Villa Blanca Ratings and Reviews
Server was very friendly. Seated promptly. Place was super dark like if it were lighter we’d see all the flaws. Food was very average, not much flavor. I had scallops over squid ink pasta for $38. It came with 3 modest sized scallops. Ordered a nice bottle of red ($85). It was warm. Bathroom seems shabby as did the whole place (where it was lit). Typical of a celebrity owned place (Lisa Vanderpump). I had low expectations so wasn’t too bummed.
I want to be fair and say that it was Valentine’s day and I knew it would be busy. Totally understood that. Being on a business trip, for the upcoming All-Star weekend, my husband and I went out for a meal because our hotel room service is extremely expensive. I checked the website and menu and saw “vegan options available. Please ask.” I made a reservation and noted that I would be asking for vegan options. I probably should have called first. After being seated, we were handed the Valentine’s Day menu, only. The waitress, who was very nice, said there were no vegan options but I could have the beet salad without cheese that was on the prix fixe. I am not a big fan of beets but a hungry girl makes due. She said she would see what else she could find and brought me some bread. Thankfully, I like bread. Our meals came out and my husband had the filet mignon with grilled asparagus and a portobello mushroom. That would have been good to eat with my salad. He shared a spear with me which I enjoyed. The salad was ok but as you can imagine, not very filling. Beets, grapefruit, candied pecans, and mache greens. For dessert, the waitress then brought me a tasty sorbet with raspberries. That was nice. My prix fixe was not the $75. It was only $45. 😫 On a regular night, perhaps my dining experience would have been better. There was no love for this plant based eater on Valentine’s day.
Was not told that there was a special limited menu for Valentines Day, only 3 choices. They obviously added tables as we couldn't move in our chairs as we were wedged into our space. The music was so loud that we had to ask for them to turn it down. Not a great experience
Stuck my wife and I at far end with pull curtain blocking the sun and continually blowing over our rocking and uneven table. We watched as they tried to sit several other couples who judiciously walked away insisting on better seats. We chose unfortunately to stay and bear it which in hindsight was a poor choice. The highly acclaimed food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed. The area has many other fine restaurants to choose from. Our suggestion is to do so.
One waiter basically thought his job was to be the entertainment for 2 tables of insanely loud groups seated at 2 separate tables. He encouraged them to scream and take approximately 10 pictures of each group. He, along with obnoxious people, raised the sound level in the restaurant to ear shattering loudness, do not get me wrong ,I was not looking for a quiet dinner at all but it was ridiculous!
Since the beginning the restaurant quality has gone down, way too Hollywood, sadly we won’t be back
The food was disappointing. We had to ask for silverware, none was provided for our main courses. The food was poorly prepared, I had the putanesca which was not hot, it was gluey and the pasta and sauce were stuck together. Had to ask for parmesan cheese. The restaurant was very noisy and we couldn't talk easily. The waitress tried her best, but it wasn't her fault. I felt ripped off for a Beverly Hills restaurant in prime location. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I was seated inside a table with plastic chairs, and all of the other chairs had confrontable learher dinning table chairs. I asked the server to change the chair, and the buss boy only changed my chair leaving the other one plastic one. And when he served me water he spilt some at the table without excusing himself. My friend was late, and when he came he took the liberté to change the chair himself as he refuses to seat at a plastic one. The table was not even and the same bus boy tried to put something underneath the table, problem was not really fixed but it it was moving less. I would have appreciate them changing our table
Our waitress and food was good.
Lovely spot to have lunch in Beverly Hills. Great people watching as it's right on Brighton and you can see everything pass by if you are on the terrace. I had a fantastic Cobb salad and the prosciutto and burrata appetizer is wonderful with olives. This is a super place to take a friend for lunch.
Food was fabulous. I took my friend there to celebrate our Birthdays. I told the waiter it was her Birthday. He said save room for dessert. I had to ask for water refill every time I needed water. Hate that. He never brought a candle or a tiny anything for our bdays. A little disappointed. Food & atmosphere were awesome. Will definitely go back!
This was my first time going to this restaurant! Let me tell you, the server (Rocco) was soo nice, hospitable, and listened & attended to our needs. If that wasn’t enough, the manager also did his part. I was very impressed. I can’t wait to return there again.
We went to Villa Blanca on a Saturday evening and made a reservation for 8pm. We were welcomed by somebody who looked as though she didn't want to be there, and said we had a choice - sit outside and wait 5 minutes or sit inside and wait 30 minutes, I asked if the outside area would be too cold - she said "don't worry we have heaters". We choice to sit outside - the gas heaters were 20' away from us and the electric heaters which were above us we were told by the server - didn't work - so it was quite cold. It took about 30 minutes for our chewy soggy calamari to come out and and hour for our main course to come out. I choice the Spaghetti Roma which was quiet enjoyable although the sides we ordered for the table were cold. I only drank water but found myself sitting with an empty glass most of the time. I am disappointing with our evening, it really didn't feel special, and I thought the food would be better. Our truffle fries has to get re-fried to be warm, and our fingerling potatoes looked a little long in the tooth. The atmosphere inside looked quite fun and the flower arrangements are spectacular - I just wish the food and the outside ambiance was a little more together. In the past I have ordered the fish and chips and thought it was an Ok meal, I am never able to eat the batter, it is always very thick and soggy and I pick the fish out of it. I feel as though they over do the "truffle oil" on some of the plates to the point of overpowering it - I am thinking of the Tuna Tartar in particular. The location is very convenient to park your car at the valet and enjoy some more local spots, we enjoyed that service. I just wish the food was sharpened up a little bit, the management invested the money to make the entire outside area comfortable by fixing the heaters or buying more gas burners and the person they put on the front desk could wear a smile as well as her thigh high boots. The gentleman who waited our table was very pleasant and professional.
Went simply because I’m a huge fan of Lisa Vanderpump. I was less than impressed. The restaurant was nothing like it is on television. The restrooms were especially disappointing. Being a restaurant owner my standards are high and my expectations were just not met. Our server missed multiple opportunities to upsell us on liquor and food. Overall just a bust.
We were hoping for a lovely evening in a what we thought would be a great restaurant. Our waitress was absolutely darling and we all sort of joked that she looked like a mini Lisa. We weren’t asked if we wanted a drink until after 15 minutes of sitting down. After placing just the drink order, it was then another 27 minutes to get out drinks:(.
And from that point it never got better. From ordering food, wanting another drink, clearing plates, waiting on “birthday” cake, restroom was dirty and no toilet paper in women’s restroom (had to tell hostess) and then waiting to receive check and pay. It was sad that the 4 of us said we would never return:(
Two of us took our friend for lunch to celebrate her birthday. The three of us have been their
many times before, but always for dinner. It was very nice for lunch. Had a great table. The food we had was very good. The Resturant was very busy, maybe that was why our service was not that great. It took sometime for us to get our coffee and dessert. But all in all we will
go back again.
It's a very small restaurant, but a beautiful one. The food and Sangria were delicious. Did nothing special for our anniversary, but enjoyed ourselves and the waitress was nice. The better tables are for larger groups, so better to visit if your celebrating something or with a group of four or more.
For the price there should have been no issues with our food. 2 menus were given to our table for 7 people to share. Most of us sat with our glasses empty. It took nearly 1 full hour to recieve our food once the order was placed. This was a bad first impression of eating here.
