We were visiting a college from out of town and stopped in for late dinner. Food and people were great!

We have eaten here many times, it is a bit of a splurge for us (basically because of the drinks, which are still the best not never the cheapest). Have always found the food to be exceptional (love the chorizo, grilled shrimp tapas, the carne on a board fo4 2 or 4). The menu was pared down SIGNIFICANTLY to where none of the dishes we would have ordered were on the menu anymore. Wanted the board of meats, potatoes and accompaniments for 4. Very disappointed. Out of the 4 meals we did order, 2 were great (both salmon with crispy skin), 2 were disappointments (carbonara and flank steak). Drinks are exceptional still, so tapas and drinks next time. Won’t have a full dinner here. So sad, it was a great restaurant and now it’s just average.

Went for Sunday brunch and was quite disappointed. The food selection was ok, not great. We arrived only half an hour after brunch began and food in the warming trays were warm at best. Waffles and French toast were cold and hard. Raw seafood had a horrible taste. Selection overall was not worth $30 per person, especially when they didn’t include a Bloody Mary, only a mimosa which we don’t like. We certainly won’t be back for brunch again.

The tapas are overpriced. The dinners are overpriced.
There is a happy hour were the tapas are half price but you have to sit at the bar.
My friend had the beef stew and it was not very good.
My fish dish was fair.

Great night out, food was very good, our waitress Maria was excellent and spot on with wine recommendations and as an added bonus- it was belly dancing night! Good time!

We were a group of four who ordered several entrees and tapas, plus wine and dessert. Nothing really wowed us. We felt this was not a good value for the price. Maybe this place is more for the breakfast and lunch crowd.

Food was good but the music was outrageously loud. And it was jazzy so even more annoying. Others in the restaurant noticed also so it wasn't just me. The tables are way too close together for a Milford joint; expected in NYC but not in the burbs. I won't return.

My wife and I have been here before on one of our dates and we loved it the first time and even more so the second time. We took our friends here and they loved it as well. Good portion sizes and reasonably priced. The service was stupendous. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The only drawback is that I wish the place was a little bigger.

The Spanish/Mediterranean food was incredibly delicious. There tapas portions are much more generous as compared to other restaurants. We had their hummus and a mixed meet dish for tapas and split their paella. We were stuffed! The hummus has a very unique flavor almost as if they used cheese (I'm pretty sure they didn't) The grilled meats and their paella were equally excellent, especially the chorizo. All of the meats fell apart they were so tender. And the paella was just right (not too salty as I find in most restaurants.)

A definite repeat for us.

I was pleased to find another option in Milford, a place I regularly visit on business. There were only a few customers there so it was a lovely, quiet atmosphere. In spite of the lack of customers service was pretty slow and laid back. It wasn't really a problem, but I don' feel that one should need to call out to a waiter in order to get his attention to order a glass of wine. The food was o.k., certainly not on pair with a Tapas experience like Barcelona in New Haven, for example. But, I'd probably return.

Had a girls night date with friends. We sat on the deck, the post road is loud but the ambiance and decor on the deck makes it feel like you're elsewhere. The service was amazing! Tapas were great especially the flank steak, mussels and goat cheese in prosciutto. Pricey but worth it!! Can't wait to try brunch!!! Thank you Village Bistro!! And thank you to our Waitress, I wish I remembered her name, so friendly and your recommendations were perfect!

This place is a gem!!! I'm so glad I found it . I Love the ambiance. I Can't rave more about the food and wine selection. If you're looking for entertainment this is the place, from Belly dancers ,reggae and jazz there is always something exciting going on. Awesomely attentive staff, but not overbearing service, cozy and warm bar area and very knowledgeable bartenders {Rob&April} are the best ..the outdoor seating area is just as beautiful as the main dining room and virtually doubles the size. Very pleasant atmosphere and always an enjoyable and memorable dinning experience.

We were very disappointed at the quality of products used in these tapas - had some bad mussels in an otherwise average paella after a portobello mushroom that was more garlic than mushroom. We eat tapas frequently after having lived on French/Spanish border for many years and these tapas are over-dressed and over-complicated perhaps to make up for inferior ingredients. Very sweet service throughout however, supplied by our server Elena - but we've had stomach troubles since we left.

Service felt rushed. We quickly ran out of room on the table for the different dishes, which were brought out in no particular order. But overall the food was good.

good food. however, you shouldn't have to pay entree prices for tapas dishes. Also, happy hour specials advertised on website is misleading (bar area only applies was written in tiny lettering-sneaky)

Great food, all the tapas favorites. Wonderful wines by the glass and excellent service. Add in the Flamenco dancers and it was a dinner to savor and remember!

I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Our waitress was absolutely fabulous. She was patient and answered all of our questions about the menu. She always came over at exactly the right time to refill drinks and allow us to order more tapas. Her honesty in recommendations was especially appreciated.
I only have two negatives of our experience. One is that the room was quite cold. It left me feeling chilly so I left my coat on, but since we were leisurely eating and drinking, the food got cold at the table very quickly. The other is that one of my favorite things about tapas restaurants is doing a chef tasting menu, where you receive multiple courses of tapas at one price point, being surprised by each dish that comes out and sometimes getting seasonal items that aren't on the menu. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not have that option. If it did, my friends and I would be here at least weekly.
I will definitely be back! I heard they have awesome entertainment too, so I want to check it out on one of their special nights.

Our group of 5 tried six tapas. Scallops, hummus, falafel, and chicken quesadilla were excellent. calamari was very good just a little salty. Shrimp ceviche was beautifully presented in a martini glass but was awkward to share amongst five people. Atmosphere was fun and lively but not too loud or crowded. Difficult to find at night if you aren't familiar with the area. The sign outside is not lit up and the restaurant is tucked away between a closed clothing store and a psychic! Overall we had a great time and will definitely go again.

I had the duck entree which was delicious but small in size. The food came out at odd times because it is cooked fresh. The restaurant was very cold and I had to keep my coat on

We were driving around the area, looking for lunch and landed here. It was pretty quiet when we arrived so we wondered but the food was good and the service friendly. The bar seems to be the main attraction here so the dining room on the other side of a partition is a little dark.

Quaint little place with great food, nice bar and wonderful service! Bartenders are fantastic! Weekend entertainment varies from DJ's to Flamenco Dancers and everything in between. Wouldn't surprise me if in a short time they move to a larger location!

The Ambiance at this restaurant was fabulous. The decor was classy and full of interesting items. I loved the wine wall and pierced metal. An old door in the middle divided the bar from the dining area and really set it off. Nice job!

We made a reservation for a family gathering. We knew that price range isn't for everyday dining out for an average person so that wasn't a surprise.
We loved the décor - very unique and tasteful with attention to details. Get a glass of wine and you will feel you are in Spain.
Food was great. We had a tuna and a steak tartars - very fresh. Music matched the theme of the Bistro which is rare. Audible in the background sound of Spanish acoustic guitars just made the whole experience that much more memorable. We had guests from NYC who travel a lot and they were pleasantly surprised too that places like that can be found outside of big metropolis.

This was our first time at Village Bistro. We will go back again as the food was good, although a little over-priced. Not quite as good as some other tapas restaurants.
