellent! Everyone else enjoyed their meals also - one of our friends, who can be fussy and had never been here before, gave his meal a 12 on a scale of 10.
That was one of the worst meals in several years. The waiter completely messed up the order and service. My appetizer showed up first, followed by my wife’s salad and entree that were served simultaneously. After pointing out that we were still missing an entree, the waiter admitted he forgot to include it in the order. Fifteen minutes later the entrees show up, mine a piping hot bowl of seafood stew that needed several minutes to cool down, and my wife’s bowl of pasta that had clearly sat underneath a heat lamp. During this comedy of errors, the hostess made a feeble attempt to check on our meal. We were offered a random cheese plate that look like a few Ritz crackers and some Cracker Barrel cheddar.
We couldn’t get the check fast enough and get out the door. And now my mouth feels like a desert from all the salt that was used in the stew.
Hello Johnny, first off I never use salt and or pepper in any of my recipes, thats on the table should you wish to add it and secondly your wifes dish did not sit under a heat lamp, she was giving a completely new one by me. Unfortunetely the dish your waiter Jeff negected to order for you does take 14 minutes to complete, how or why he forgot to order it originally is beyond me. I know your upset and want to make your review as bad as possible, but we do not serve cracker barrel cheese.
Food and service was terrific - the music by John Salerno was a wonderful compliment.
The food was great as usual. The proportions are huge so I always only eat one half and have it for another meal. They gave us a complimentary cheese and cracker plate because we ordered a full glass of wine. Service was lacking some. Waitress was attentive until a family came that preoccupied her. She never asked if we wanted anything to drink with our dessert and by the time I got it ordered it was after the dessert and then it wasn't delivered tell I brought it to her attention.
We went here last Spring and it was really fantastic. Then we went here this week and it felt like a different chef—very disappointing. The price is for elevated dining and it simply was not. The drinks were overly sweet with no nuance. The service was great. I don’t think we’ll be coming back $150-$200 is too much for hit or miss, In my opinion!
Lovely quaint atmosphere- Our server Jenna was lovely! Helpful- knowledgeable- great!! Had asparagus wrapped appetizer - absolutely delicious! I’m gluten free and was thrilled that they offered a gf fusilli- a great treat! My husband had chicken parmigiana- he loved it . Only two suggestions... tomato sauce was too sweet ... and my husband’s pasta was too soft, not al dente

Food and service was excellent. The Tavern decor reminded me of some restaurants in the mountains of New England. Food was abundant. We each took some home. The cheese plate that came with a bottle of wine was great.
It was my wife's birthday and we were surprised by a dessert bucket. Nice touch.
The interior of the restaurant was lovely and the waitress was excellent but they need to fire the chef. My veal was chewy, probably because it was reheated and overcooked. The batter it was dipped in was soggy instead of crisp. It tasted like it had been made earlier, reheated in the microwave and then had the sauce added. The side dish consisted of 3 cold pieces of asparagus.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent as well. The veal dishes were the best we have had on Cape Cod. We will be going back for dinner very soon.
It was a poor experience food took over an hour to come out and only after I asked for it. I did tell the waiter we were going to the show but it ended up being close. Waiter intercommunicated about my dish and put a real damper on my meal. After giving me the incorrect meal I got no break on my dinner which was actually cheaper than what I ordered but he still charged me the higher price even after I asked. Usually a great experience but this time not so good, I brought a party of four and raved about the place only to be disappointed.
The best most flavorful lobster tacos I have ever tasted and I don't like regular tacos. These were unique almost phylo dough filled with big juicy junks of lobster flavored with some light cream sauce and rich garlic - unbelievable and huge generous servings. A bit pricey but well worth it.
Disappointed with the food quality at a recent visit in August. Chef unilaterally switched out the pasta style and We thought the quality of the chicken and veal dishes we had were mediocre at best. Expected better
We celebrated my parent 70th birthday. I can’t say enough about the staff and the food! We could not have asked for anywhere better!!! We will be back for sure!!!
We had a quiet corner table in the back near the bar. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, the pianist was wonderful and the food was even better. We had the stuffed peppers to start, the filet and lobster ravioli for our dinner and indulged in banana foster for dessert. Could not have asked for a better dining experience.
We had never been to this restaurant before. It was a great place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. When I made the reservation, I specified that it was an anniversary. I guess that doesn’t get transferred to the restaurant. No one mentioned a special occasion so it just seemed like a nice dinner out. Food was excellent. Pricey so it would have to be a special occasion for us to go again.

