I will give this place another try, but our experience wasn't what I'd expect. We went on a Monday night (during the Gem show - so am cutting them a little slack), and they were out of far too many items. As soon we were seated, the waiter was taking our drink order - I asked what kind of tonic water they had, he said that they were completely out - they had run out the day before (don't think it would have been hard to pick up some more.) When we were ordering dinner, we found out that they were also out of 2 kinds of fish that made a couple of dishes unavailable (the waiter failed to mention any of this before we'd made our selections). My husband then asked for the roast chicken and they had run out of that the day before too. I had the ceviche which was good, as was my husband's veal hearts. Either they need to develop a better relationship with their suppliers or close on Mondays.

The ceviche is amazing. The fish is marinated just before serving, so it's tender and flavorful.

Pisco was good. Ambient music was amateurish violinist. But not unwelcome. Good authentic food. Authentic Peruvian service.

Food was authentic and service was excellent. Only shortcoming was their pisco sours were not quite up to Peruvian standards and left a little something to be desired. I think they neglected one ingredient, but I couldn't quite place which one it was. Will definitely return again, but I'll probably skip the pisco sour and stick to Inca Cola.

I LOVE this place. The staff is extremely helpful, and can assist you in trying something you have never heard of. The food is spicy with different levels of Hot. They even have organic items on the menu. The fish is fresh and rates fantastic. I absolutely love the fried plantains. I would eat here daily if I could.

We enjoyed Villa Peru, and are anxious to return. The location is small, but nice. We were seated directly outside the kitchen door, which created a bit more traffic that you hope for on your Anniversary dinner. But this is definitely a place we could visit again. Good food and service!

The Corderito Norteno lamb shank fell right off the bone and was deliciously spiced. My husband was very impressed by the Carretillero ceviche. We finished the meal off with the delightful Picarones. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back there.

It's easy to miss this place tucked into the shopping center that features other heavyweight places like Sullivan's and newcomer Seis Kitchen. Parking is plentiful as there are doors on both the north and south ends of the building. The server was a friendly and knowledgeable young lady who had only been there three weeks, yet knew anything we asked her about. She recommended two dishes when asked, one a chicken dish and one with beef. Both came served with a scoop of rice. The beef entree was like a stew and the beef was quite tender and flavorful. I had the chicken which was also stewlike but mixed with potatoes. It was not hot and frankly, not that tasty. For dessert, we had traditional shortbread-like cookies filled with Peruvian caramel which was mild and delicious. Having been to Peru more than once, I didn't find this food necessarily reminiscent of those trips. I would go back one more time to see if I might try something a little more interesting but would withhold recommending to friends until I check it out further.

Learned about Villa Peru via Open Table. The service was excellent, and the food - selected with suggestions from our server - was just outstanding! We’ll happily return for more!

We have eaten here 3 or 4 times now and have tried a variety of dishes. We have enjoyed the chicken and the seafood dishes very much. The service is always good. We will continue to go. It is a neighborhood restaurant with really excellent fresh food.
