North Wales, PA. First of all, the hostess was fabulous! The waiter was very nice but they were short staffed and had him taking care of a large family reunion at the outdoor bar. We sat outdoors which was great but the service was very slow. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. The waiter kept apologizing and was attentive at some points but overall slow service. We actually got tired of someone to take our check and credit card and started walking to the hostess desk but our waiter ran up to us and took care of it. The food was great. Apps should come with 4 pieces instead of 3 (cheesesteak egg rolls) - it’s easier to share. My steak was cooked the way I asked - med rare with outside charred. However the steak was a bit fatty and the mushroom sauce was over salted. The outdoor patio is great and the band was also very good. This was our first time at this restaurant and we will try it again. It could have been an off night.
Food was delicious as were the specialty cocktails. The wait staff was very attentive. We enjoyed our time. We were seated in the dining room area- it is far enough away from the bar that you forget the bar is there. We were able to enjoy dinner and conversation.
Been going to the Tavern for years and something has happened. We had reservations and were to be on patio. Got there with party of four and had another group meeting us for total of 12? Took 40 minutes to get a seat. But it looked like understaffing was problem as I saw multiple open tables. We cancelled our table and regrouped elsewhere. Very disappointed
We dined early and on the outdoor patio on a beautiful spring day. We practically had the patio to ourselves. Delightful! Also, our server, Tori was great! all around great time and food and drinks were good.
2nd time here. Food is delicious, but comes out a little slow : / Overall GREAT place for some original and terrific meals. Keep up the great work!
Our server Gabby was outstanding. Her recommendations were delicious. It’s a new-ish neighborhood place, and we will definitely be back!
It was very good. Everyone enjoyed their food. The ambiance was good - we were in a quiet corner. We will return.
I’ve only been here a few times and every time I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Thank you for your exceptional service.
We were very disappointed with our visit. The appetizer plates had dirty food on the & the water glasses were dirty. Two members of our party couldn't see due to the sun streaming directly in their faces. The server was polite enough to block the sun while we ordered, after seeing us hold up the menu to block the sun. Two of us ordered soup which was never served & we ended up canceling it after our entree's came out.
The food was good but the service was lacking
The food was below par.
The staff was great especially our server and the manager. The manager came over to talk to us and was very friendly and our server was extremely nice. The food was very good. The atmosphere is a little dated but since they are under new management, I'm sure they will improve that as well.
New owners, and this place is a hidden gem. Very tavern-like atmosphere, but our recent meal was worthy of being served at some of the most expensive restaurants on Open Table. I highly recommend.
