The "typical" American Steakhouse is dominated by a schedule, and guests expect food to be rushed to their table and eaten quickly. Here at Village Chophouse, we take a more relaxed approach. Plan for up to two hours, enoying a sit-down dinner where you can truly connect to those closest to you.

Our organic menu offers exquisite cuts of beef sourced from small farms in the United States such as Aspen Ridge, Snake River Farms, Cascade Creek and Niman Ranch. We also serve premium seafood and offer nightly specials. In addition to our regular menu our Chef creates a four-course tasting menu that changes monthly. All of this is complemented by an extensive wine list along with a seasonal Cocktail and beer menu.

It had been a little while since we’d been here. As a matter of fact it was when John had it as JW Wine Bistro. It was great then and now just as good, if not better! The bouillabaisse was so delicate and yummy, the chicken was to die for and the the dry aged beef was delicious! We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for an amazing meal served by awesome people!

This was our first visit to the Village Chophouse. Such a gem in Oak Creek. Beautiful setting, very quaint atmosphere. Our server, Wil was outstanding. Very informative & knowledgeable, his suggestions were bang on. We started with the Clam chowder & French onion soup. Best I ever had. The meals were outstanding. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary, so Wil comped our desert. We have dined at all of the other popular restaurants in Sedona, and this beats them all, hands down. Our new favourite restaurant in Sedona.

John has done it again with another wonderful meal. We had the Wagyu T-bone. It was done to perfection and truly a magnificent cut of meat. Friends had the lobster. Enjoyed the environment and the company. Always nice to see John R.

I would highly recommend adding this to your list of places to eat in Sedona. Will was so friendly, educational, and prompt with his service, I would ask for him when you visit. We loved the food and ambience of the restaurant.

The Pot Roast and the Buffalo Mozzarrella were very flavorful and well thought out. The Salmon was thick-which was great, but not cooked through. When the same piece was reheated (which is kinda gross-shoulda just started over because I ate a bite and cut through it) it came back on the same plate, and charred-similar to the broccolinis on both plates. The cheesecake was thick and dry and and was difficult to finish. Overall, the place was well decorated, quiet and romantic and the staff was extremely friendly and we will probably give them another try in the future.

The food and waitress were great, However, we asked to sit outside. The inside dining felt cramped and loud. Couldn’t hear my wife speaking. Lots of kitchen noise as the cooking is done just feet from you. There is also a 4% fee for using a credit card. I can understand that for a food truck or when you are buying a cheap meal at a low priced restaurant. Just two plates were $118, and you’re going to charge me to cover your merchant fee too? Really?

This place is outstanding, the food was amazing, cooked exactly the way I like it, had the filet mignon. The owner, Johnny, made it a point to see everything was well with us. Our server, Will, was knowledgeable, prompt, and attentive. If you are looking for a steak, or other meats in Sedona and can only go one place then go to the Village Chophouse. If you can go to two places then go to the Village Chophouse twice :)

Crab cakes and soups were exceptional. Entree’s came out and they were both just slightly warm not hot. Fries were very hot. We are thinking our plates got cold waiting for the Fries to finish. Good portion on the pot roast. Pork chop was good but nothing special. Just a single average thickness chop I would cook at home. It was cooked well so still was moist. In my opinion not worth the money. I have had way better elsewhere.

Great little restaurant. Everyone at our table of four was very pleased with their entrees. Will was an excellent waiter having made great suggestions. And the carrot cake - the best I’ve ever had!

As always, Chef John and his team of culinary artists knocked it out of the park. The wedge salad was great, and wagyu meatloaf was unbelievable. 0ur server, Calvin, took our order by memory and delivered it perfectly. The Village Chophouse is not a, but THE "hidden gem" in the Verde Valley.

We loved Village Chophouse! Our waiter Will was awesome, he knew everything about all that was on the menu. My husband had the 22oz. t-bone, it was cooked to perfection and he said it was the best steak he's ever had. I had the scallops, with wild rice peas and butternut squash and a beautiful beur blanc sauce. The meal was awesome and we can not wait to go back! Chef and owner Johnny was great, he has put together an awesome team!

As always, Chef John and his team of culinary artists knocked it out of the park. Our crab cake appetizer, the wedge salad, and the grilled salmon were awesome. Our server, Will, was great on his first night "soloing" at the Chophouse. Our party of eight was celebrating two birthdays and was treated to two complimentary desserts. The Village Chophouse is a "hidden gem" in the Verde Valley.

There are some people in the world that have the expectation that when they’re spending $60 that they’re getting $60 worth of food. I tend to look at value from an overall perspective. Food cost includes not just the raw materials but also the labor, the cost of operating, all of the efforts that have gone into the restaurant making it an enjoyable experience. Village chophouse delivers on both quality and an overall dining experience. I enjoy spending money there because I know that I’m going to get an equivalent value.

We had a very delicious dinner with almost every dish five-star. The Polenta appetizer, Crab Cakes, Asparagus and especially the Scallop Entrée were all fabulous. The only miss was the Caesar salad which was overdressed. The presentation on each dish was very appealing and the portions were nicely sized. The wine selection could be more extensive, but our server made a very good substitute suggestion. Our friendly waiter was very casual, but that worked for us. We're looking forward to our next visit to repeat some selections and try others .

All food is delicious and you can customize it to a certain extent by selecting one of a number of sauces. Fair warning, the baked potato is the largest we've ever seen. The pot roast is fork tender, no knife needed. Crab cakes amazing. All choices wonderful.

Several items were sold out. We had to ask for their drinks menu and later we had to ask about desserts. Food was good in general but a couple of our dishes were too salty. Okay in general but pricing was high for the quality of the food, service, and venue.

Top quality food from the sides, the proteins & the sauces. Had a bottle of my favorite Albariño which was kept chilled the whole time with fresh pours always arriving at the perfect time. Service by Calvin was impeccable. Absolutely darling inside with lovely decor/ambience. Love the hand rolled wash clothes in the restroom, great touch! Was the best place to bring in my clients to celebrate a successful closing of their home. This will always be my go-to place! John & Nikki Ramagli you are the gems of the VOC ❤️

This is probably one of the best restaurants in Sedona area. Had friends who were raving about it so we decided to try it. Everyone in our group loved there main dish. We had the ribeye, pork chop, scallops, and shrimp. Three of us also had the chowder. It was good however a little too thick for my New England tastes. It is not cheap but we all agreed it was worth the money. Definitely recommend.
