Excellent as always - burger is to die for, great cocktials & service. Outdoor 2 tops are set up really nice, I like to sit outside kinda crooked to the road to people watch and that's the default setup.
Food was fantastic! I had the Cobb salad and my dad had the blue cheese burger. He loved the beer he had. We had an outdoor reservation but changed to indoors and they accommodated us with no issue or complaint. Drinks came out really fast.
Food was very good, cocktail was good , service was terrible.
I get that especially with covid, good service is hard to deliver but our experience was BRUTAL. My partner and I are both servers and we tried to sympathize but we felt were disrespected, forgotten and underwhelmed.
First of all...it's whiskey village...huge whiskey menu and proud of it right? The server couldn't tell me anything about the Whiskey I wanted to order... which was Russel's Reserve Barrel Select specifically FOR THIS RESTAURANT... I took a gamble and ordered it and they didn't even deliver the right one. I got the normal Russel's Rye (which is good but I wanted to special selection for Whiskey Village!) The host was a jerk, when we said we had a reservation she rolled her eyes and walked us to our table. It was right on the corner and the block was really crowded so I asked her if we could move to a different table and she again rolled her eyes and said "what do you mean???" and I pointed at a handful of open two-top tables and she said "yeah thats fine just DON'T sit at any of the bigger tables...okay?" and her tone was extremely condescending. Again, my partner and I are servers and we know when it's reasonable and unreasonable to ask for a new table but regardless the host was really rude in how she handled us.
The next table was dirty, our server never brought us silverware, his shirt was covered with food. If this was a simple sports bar I wouldn't care but this is an expensive, nice restaurant that gave us a cold, unwelcoming, dive-bar experience.
Dined outside. Noisy with the traffic but that's not the restaurant's fault. Took a star off for service because we had to ask for silverware and napkins after our food arrived.
Service was impeccable, food great as always. This is a place to check out
Rude front of house staff even though the place was nearly empty
Very attentive waiting staff with great happy hour and brunch options.
Great service and experience
Great food and some of the best happy hour in the city! Good service and nice to sit outside. Deviled eggs are great and highly recommend the smash burger.
Our server was awesome! And the food was delicious! Especially the wings!
Waiter rushed us to order, brought out incorrect whiskey flights, and a cocktail was pure syrup, no alcohol. Have been here multiple times in the past and enjoyed it, maybe issues are waiter-related. Food was amazing as always and I love the spot. Will definitely be back, the 3 I went with had never been and I was singing VW’s praises ahead of it. All want to give them another shot
Fantastic experience with great burgers and old fashions - will be back again!
Food was delicious! We sat outside and a heater was quickly moved over next to our table since the temperature was in the low 50’s.
Ubeatable happy hour deals! Nothing too special but a nice place.
Nice brunch/ lunch spot!
Donnie was one of the best waiters-ever!!!!
Love the vibe. The food was delicious.
service and food were both excellent! deviled eggs and tator tots were awesome as well as the old fashions! husband had the whiskey king burger and loved it. new space in Tinto is a nice expansion
Great happy hour! Loved the breakfast radishes. Should include bread with the order. Happy hour drinks priced right. Lamb burger tasted good.
Somewhat unfortunate that our outdoor table was right next to the hydrant that everyone seemed to be using to park at while they picked up their Shake Shack order...and all of them felt the need to keep the car running while they waited. Car exhaust is not much of a flavor enhancer.
Drinks were good, fried pickles were excellent, and the breakfast radishes were interesting - IMO, it would have been better to swirl the goat cheese and butter together rather than having butter on one side and cheese on the other. Sorry to find that the raw bar advertised on Open Table is no longer a thing.
Will probably check them out again when indoor dining is available again.
Food and cocktails were great. The Garces creativity showed through even with simple comfort food. Waitress was terrible. Took 10 minutes to even be acknowledged, another 5 to get a cocktail, she forgot two items that we ordered, but we would still go back and cross our fingers that we got a better server.
The food was amazing. Highly recommend the short rib fries.
Nice fun place with a great whiskey selection. Staff are very accommodating and helpful.
Our waitress didn’t communicate with us. Showed no interest in being our waitress. Rushed us out.
Needs to be heated.
Great food and beverages. Friendly staff and the food came out quick. Top 10 burger I have ever had.
Put at a table up against waiter station and bathrooms facing a solid white tile wall. Looked like we were IN the bathroom. Server never showed any emotion or any interest in being there.
Food was decent - I remembered it being much better. Lamb burger was tough. Drinks are very expensive.
Part of the fun of village whiskey before was getting a coveted seat at the bar so that magic is lost now that they have spread into the space that was formerly tinto. The kitchen may still be working out some kinks as both people in our party ordered burgers but the temperature was medium-well despite requesting medium rare.
This place use to have a nice vibe. But the host took me to another room and the ambient vibe was not there. It felt really off like i was not at village whiskey that I remembered.
Felt very safe. Good distance between tables. First time eating indoors in past year. Great burgers, apps and drinks!
Delicious food and great setting!
Great girls night spot. The happy hour drinks & snacks were on point. Very delicious, our waitress was so nice, informative and attentive. We definitely will be back
The food and service are great! I love the fried pickles/ they have the best tater tots I've ever had.
Village Whiskey's expanded dining room is awesome; felt safe and distant from everyone else dining there. Turkey smashburger was delicious, and so was the cocktail of the month!
Great place, food, drinks and service.
Food very good. Expected to sit in the bar area but was seated next door. Wasn’t the usually cozy feel.
Great food, fantastic service. The cheese and short-rib fries are incredible and they do a mean old fashion.
Great service. Consistently good food. Will be back
Delicious pickled beets. Loved my BBQ pork sandwich and the whiskey selection. Overall great experience.
