Villa Blanca Ratings and Reviews
Loved that it was easy to get into on friday night. I had always wanted to go here, and have been to Sur (their other restaurant, along with Pump) - I absolutely love Sur (never been to Pump, tho heard it was great). The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff was fantastic. We ended up sitting at a side-by-side table (which we requested) near the bar area. It was lively observing people in that area. Had the scallops - very good. My partner had the chicken (not lemon, but the other one) he really liked it. We also had GREAT drinks - mojito and dirty martini - both made so perfectly we couldn't resist having 2! It's easy to find parking, the neighborhood is quiet. We would go again.
Back on a Sunday evening and practically had the place to ourselves, up until the end of the meal. So peaceful with the romantic surroundings, it makes you forget you're at a restaurant. My spouse and I shared the Spicy Prawn Arrabiatta and had the Double Fudge Chocolate Cake. Wow!
Trendy because of Housewives/Vanderpump fame. New chef so new food menu. Probably a tad on the pricy side, but portions are all large, so doesn't feel like you are paying a lot for nothing. Nothing was smashing, but everything was good. Cocktails all came in huge stemmed glasses, which is a bit annoying, but they tasted good! It's dimly lit, well-decorated. Seemed like it would be a great date spot!
I was excited to go to Villa Blanca as Ive heard wonderful things. Its a beautiful place BUT - must say Im not sure Id come back. My waitress was sweet but forgot my drink order, forgot the bread when i asked, my water was barely refilled (huge pet peeve). The other issue was an employees parents were next to me and EVERY employee from manager to bartender came to say hello. Not one turned to ask how I was doing. Maybe because I was sitting alone? Really not sure.
Lovely restaurant with friendly wait staff. We arrived shortly before happy hour, but the waiter said he'd make sure my drink was happy hour price. The food was delicious. Great pasta dishes. Unfortunately the drinks were not discounted for happy hour when we got the bill. I didn't pay, but I found out after I'd left from our friends. Wish I'd known, so I could have corrected that. I'd be willing to go back.
Those was a business meal with 10 colleagues - including a national manager
In short I was trying to impress some people with a local "foodie" spot - major disappointed all round.
Good looking place, and the decor was really pretty cool. Atmosphere was noisy.
Generally it was way overpriced. The food was good though slow to be served, and my risotto was not very hot when it did arrive. Additionally we had to wait about 20 mins for everyone at the table to be served before we could start eating.
Waited 30 mins to get a glass of wine, and another 30 mins to get a second glass for my colleague.
The service was really, really slow. The waitress was really nice - I do not think the service issue was her fault - her food and beverage team let her down.
Overall a disappointment - Not sure I would return.
Terrific prawn pasta. A bit pricey. I compare all Italian restaurants with my favorite fair priced Da Pasquale. Villa Blanca charges $5.00 to split a Caesar salad. You have to ask for bread. I don't consider this good respectful service. We will not return.
Love Villa Blanca awesome for any occasion from a post Oscar party to a Saturday afternoon bottle of bubbly!
Amazing staff! We love Brent and Kelsey they always provide the best service... make you feel like you’re with family! Jason sets high standards for his guest’s experience and it shows in everything they do!
Love the staff! ❤️
We’ll keep coming back again and again!
The must get drink “The Pumptini”!! Cheers! 🥂
I popped in for quick bite before meeting and I'm surprised the space has so little air flow. It was quite stuffy due to the increased temperatures outside. Nothing like sweating while you wait to order! Salad was lovely. Server didn't pay much attention to table, but assistant was very prompt with bottled water request.
The food was excellent. Staff very friendly and engaging. You would think it would have a stuffy atmosphere being in Beverly Hills but it was not like that at all. Prices are very reasonable. I am from Chicago and would have spent much more on a similar meals here.
Wednesday night at 7:30p and we are one of three occupied tables with the staff more interested in sitting around chatting. Two of the five in our party ordered the rack of lamb which arrived cool, quantity of three tiny ribs and the taste was mediocre at best. My wife’s chicken was dry as if it had been prepared hours before and warmed up. Bill was ~$450.
I will not return.
