Service was excellent! We had dinner reservations, but still ended up in the tent. The tent was OK, but the floor was not. Our chairs and table shook every time a person walked next to our table, which was quite a lot of times, got old real fast.
Food was very good.
I recommend this place, but you are much better off if you specify that you want to be served INSIDE the restaurant.
Delicious! Extensive wine menu! Great service! Next time we will make our reservation in time for the sunset!
Great food. Great service. Fairly pricey but worth it.
Expansive wine list. Enjoyed the specials (sea bass and risotto). Service was attentive but not overbearing
Selections were well presented. Two in our party had pasta in our meal and both found the noodles to be dry and a bit hard. The Alfredo sauce was mild to the point of being bland. One person ordered the meat combo and requested the steak be medium with just a little pink, the steak arrived closer to medium rare with the meat almost completely pink. Seasoning was at a bare minimum. Those in our party ordering seafood were happy with their meals.
1. We were disappointed that there was no Brunch available on Sunday.
2. The Christmas music was much too loud bordering on obnoxious.
3. The street noise - cars, motorcycles and buses.
4. The server and the valet, Ryan were outstanding.
Loved it, great service, fresh seafood.
This was our first visit since we moved to the Carlsbad area and we couldn't wait after seeing their extraordinary menu and location. One of the best run and well managed restaurants I have visited and we had an amazing experience. Service from Gil was impeccable, wine was served at the perfect temperature and cuisine simply first class! The sea bass is incredible and the steak risotto special was even better than expected. Our compliments to the Chef, Gil and the manager who took great care of us with a perfect table. We will be back! Thank you for a perfect dining experience.
Make sure you valet otherwise you'll never find parking 😉. Priced right, ambience beautiful, food outstanding. Almost gave four stars instead of five due to the wine glass had lipstick in it and in times of Covid, you can never be too safe. However, waiter was excellent and immediately fixed issue and free creme brûlée for problem. View is incredible and all staff friendly.
Food was delicious!!!
Extremely professional and courteous staff
Our family was here in vacation and I made a res here for Thanksgiving dinner. They were very efficient at seating (they were quite busy w lots of people arriving near the same time) and all staff was very pleasant! The food was fantastic…so great, that our 9 year old wants to know if we can fly in their pasta or special order it (we live in Ohio) LOL. The only snag we ran into was our server. I believe his name was Gilly…super nice guy. But you could tell he was nearing the end of his shift…his service was strong when we first sat down…but then service was very slow. My husband and I would have ordered more wine had he been more attentive…but it was like he’d disappear. I know he had a large table as well, but he could have been a bit more attentive. We waited for quite some time, then finally asked for our boxes (for a second time), the check and dessert all at once. We were fearful we wouldn’t see him again for 15/20 mins. Other than that, food, staff overall, ambiance, and location, were all great!
I was expecting stellar service from our main server based on reviews but she (Camilla) was mediocre. Service from everyone else was excellent! Food was very good (a notch below great).
Did Thanksgiving with my girlfriend and my mom. The restaurant was packed for the Holiday and yet the staff members were excellent and attentive. The food was outstanding as you would expect and the sunset facing tables were given an amazing light show by the sunset. Just a wonderful experience.
Always enjoyable with outstanding service.
It is our Thanksgiving Day tradition, and the view is perfect. The new seating outside is pleasant outdoor dining, with the same service and amenities.
Great view and our server Dani was phenomenal. A great place to spend any holiday or special moment.
Everything was amazing! The location, the ambiance and the service! The staff was very friendly and attentive. They took great care of us. The only knock I’d have to say wasn’t even the restaurant’s fault. There were loud motorcycles that kept going back and forth past the restaurant. But other than that we really enjoyed our dining experience. We will definitely be back.
Food was well prepared , extremely large portions and very flavorful, beautiful presentations and Alexis our server was personable and charming. Even the valet was warm and friendly. Great experience will definitely be back.
Food and customer service was amazing
From the time we walked in we were treated like vip’s. Our waiter was so very friendly and helped us with all the questions we had about the menu. We had never been here before so a lot of questions were asked, he always had a smile on his face and was funny as well.
