Villa Azur Ratings and Reviews
This is a gorgeous restaurant that will make a special occasion remembered! The ambiance is wonderful. The service was great. Some mixed feelings about the food: the fois gras was one of the best we've had; the main entrees were adequate and the desert was superb! The overall experience was very positive!
this usei tô be our favorito place in Miami, and we vê there a few times. Unfortunatelly last Tuesday, the service was bad, it took more than one your to come the first entrance, and another your to come The main Cuores. The food was not as Good as it uses to be.
Beautiful place, nice decor and music, service is rought, timely but no etiquette, some friendly wiaterss and other should get a little coaching and training to work in a place where you might pay 100 $ plus per person. Pasta was good, tune tartare and seared tuna dissapointing. Good wine list, no somelier.
I was apprehensive at first, due to several bad reviews but as soon as we arrived we were in for a treat. From the beginning the staff was very friendly and the ambiance was spectacular. We enjoyed the food, the portions were perfect and the taste was amazing. Overall a great experience.
My latest dining experience at Villa Azur exceeded all of my expectations, again! The staff is professional, courteous and attentive. My friend and I were shown to a lovely "power table" and enjoyed the outside garden almost as much as the delicious food and wine. The fois gras is the best in Miami, and the artichoke-parmesan salad is delicious. Many thanks to the wonderful team at Villa Azur. Merci beaucoup.
The food and service were excellent. The patio was just beautiful. The only negative was there were ash trays on the table and I asked if they allow
smoking in there and they said yes, only on the patio which was enclosed. I would have not been happy if the table next to us were smokers.
Other than that I'd definitely go back.
My husband and I were visiting Miami from Houston and looking for a fun yet romantic place for a late dinner. Villa Azur fit this perfectly. We sat outside under a tree filled with lights. We started with the Octopus, I had the tenderloin with asparagus and my husband had the pasta special which deserves it's own review. They prepared it table side in a parmesan wheel, which was lovely. All of the waitstaff were attentive and helpful as well. I will definitely return next time I'm in Miami.
From the beginning you are entering Villa Azur you will be touched by the great atmosphare of tis restaurant, it realy gives you that feeling to be somewhere in South France . Wine, food, servisiert, table - everything was perfekt. At Thursday night a place to go for the events of Villa Azur - good looking people in a great location with nice music !
On weekends or special nights, the restaurant becomes a party social scene, so it's loud, fun, and there's lots of eye candy walking around. On weeknights though, the restaurant is a quiet romantic restaurant where the staff is extremely attentive. There's an outdoor seating under a tent, which is great if it's not too humid out (there may have been A/C out there, since I didn't even realize we were outdoors).
The food itself is pretty darn good, though very classical and not too creative.
Food definitely did not live up to the ambience ... or the restaurant's hype. We had the Miami Spice menu, a big mistake. Small choice, smaller portions! We both enjoyed our appetizers; then we both had the steak as our entree - not only was it miniscule, but it was also over cooked. Recommend you give this one a miss during Miami Spice, there are a lot better out there.
This is a beautiful restaurant with great food, ambiance and service to match. Celebrated my wedding anniversary here. This was my second time dining here. Last time we ate in the outdoor courtyard area with lighted trees and the sky above. It was beautiful. This time we opted for indoors because the heat and humidity were too much. It is expensive but worth it. One negative is the $50 corkage fee that is only available on weeknights. They have wine on their list for $60. Next time I'll order that wine, have them pour my older vintage wine and take their bottle home with me.
Even when the place is big enough, two people table is too close to the next one, so it is not as romantic as is intended, it is a expensive place, 2 drinks, 2 appetizer and 2 entree for $270, (entrees were absolutely fantastic but the appetizer is nothing special). Public parking is right across the street, so valet is optional $20, waiter was nice (they are always trying to make you to order the most expensive plates) but he try to make us change our wine to the expensive ones, not comfortable at all
We went for ou daughter's birthday. She loved the place, specially the decor which felt elegant and sophisticated even though the ambiance was festive and and relax at the patio.
Service was really good, people were very attentive, starting with the valet parking, the hostess and specially the waiter.
Food was delicious. All four of us were able to find a dish we would crave. From pasta, to fish and afoot. Desserts were up to standard. We cannot comment on the wine list since we did not have any. Prices were consistent with the food quality.
We plan to come back for brunch since feels right for such occasion. We would definite recommend to a friend.
