Upscale, yet casual; blending a little bit of South Beach, NYC & LA, right in the heart of Bethel Park, at the Millennium Shops.
We had an early dinner reservation at 6p. The place was empty which was worrisome.
Sat outside very nice area.
Server was very attentive menu selections were great with VERY reasonable prices.
I had scallops and my husband had the fisherman pasta.
Very loud and had the look of a remodeled car garage. Dirty concrete flooring and no interior separation made it feel like a banquet hall. The place was not busy but the service was not good. The food was really bad. Stale chips in the nachos that were truly awful. Both our entrees tasted like a burger king cook prepared them. Really no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Save your money and your stomach and go somewhere else.
Mother’s Day dinner
Upon arrival, we waited at least 10 minutes before someone greeted us and got us a table. I find it slightly baffling that they don’t have a hostess covering the podium at all times. First impressions are everything. The food is always excellent though. The turkey club is to die for. Our server was average, not very attentive. Never got a water refill. I’ll go back for the food, but the service is sub-par.
Average menu, service food, atmosphere. There is nothing special calling me back except proximity to home and likelihood of getting a last minute table. Below average wine selection is certainly not a draw. It’s OK for a local bistro.
Took my best friend out to dinner for her 10th Anniversary because her husband was out of town. We sat out on the patio and relaxed with wonderful food and drink. Dylan was our fabulous server who made sure we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back.
My wife ordered the flank steak and I ordered the scallops. Both were overcooked. My wife ordered her steak medium and it was well done as were my scallops. The food has to improve if this place is going to survive.
Absolutely loved my experience at vilka bistro, it far exceeded my expectations. Great service too!
Exceptional food, service. Cement floors.
Everyone in our group was pleased with our lunch. The food was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and very knowledgeable. Great place for lunch. We were not hurried as in many places today. Will definitely come back there.
Wonderful variety of delicious food on the Sunday buffet! The unlimited mimosas took over the top!
Good brunch food. Omelette maker was great. A bit high priced though for the array of brunch food. Made reservations on open table and price listed on line was $26.50 but when we sat at our table the server told us the price was $32.50???? Noise level a bit high.
Great place to go for Happy Hour! Love the appetizers and wine!
I had higher expectations for this establishment. It wasn’t bad, but for the price, it wasn’t good. I ordered a wedge salad. It was served to me with a brown, wilted center. Not very appealing! The risotto had no flavor. My crabcakes appeared similar to ones I get from a box at Sams Club. My husbands steak was made to his liking, and I also thought it tasted excellent. The mashed potatoes were sticky. This is a kid friendly establishment which Was a plus for us. However, paying 6 dollars for a grilled cheese my son wouldn’t eat because it was burnt on one side and I cooked on the other was a bit annoying. All of our food was served warm, but as if it sat a while before served to us.
To spend as much as we did for this meal, I would anticipate I higher standard of food quality. We will check this place off the bucket list!
I typically like Vilka for happy hours (drink and food specials). This time I went for lunch on a Sunday. Food was good and service was excellent, but I still prefer the Happy Hour Menu.
Service was great. However, overpriced and poor quality food made the experience disappointing.
The servers and management could not have been more gracious -- however, nothing could compensate for food that was overpriced and arrived overcooked and tough after a long wait.
Portions small. For price they should include at least bread.
Great food and service. A little bit loud hit worthy it for sure. The only thing they should do is to serve bread or rolls. That is a definite Thing for
Most of us PITTSBURGH people !!!!!!
Average food with above average prices
Christie was a fabulous server. Our group will be back and we will bring more friends next time. I have already told relatives about our experience.
Went for Sunday brunch lots of different options at the buffet and you can never go wrong with bottomless mimosas!
I loved my meal. The Food was delicious and fairly priced but drinks were wayyyyy overpriced.
One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was absolutely perfect from the atmosphere to the drinks. Every detail that they put into their entrees and their service did not go unnoticed. I cannot wait to return and will recommend this restaurant to everyone.
It was average. Not bad but nothing to get excited about. Would not recommend
Generally okay. Food and service were good. I find the dining area a bit too well lit it had a cafeteria feel.
Fun birthday dinner!
Overall pleased the house salad dressing excellent
The ribeye excellent cajun style
spicy pasta good and spicy but sauce temp was lukewarm
otherwise overall very good and will go back
Great food and Awesome service. Would definitely recommend and definitely a repeat customer. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable in the menu and drink recommendations.
The food was average and lacked interesting flavors. I also thought it was very expensive for the quality of the food. Our group will not return, sadly.
Service was good. Pecan salad great.salmon was good but couscous was gummy. My husbands "New York Strip" was thin chewy and seemed to be more a "Flat Iron Steak". His Brussels sprouts were ice cold and his mash potatoes only lukewarm.
Great food ! Great service - will definitely come back!
What a surprise! We drive past this restaurant but never see any cars so we didn’t try it. Our friends love it and invited us to meet them. It was very, very good. Loved the quiet atmosphere and good menu selections. Food was great. Will definitely go back!!!
Went for the very first time and plan on returning! I usually do not write reviews but finally something in the South Hills worth going back too! We started off with tuna and mussels in pesto sauce for an appetizer, it was delicious. There were 4 of us and everyone loved their meal.
For dessert we had a double brownie dish, peanut butter pie and crepe brûlée ....all delicious!!!
Dylan is the backbone of this restaurant! We have had him as our server several times and each time he has made our dinner so special! The food is consistently delicious and the price is right on all menu items.
We went for Valentine’s Day. It was our first time here. Beautiful, big restaurant. Plenty of room between tables. Nice wine, comfortably priced. We had salmon and spicy pasta. Both tasty. Service was attentive and friendly.
My family went there for Valentine’s Day and it was our first visit. The staff was excellent; however, the food was just okay. As expensive as it was, we wish the food tasted better. Though, my 18 month old really enjoyed the buttered noodles.
Was very impressed. Very good service and great food. Nice variety on the menu and top-rate cocktails. Will be back... soon.
I've passed this restaurant many times but this was my first visit. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. She knew the menu well. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The rest of the staff was also friendly. We will definitely go back!
Third time there, and the experience was just as enjoyable as the first time. Staff is friendly and the food was very enjoyable. Our friends said that they had wanted to try it out and will be back.