My wife and I are in Cali for the thanksgiving holiday to be with my son and his fiancé. None of us had ever tried the restaurant in the past so it was an adventure for us all.
I took my mom out for Thanksgiving dinner.
Everything was wonderful from the service to the portion size.
Our Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly.
We had an amazing experience and will definitely go back.
Initially seated inches from the staff entrance to the kitchen, between a sliding door. Notnsure why there is even a table there. Service was slow, drinks were slower. Kudos to the support staff, those guys responded to each request while out server was absent. Probably just where we were seated ... have had ma y better experiences.
We love Vigilucci’s. Wonderful service, food and ambiance.
Make sure you to try their Cioppino. It was so good. My son loves the lasagna. I’m glad they are pet friendly because we don’t want to leave our dog in the car.
Excellent service and excellent food! Would definitely recommend for any occasion.
Great with one lady yelling at table next to us
Chilean sea bass was delicious. We had a nice business meeting, service was good, just wish they refilled my water more often at the end of the meal when the rest of the table had coffee’s. Slightly noisy, but that’s because we were on patio, but with that view no one really cares about the noise. Recommend!
Tony was amazing! The food, atmosphere and experience was 10/10. Very high quality food and service. Can't wait to go back next time we visit.
Food was great. Servers were very attentive which made it a more enjoyable experience.
We have a party of 10 n they can accommodate 11 at the end. Excellent for lovers.
We had the chilled seafood tower. It was delicious. It’s enough for a main course for 2-3 people. Nice wine selection. Pleasant service. Easy to book online. Outdoor seating was comfortable for the evening. It was not tourist season so there was little traffic and road noise. (Mid November).
Food is definitely delicious but the price is way too high….Rib-eye is over $100, that’s just way too much…
Always the best- in all aspects!
Tony was excellent in never rushing us, answering questions, and helping us decide which delicious items to choose. Hard to make a decision with so many choices! Fresh oysters were a nice light start. We shared a salad that had a tasty dressing. Cioppino with pasta should have been for two people...we didn't realize the portion was so huge. Very generous amounts of shrimp, scallops, fish, calamari, and more and very very delicious! The special of sea bass was prepared with a nice crust. Can not remember what is was served with but it was delicious. Dinner with tip was well over $200...very special meal for a special evening.
Nothing special as far as food... Overpriced for not properly cooked meat.
Do not waste your money
We enjoyed delicious scallops and sea bass. Also saw the sunset from our outside patio table.
Perfect venue for our anniversary dinner. Had early reservations so we could watch the sunset. Excellent service, great food and drink!
Excellent food and experience. Great wine list. Great menu. Not inexpensive but totally worth it. Make a reservation so you get a seat. Will certainly be back.
Absolutely delicious food! We were close to some loud groups but still enjoyed our dinner
We reserved a table for 4 right after sunset on their outdoor patio. The weather was fantastic, and we had a nice view of the ocean.
The service was good. The waiter recited the specials, and took the time to help us decide between various dishes. I chose the "Capesante ai Pomodorini Secchi" ($49) instead of the Chilean Bass Special after the waiter confided in me that the scallop dish was one of his favorites, although I felt he wanted me to chose the more expensive special. In any case, the pan-seared diver scallops were served on top of risotto cakes resting on a chopped vegetable medley of sweet corn, pancetta, red onion, asparagus and bell peppers. The sun-dried tomatoes cream sauce was slightly spicy. I loved this dish, and it was substantial in size. Go easy on the bread beforehand.
We also ordered "Tonno al Sesamo" ($54) which was a sesame-crusted, sashimi-grade ahi tuna that was seared rare with a garlic-chili jumbo prawn served over black organic rice in a miso broth. It was good, but not quite to the same level as the scallops dish,
It was my friend's birthday and they gifted our table with a Creme Brule dessert with a candle on it, for a nice touch. It was delicious.
The only issue I had was that they no longer honored the San Diego Restaurant's gift card. When we purchased the card, Vigilucci's was included, but we were told that the card stopped being honored 2 years ago. This restaurant is a bit expensive and we chose it because of our card. In any case, we did have a good time, with good food.
