Vigneto Cafe is a quiet, relaxing and friendly Italian restaurant that I dine at often with my wife and friends. The staff is always friendly, and inviting. The food has always been good, and it has a nice cozy ambiance. They'll occasionally have DJ music (oldies), but it's never too loud and just adds to the evening.1 person found this helpful

9 of us celebrated Christmas at Vignetos on Friday. The food was outrageously delicious. I didn't even know I was eating gluten free. Great portions. The food came out rather quickly for 9 of us. They always made sure our glasses were full. The menu was a bit costly but I thought it was worth it. Thank you for a great experience. We will definitely go back.Is this helpful?

Italian food that was nothing to rave about. My lady friend and I (that is 2 ladies) shared an entree that was served on one dinner plate. We had to ask for 2 plates in order that we might split our portions. They brought us 2 tiny (dessert plate size) on which to split salmon and pasta (angel hair). When I asked if it could have been split in the kitchen and we might have dinner size plates, it seemed to be a weird request. The pasta was overcooked. We also had an appetizer of clams & mussels in a white wine sauce which we both felt was not great. The server was polite when we spoke of our concerns but nothing was addressed. All in all - not great! The ambiance was that of a pub.Is this helpful?

Took a gamble as on line reviews were mixed. Let’s start with the pros. If you’re looking for great food at a very reasonable price, this is a great choice to dine. It tasted just like Grandma was in the kitchen doing the cooking. Loved the small ambiance of a little Italian restaurant. Our table was ready when we arrived and the food was delicious, plentiful and very affordable. I loved the fact that there were four different eggplant entrees. Now the cons. The service was incredibly slow. Having been our first time dining here, we were unsure if they were short staffed, had a new waiter or chef, or if this was the norm. Our salads came out before our appetizers, then it was a long wait for our meals. In addition, we felt like we were imposing by asking for additional beverages. Once we were done with our meals, our dishes were removed and we weren’t asked if we would like anything else....only if we wanted to go containers. No coffee, desserts...do they have those? Don’t know. It then took another longer than usual period of time to get the check taken care of and when we were all set and done, our waiter came to us and apologized that he wasn’t able to take care of us. With that, we assumed something was off and will definitely give them another try since the food was worth it.Is this helpful?

Vigneto was a special find. We had been in Hyde Park visiting the FDR Museum and wanted to find a nice, reasonable restaurant nearby that offered a wide variety of options. We searched Open Table and found this little gem in Highland, NY. Lovely ambiance, attentive wait staff, and the food was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others.2 people found this helpful
