   Our experience was one of the best in a long time of dining out. It was our first time and definitely not our last The food was excellent and our server was awesome. she was so professional and attentive but not distracting at te same same time. the ambience and location in the heart of Pinehurst Village was a great combo. A definite recommendation for a nice evening

   Excellent Italian food in Pinehurst! Restaurant is now part of the resort, but they have kept the menu and level of service the same and they still make their own fresh bread and (amazing!).pasta daily! I only give 5 stars when a place is mind blowingly awesome and villagio certainly delivered! The steaks and meat dishes are incredible too. You cannot go wrong choosing this place whether you're visiting or are lucky enough to live here! Also a few good vegetarian options are available.

   Everything was excellent except for the last 1/2 of the meal, seating a large table of 8(presumably golfers) next to our table(anniversary celebrations for both couples). It became extremely loud, drowning out our attempt at conversation.

    Bring an older adult , I found the menus hard to read . The lighting was lovely but I had to ask my husband to read the menus for me . The food and service was fabulous!,cent wait to be back to eat there on our way neck north .

    Our server, Kelly, was personable, professional and attentive to the little extras that make dining a special experience. The food was delicious, especially the calamari, fresh, generous-sized and cooked perfectly, not breaded. The portion sizes in general are large; there should be some way of seeing how large before ordering. Nice selection of wines by the glass, as well as by the bottle. Pleasant decor, not fussy but tasteful. We will be returning with friends.

    Terrific staff and attentive service; impressive authentic northern Italian menu very well prepared. The only disappointment presented itself in an adjacent table of 8-10 women celebrating a birthday with great gusto. A hard thing to control, but withe several small dining rooms, perhaps such groups might be sequestered in a space with more privacy or sound softening surroundings. Even so, it is an excellent restaurant and we will return.

    The evening was perfect and the food fantastic. There were six of us and we started with the calamari ( a must have) and carpaccio, progressed to salads, then entrees and desserts. The timing between plates was never rushed. The special was rabbit and enjoyed by two of us. Highly recommend rabbit becoming a permanent addition to the menu! The ambiance and superb quality of the food was exactly why we chose to bring our international guests to The Villagio.

    As always, our dinner at Villagio was wonderful. The food and wine were delicious and presented so beautifully. (We had the beet salad, tenderloin with an amazing sauce and the hangar steak. Their bread is the best around!) Alex, our server, was so kind and helpful with the menu. She is a gem as is Madison, the hostess. She made sure we had a lovely table for our special occasion. We cannot wait to go back!!

    Lovely setting. You really can’t pick a better place for ambience, food and service. Highly recommend Villagio and come every year when we visit. This year we were a party of 14. I’m sure next year it might even be more as the word spreads.
