About this restaurant

Established 76 years ago, Villa Tronco Italian Restaurant is the oldest restaurant in South Carolina. The restaurant was opened by Sadie "Mamma"Tronco in 1940. Since then, it has been owned and operated by three generations of the Tronco family. Currently, husband and wife Carmella Martin and Joe Roche, who are members of the fourth generation, also work at Villa Tronco. Villa Tronco first introduced pizza to Columbia, and is known to serve pasta and other authentic Italian food. Samples of what the menu features include paninis, Pollo & Vitello and Dolci items. Entertainment options include an Opera Night on the 1st Thursday of every month, as well as Broadway Nights on the 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month.
