Villa Azur Ratings and Reviews
Service was perfect, the place was kind of quiet but nevertheless service didn’t take it as an opportunity to get lazy. They were on point!
The apps, nothing blew you away but was still very good. Just didnt have the Wow
-Lobster Salad A-
-Tuna Tartar B+
For entree my wife and I had the chateaubriand for 2. It was A+ excellent and was so so large really should have been for 3.
Sides - potato au gratin, which was an A+++ and truffle fries get a solid A
Dessert, ice cream trio classic but refreshing (raspberry, Strawberry, Lemon)
Drinks, very short pours on my Makers neat. Cocktails were ok.
Ambiance was great, sat outside and was very nice. Def would go back for a special occasion or quiet romantic dinner on a weekday when its not too busy.
I really enjoyed everything about my visit to this restaurant, from the drinks we had a the bar with a very friendly bartender to all the staff that helped us in our table, everything was very delicate, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome...will definitely come back.
Waiter lied and said the service charge was not the tip which indeed it actually is. I actually paid an extra tip not realizing at the time he flat out lied to me. This is unacceptable. The food was not very good either and is too bad because the ambiance was nice.
Celebrated my birthday at Villa Azur over the weekend and overall it was not great! Service was terrible,my birthday cake got taken to another table outside, the food was not good and mine personally was cold. The octopus a friend ordered had no taste and we returned it. The wrong drinks were brought to our table as well. They tried to makeup for their mistakes however, by bringing our table shots and desserts. At the end of dinner when all of our bills came to the table, all had to be given back to the waitress Bc of errors on all of our bills. No discounts were given for service and staff errors.
Outstanding wine menu and food. Upscale, whimsical but clean, romantic ambience. Good DJ. I cant really even point out why, but the service was sub-par for such a place. Hard to point at what it was. They were friendly and courteous alright - maybe too impersonal - and always had the wrong timing with all questions about drinks, quality, satisfaction - too quick (hadnt tried the food yet) or too slow (took 10 minutes for first drink question)...
Overall one of the better places in town though!!
Nice ambiance and deco, friendly and helpful staff, good music (with DJ). Food was excellent, but on the very expensive side. Miami Spice menu selection was very good. Careful: 20% tip automatically added to check, valet parking is $30 plus tip (outrageous).
Such a disappointment dinner. Heard so much about this place. Waitress of totally not occupied all time. She was polite was not serving. Had to ask 4 times to order our food. The manager and came 2 times but did not have the common sense to take out order. This is what a manager suppose to do. HE kept telling us your server is coming and he would walk around like robort. It's a lovely place maybe for a drink but never for dinner.
FATAL! CERO ESTRELLAS POR NINGUN LADO!
Food was ok. Some starters were good; some average. Jamón Pata Negra looked like regular Jamon. Dishes were expensive and did not impress. Ravioli with truffle sauce has great flavor from truffles but the ravioli itself seemed like the ones I buy at the grocery store.
Overall food was good; for that price I expect great.
The place was beautiful, and the decorations and festivities planned for Bastille Day were very enjoyable, but quite frankly, the food lacked flavor. We also ordered a glass of wine that didn't come until much after the appetizer salad after asking for it multiple times.
my reservation was for a birthday. Before my arrival the lady call me to ask me about an indoors or outdoors table, i said outdoors and when we arrived they gave me an indoors table and after that we request for my outdoor table and they pushed me to buy a champagne to give that table. When they bring me the champagne it wasn't the one that I asked for and was warm ☹ i used to come to this place but now the service isn't the same.
Fathers Day. Was supposed to get a hand rolled cigar. Never came. Chateaubriand overdone. Too much salt on octopus. Mac and cheese amazing. Staff appeared to just be going through the motions. Management wondering about but never inquired about the meal. $300 with wine included for $15 (average at best) so not cheap. 20% service included and then a big line for tip on bill (not "additional tip") hoping people won't notice - I hate when they do that. Hostess and waitress nice. Nice ambiance and patio dining. Lots of potential but just not there.
