Have been here before but tonight was very disappointing. Server never acknowledged us until hostess checked on us. The special appetizer was tasty. Bread was good but never got the dipping sauce until the bread basket was empty. Food was bland. Part of the grouper was undercooked. Hesitant to return.
Special occasion. Anniversary and birthday. Serviced rushed. Salads came before appetizer. Given someone elses check after meal.
Food was good, the ambiance and service was good, but we expected more flavor and elegant dining for the cost. Our server was very nice and attentive.
Villa Tuscanna restaurant had a nice Italian feel with linen table cloths and napkins, comfortable booths or tables and Italian wallpaper scenes on the walls. The music (recordings of male soloists singing in English) was a little too loud for my taste, but on Mother’s Day the place was full of happy patrons. The fresh bread and olive oil dipping sauce and side salad were included with any entrée. They were both very good. My Chicken piccata dish was plentiful but my chicken was, in my opinion, overcooked meaning it could have been more tender. The Chardonnay, butter, and garlic sauce was a bit too “tangy” for my taste. The penne pasta was fine. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. It seem like the other waitresses I observed were equally attentive to their patrons. My unsweet iced tea was good and my husband enjoyed his 16 ounce beer. My husband’s entrée was calamari with linguini in Fra Diablo sauce. There was a choice of three sauces for this dish. Each of our entrees cost $18.95. There are many options of Italian dishes on the menu, at higher and lower prices, so it is hard to judge a restaurant the first time you eat there. Would I give it another shot? Absolutely.
Best Italian restaurant I've been to. The chicken parmesan and chicken fettuccine alfredo were mouth watering. The wine was perfect. Waiter was pleasant and attentive. I thought restaurant was a little loud but it was just one large party next to us. As soon as they left, noise level went down tremendously. Tiramisu is a must have! We will be going again.
Unfortunately, I would not recommended friends to visit this restaurant. Although our food was good, our service was mediocre at best. We waited 30 min for our order to be taken, and that was after we told the server we were ready when he gave us the specials; we had to all but stand up to flag down someone when one of the entrees was not to our liking and we waited another 20 min for our check to be picked up.
I completely understand waiting when your busy. But this was just unacceptable. This was not the first time we ate there, but it may have been the last.
We felt like we were in a race!! Everything was rushed. Time spent in the restaurant from when we walked in, to leaving, was 1 hour, which included cocktails. Bread came with the soup and salad. We were only half way through eating them, and our main courses came. We hadn’t finished our meals and were asked if we needed boxes. Then bill came before my husband had finished eating.
Very disappointed. It was supposed to be a relaxing, romantic evening.
This was our second time there. They food is amazing and the portions are huge. My son (12yro) and I share the chicken parm and we still can't finish it. Our waiter was ok, not one of their best. We will definitely be going back next time we're down.
We absolutely love this place!!
Extremely loud - piercing at times. Caesar salad had too much dressing and we have had much better eggplant Parmesan elsewhere.
Got seated immediately for our reservation but afterwards a table of ladies with rather loud voices were seated at the next table. We quietly asked to move and were relocated. The rest of the evening was wonderful!
With only a week to spend in North Myrtle this year, we chose to have dinner there twice. Over the years we have always had a perfect dining experience there. The sauces are delightful, everything is fresh, and the staff is gracious and attentive. Be sure to make a reservation to beat the local folks to a table!
Excellent food and service. A little loud but did not bother me
This is by far my favorite restaurant!
The food and service are always excellent!
Always a good place for Italian food. The best in North Myrtle Beach.
As always the food was good and the service was excellent. My wives Fish was very good. I had the special which would be fish I have not heard of before and it was just OK
Everything was outstanding. Victoria was excellent. I recommend it to all my Uber customers.
Best Italian restaurant! We make sure we get there every time we’re in Myrtle Beach! The food is so good!! Staff is so friendly! Highly recommended!
DELICIOUS!!! We found this by fluke last week but did not have a reservation and it was 1.5 hour wait so decided to try another time. We made a reservation for our family's last night together. Everything was wonderful..authentic cuisine. Mauro was our server and he was very kind and attentive. The oil for the bread was something we would have loved to have spooned and eaten like soup. House salad was fresh and dressing perfect. Soup of the day was tomato basil and this was compared to Boudin Bakery in San Francisco. Everyone ordered different entrees and everyone enjoyed their meals. The portions were very large and we all have enough for lunch tomorrow. Dessert was offered but sadly "who had room?" Hopefully we will another time. We will be back for sure and definitely recommend Villa Tuscanna.
Great food, great service.
My golf group goes to myrtle beach every year and this was our first time to Villa Tuscanna. Everyone in the group was in agreement that it should become a regular stop.
Best Italian in North Myrtle Beach. All the food is homemade and delicious doesn't quite describe it. Off the grid does!!! I had the Veal Parmigiana and it was wonderful. Service is always excellent and it doesn't matter who the server is. Highly recommended!!!
Absolutely fantastic from food to service. Excellent experience.
We always enjoy eating here. The food and service is great.
The service was excellent and the food exceptional as always. We always make sure that we visit Villa Tuscanna every time we’re in North Myrtle Beach.
I was in charge of dinner plans for eight of us (golfers), used Open Table to book the reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. We had two Italians in the group and they said this place is as good as it gets for selection and quality of food. We all loved our entrees, our drinks, and our service. We went at 6:30pm on a Saturday, it filled up quickly after we arrived. Great value.
New remodeling looks great!
Food always great!
Fabulous food! Perfect place to dine! Worth the wait.
My favorite Italian restaurant ANYWHERE!
great food and menu selections, wine list is very extensive Italian wine selections that pair well with the dishes
We were visiting from Boston. My wife had the Linguine & Clam Sauce and I had the Shrimp & Scallop dinner. Food was very good and the ambiance was excellent. We both agreed that we would eat here again when we come to SC.
This is one of our places for special occasions. Always great food. They don't rush you like some places looking to turn over the table.
We are always pleased with the specials and the knowledgeable service staff especially Melissa Ray!
On our first visit she has been Above and Beyond and 2 years later, we still request
We have had excellent service from others as well!
Seafood especially the Catch of the day is always superior to the competition.
Definitely our go to establishment when friends and guests are in town
Thanks for delivering services beyond reproach
As per recommendation from Trip Advisor & Open Table, it did not disappoint. This will be our new go to for Italian every time we visit the area.
We are home owners for 29 years in Little River, We have been long time customers of Villa Tuscanna and remember a waiter that told us he was the owner's brother.
I ordered a glass of wine. I received a large goblet which highlighted the little bit of wine in the glass.
Why use a giant glass and then fill it about 1/4 way?
At dinner the other night, I ordered Chicken Marsala. The chicken was cooked good and tasted good, but the dish had about 20 ziti noodles and about 6 mushrooms throughout the plate but I might be overestimating. The dish needed a little more of both and seemed rushed or chintzy -
As you know, there are many, many choices for dinner here in SC and we will not be in a rush to go back to Villa Tuscanna.
Always consistent with good food choices, service & ambience.
Grouper florentine sauce very soupy making the dish less desirable. All other food was delicious
Had a reservation for 6, one of whom could not join us. We were seated promptly and our waitress was a wonderful young lady. Our drinks and food was outstanding, no complaints here. The noise level really accelerated as the Friday night crowd filled the restaurant. We found it a little too noisy by the time we left.
Have been to Villa Tuscana several times and never disappointed. Will be back!
Great place to eat. Call ahead for specials--some days are better than others
We are never disappointed when we go here. Food is so good and Mauro is the best.
