Birthday brunch! Really fun and great food
It was a great date spot. Would definitely come again!
Great service, they really make you feel at home. I can't say the food was amazing but it was good and the service enhanced the experience.
We were the only individuals in the restaurant, and I was disappointed with the ambience, and overall attention to service given we were the only ones there. The staff was kind. However, I felt the service could have improved with more attention to orders (who ordered what), and perhaps more attention given it was our first time there. I don't intend to go back.
Server are bartender were great. Food was good.
Delicious food. Friendly and attentive staff.
Get the duck tacos! Great spot for an early dinner/late lunch. Not too crowded, quick services, yummy food and drinks.
Margaritas and Enchiladas were so good!
Needs more choice on the menu both on food and drink.
The food here is amazing! I’ve never had duck enchiladas before but they were absolutely delicious. The staff was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of.
Everything gluten free is labeled on their menu and the quesadillas are made with corn instead of flour tortillas
Enjoyed the agua fresca, huitlecoche quesadilla. Crab tacos weren't my favorite as the lime from the guacamole overpowered the lighter flavors of the crab.
Service was polite and attentive.
Service was great, very accommodating but the food was just okay. I would go back for a drink but not for food.
I wanted to like this place but the food was just so so. The cauliflower tacos were actually pretty bad - soggy and not much flavor. The enchiladas were pretty flavorless too. My husband thought the pork plantain dish was really good though. Wouldn’t recommend.
Loved the birthday celebrations!
The food was fine.
Went there was a pulsd voucher and the service was great. Friendly place and food was decent. Would recommend and especially with the voucher.
Great dining experience. Staff was really attentive and friendly and went out of their way to show us a great time!! Food was amazing. I had the fajitas and the Jalapeño marg with cucumber was outstanding !! We will be back!!
Management gave us a hard time at the end of the meal when we asked them to split up the check. It took us 10 minutes to convince them to do so. Otherwise, experience was good.
Must try their brunch menu, I fell in love with the torta and mole con huevos. Rose sangria pitchers are delicious 😋
The service here is fast and friendly... beautiful lively ambiance.
We mostly did appetizers. The nachos seemed to be a modern take, with a fried taco layered with the traditional ingredients and finally layered with meat (chorizo in our case). Then we tried the various tacos on the appetizer menu. Every single one of them was delicious and did not disappoint. There was the duck tacos, the pulpo tacos (grilled octopus). There was a grilled cauliflour appetizer, that seemed to be seasonal which was also very good. The cocktails were decent, and not overly sweet (at least the mule that I had was not very sweet).
Yaymaker candle-making class.
Amazing service, great food - would definitely come back!
Great service, really reasonably priced food and drinks - get the pitchers for group efficiency!
Best place in the east village. Great food, great cocktails, elegant yet fun ambience. Most of all incredible hospitality... they look happy in their work of place and genuinely friendly!!!
Love love this Mexican food. Thank you so much guys
Just great 👍👍
We have been coming here for brunch and dinner and we absolutely love Villa Cemita. They always make us feel at home, with their impeccable friendly service. The food and chef are both sweet! It is so admirable to know a mother started this restaurant the food is a reflection of her passion for her cultural roots of Puebla, Mexico. Chef Alejandra’s food is spot on delicious and a real taste of Puebla, mole is a must try here. I’m glad we live near this place that has the heart of a mom and pop shop but you walk in and it’s so beautiful and elegant yet cozy, romantic and energetic and I highly recommended!
Delicious, fast service and great value. We went on Cinco De Mayo and i was fully prepared for a long wait; but the food came super fast and was exactly as we ordered. the steak nachos were the real deal with beautiful grilled steak...it was a meal in jtself! Delish margaritas too. will def be back.
The food and drinks were not good. The service was also quite bad - they failed to remove onions even though I have an allergy and forgot to give my credit card back at the end of the meal. $28 for five tacos is super overpriced given the quality.
Awesome place, with a cozy atmosphere and good food. I also appreciated the variety of drink selection and pricing. Definitely would recommend!
Villa Cemita was just fine. The chips, salsa, and guac were good. It was a birthday celebration and they brought out a dessert with fire works, which was amazing. The food is good and the margaritas were fine. For some reason it was very hot in the restaurant. It was also very noisy - but it was Saturday night.
I celebrated my birthday at Villa Cemita and it was a great night. My party was late and they sat half the party anyways. The service was excellent and the server was very attentive. The food was so amazing and I would highly recommend eating here. I will definitely come back for dinner.
Such a lovely experience! Great food, friendly service, nice ambiance, excellent drinks! Definitely recommended!
I've always wanted to go here and just had time to go recently. I loved the service here very genuine and friendly.
Food tasted delicious and the unlimited tacos and drinks on weekdays is spot on! Definitely worth your time
I’ve been to villa a bunch of times and always loved their food. I recently noticed the duck for 2. My date and I lovedddd it ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ absolutely recommend this place. They never disappoint.
Sebastian was amazing, the drinks were amazing, the food was amazing. Definitely recommend!!!
They charged my group $55 per bottle for prosecco although this price was no where to be found on the menu. This seemed absurd giving bottomless mimosa brunch was an additional $18. We just didn’t want the orange juice. Also the food was underwhelming.
Probably the best salad I ever had, very filling and delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it, the huitlacoche and poblano peppers adds such an interesting flavor. The chicken was tender and perfectly made. I can’t say how much I appreciated this salad entree, healthy and iconic!
I wouldn’t normally order wine at a Mexican restaurant but I gave a shot and it was also high quality wine. Everything about this place is lovely. The ambience is cozy, artsy, clean and romantic, my server was extremely friendly and funny. Such a great spot to stop by when in the East Village!
Drinks were excellent. Food just OK. Recommend for drinks.
Authentic, quiet and off the beaten path. Very attentive servers. Delicious mole poblano and enchiladas, great paella.
Brunch here is fun and if you’re like us you’ll be here for hours. Highly recommend for boozy brunch experience.
Tamal Benedict is the best Benedict I had. Whomever created it was really thinking outside the box. They also do this cool birthday bowls- is a churro bowl topped with gelato and fun toppings. Comes with sparkling candle and gave us a shot celebrating birthday.
Everyone around us seem to be having a good time, great vibes. The staff is all so friendly and sweet!
Thank you guys for making this brunch experience a blast!
Great for larger parties, as it seems popular with groups of 10-20 ppl. Drinking options mimosa, sangria, beer and my favorite frozen margaritas pitchers 2 hour limit per reservation is definitely better than other venues that try to push you to leave after an hour or so...finally found my brunch spot!