WOW! I've been to this restaurant a number of times over the years. I believe it's under new ownership since my last time. The food was AMAZING! Definitely going back SOON!
We had a fantastic meal, great service and the place was so nice! We will definitely go there again when we are back visiting next year.
We (6) almost walked out. An unfortunate encounter with someone administrative was very unpleasant but we were all glad we stayed. Tim was our outstanding waitstaff and the food was excellent. We had the eggplant rollatini, crab cakes, Caesar salad, beet salad, chicken Marsala and clams in a Gorgonzola sauce. All six of us were pleased with our choices.
The tap room is my favorite spot. It has an olde world charm A newly renovated horseshoe bar provides more seats for dining . We enjoyed chicken Parmesan, meatballs and gnocchis in a sweet and spicy bbq sauce , And very cheesy yummy eggplant rolittini. Wines by the glass were respectable. Our waiter was pleasant and attentive. It was a nice quiet atmosphere for catching up with friends
Starting with the good. My wife had Lobster Ravioli which was delicious-no problems.
However, my dinner was a collective disaster. I ordered Veal Scarparielo and I got Chicken. I ordered the pasta side with Bolognese which I never was served. I ordered a second beer Coors Light and I received a draft Stella. In short I never received a single portion of my meal that I ordered. When I told the waitress that I ordered Veal and not Chicken, the waitress said "OH, that happened to the lady at the table behind you too!!".

Amazing food, great service, old school location in old building. Would have five ambiance a 5 but the chairs need some modernization. Truly, this chef can cook unbelievable food.
The tavern was packed which is a good sign as well. We will go back.
This is a terrific special event restaurant with ample and delicious servings of seafood and salad entrees. We had 2 servings of macadamia encrusted salmon and one of beet salad. Every one of us loved our dinners. The crab cake appetizer was the best ever!
Salads ridiculously priced. Onion soup hot but flavorless and mostly mushy bread that had absorbed all the liquid. Chicken parm excellent and a generous portion but in very tart tomato not to my liking. Chicken piccata also did not receive a great review. Have eaten here before and been very happy but this was a disappointing meal for the four of us.
We were there to celebrate an 85th birthday with party of 10. Two of the meals came out significantly later than all the other meals. One meal was cold and sent back. When meal was returned from being reheated it looked like a big glob of food. I proceeded to ask for manager. Spoke with someone downstairs and was told manager/owner was in kitchen and could not leave. I was asked to write my info for manager to get in touch with me. In the meantime a fresh new dish was made but by that time family member (who said “no” to a fresh dish) had lost her appetite. A gentleman from bar came and offered drinks which was a nice gesture. Once bill came the cold entree was on bill. When asked to remove charge we were asked to return meal. I was taken back as to a restaurant asking to return meal that was their fault?? On our way out manager confronted one family member and blamed waitress and said he was retiring in a year. Needless to say we were in awe that a owner would speak poorly of an employee. I waited several days without a call and decided to contact restaurant. Manager was unavailable at the time but I did receive a call back within a few minutes. Manger/owner mostly spoke over me. He still didn’t take responsibility for mistake and made no apology for handling the situation in a poor manner. Food was good but unfortunately service in this fine dining restaurant is greatly lacking . Too bad owner couldn’t take responsibility for mistakes and turn the situation around. I will not be returning.

We have been going to Villagio once a week since we got on the Cape for the summer. Unfortunately when we went there on Saturday night we waited over 2 hours and never got served. When we told the manager that we were going to leave since we had not been served they said good bye.
Too bad they don't care about their customer experience cause the food was good.

Our meal was nearly 3 hours, we asked for explanation and for something to be tossed our way as we waited and waited and waited. Nothing. Even asked to for the opportunity to order another bottle as we waited... Never got a chance. Awful experience. Won't be back. For the record, Once the food finally came (only 3 of the 4 entrees, not even kidding! 2 hours to get 3 of 4 entrees), it was great. So compliments to the chef on the quality, serious issues with timliness and awful experience in terms of service and front of house.

Eggplant appetizers were nothing but solid cheese. Waiter was completely lost and consistently rude.
