It appear that they block cell phone reception inside the restaurant as there was an important call that went to voicemail.

The only problem we haatted was when we ordered lattes and our waiter told us they didn't have any milk to make the lattes.

The food and craft cocktails are amazing. We had great service and accommodations. The bread they served before dinner was delicious. Wonderful experience here!

Came here for lunch with out of town friends. Excellent food and location. We ordered egg Benedict with crab cake, shrimp Louie salad, steak banh mi and chicken salad. Each dish is delicious and beautifully presented. Sat outside and had great view of Santana Row. A great experience for us and our friends.

I was surprised at the poor service and hoping it's a one off. Breakfast took 35 minutes after tracking down the server and also speaking with the manager. I expected more than a reduction of $4 off the bill.

Yesenia, our waitress provided us ample time to choose our cocktails and water and then with time between our appetizer and entree. She was attendent but acknowledged our request for private conversation. She explained the special and answered questions regarding entrees. She came back frequently to see if we needed anything. It was a Sunday evening and not sooo busy that we also got to get a personal side too. Good luck to Yesenia on her future nursing career! Hope she gets lots of tips to help her. Village Calfornia Bistro and Wine Bar is always my go to! Love that place !

Service was awesome but unfortunately the fish and chip were not the best, the inside of the batter on fish was wet it should have been dropped in fryer a minute or two longer and the fries were limp and soggy, edible but not the standard I had here previously , we did mention it to the server and he said he would let the chef know to avoid this happening again

Food was decent. The server was smiling and friendly but had NO knowledge of what was in the food and had to be asked more than once to ask the cook. I asked about the soup and she never asked and then told us at the end of our meal. We asked for break with olive oil. She brought the olive oil and forgot the bread. No training. No menu knowledge. We were going to have dessert but decided that might be more work than it was worth so we skipped it.

We were having a girls shopping trip to Santana Row last Saturday and we decided to make a reservation a few days prior at Village California Bistro & Wine Bar. We got very hungry and decided to see if they were able to seat us early, and they were able to let us move up our reservation, which was very nice as they were busy. It was a warm day but the umbrellas kept us cool. The drinks were terrific! We had the Blood Orange Martini and the Spicy Margarita. We enjoyed our cocktails with a wonderful Mediterranean style appetizer of hummus and other wonderful Greek flavors. For our main course, two ladies at our table ordered the Tuna Melt & Cheeseburger to share - they raved about it. Another gal had the Fish & Chips and said it was really great as well. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich that came with honey jalapeños - it was pretty spectacular! Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating and the service all around, was really good. We will definitely visit again and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
