This March we are celebrating our 20th anniversary of operation and service to the community. We will be offering a 6-course tasting menu with the option of a wine pairing in addition to our full regular dinner menu. The coursed meal will be offered at $50 a person and with the wine pairing it will be offered at $75 per person. Take a trip down memory lane as we offer some of our favorite menu items of all time.

I took the filet mignon, which it was not really one. I had a hard time cutting it. Not usually what happens when you take a filet mignon.

Everything was delicious and temperature appropriate. The bartender, with the Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, was friendly and provided quick service. Our servers were helpful without being intrusive. It was a wonderful brunch.

We went during Restaurant Week. When we got there it wasn’t too busy but it soon got busier. Our waiter came to check on us only once after our entree came. Entrée was delivered by another server. We would have liked to order another glass of wine but the waiter didn’t come to check on us until we were on our last bites of the entree. None of us wanted another drink at that point. Also, another patron said there wasn’t enough powdered sugar on the beignet, like the ones she had in New Orleans and his comment was “well you are in Winchester”. That was an inappropriate response in my opinion. Overall, our experience was good but the waiter gave us a negative vibe when thinking about the meal.

We visited V2 for the first time during Winchester's Restaurant Week with a couple of friends. The modestly-priced menu (great value) was varied and interesting, offering a variety of flavor profiles from which to choose. We arrived a few minutes earlier than our schedule reservation but were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The interior reflected Winchester's historic elements and was tastefully decorated. Our servers appeared promptly and offered helpful information regarding the menu and beverage options. Our first course of oysters was carefully shucked (no little shell pieces!!), and the oysters were plump and fresh. Our main courses (Wagyu meatloaf and Maryland crab cakes) were equally delicious - shared bites prompted oohs at the quality of the food. The dessert course - beignets with chocolate and hazelnut - it was Mardi Gras - was a unanimous hit. Throughout the meal servers appeared with fresh plates, wine glasses, and water service. Their presence was never intrusive and always polite and helpful. Altogether dinner was a fantastic experience and we are looking forward to our return soon.

This was Valentine's day and they were very busy but the staff handled it very well. Our server was very good and the busboys were always around to help. This place combines fine dining food with a casual atmosphere. We dined there on Thanksgiving and will probably celebrate most special occasions with them.

We have been eating at the Village Sq for years; however, this was the best meal we have ever had there. I shared three dozen assorted oysters with my friend, and they were outstanding. The scallops were expertly prepared. Their bourbon list has improved and to get a pour of EH Taylor, single barrel for $20 was great. Will be back. The new owner, Dan, who is well known in Winchester, has really done an amazing job.

We went for New Year's Eve. The atmosphere was very cozy. We were greeted right away and sat right away. The service was pretty good as the wait staff was attentive. Food - Fair. We were expecting better flavor. The prime rib was just okay as it was doused in what appeared to be a gravy. Beans were bland andonly 5 strings at best. Chicken was fair. Again doused with a gravy/brown sauce. 4 spears of asperagus. We never received our bread either. We also did not receive appropriate knives for our dinners. All in all fair experience but not sure it was worth the price tag of $150.00. Probably won't be back.
