Viggiano's on Sunset
Our menu is designed to give you choices. There are 2 entree sizes: Piccolo, is an individual portion and Grande, which serves 2 and is served family style. The entrees are also a la carte, giving you the choice of complementing your meal with a side of pasta or vegetables. The salads, appetizers and desserts are all large enough for sharing.
Dinner is served in our beautiful dining room and outdoor patio. If you just want to stay in, our entire menu is available for takeout.
So, please consider joining us for our inaugural season, and we here at Viggiano's on Sunset, will be sure that your experience will be one that you wish would never end!!
Looking forward to meeting you!
After being greeted by a hostess with a wad of bubble gum in her mouth , we had a very professional server and an enjoyable evening. A second visit to this restaurant and the food unfortunately is just fair. When an Italian restaurant can’t produce quality bruschetta and garlic bread, you know there is a problem. Entrees were acceptable but nothing special. Overall atmosphere is very nice, friendly staff, a good story, about the restaurant/family but the food doesn’t match the other higher standards.
Great place we will definitely be back hope you’re open for New Year’s Eve
Loved Viggianos great atmosphere and delicious food.
I would recommend if looking for basic Italian food. We ordered the larger portions & shared. The lasagne was good. Our veal & shrimp dish was ok. Nothing spectacular with the $19 antipasto we had for appetizer & the stuffed mushrooms were very small.
Excellent new restaurant. The food was fabulous as was the service. Plus the fact that it’s BYOB makes it all the better.
Food was very good and the service as well. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for good Italian food.
Very friendly and attentive service. Good value. Food was all perfectly prepared. Entrees were eggplant Parmesan and veal Parmesan. Definitely will make a return visit.
We were eager to try this new restaurant. We love Cape May and are here quite frequently. Our dinner experience at Viggiano's on Sunset was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had our one-year old granddaughter with us and they made us all feel comfortable and welcome. The food was very good. The Gnocchi was superb. Our waitress was attentive. Our entire experience was extremely satisfying .
The owners are so nice. The gentleman who sat us described his whole family to us and we learned that they are related to the Viggiano’s In Conshohocken. Service was very attentive. Food was nicely prepared. My sister was quite pleased with her veal Parmaga and I enjoyed my fettuccini with shrimp and Rosa sauce. Parking is available on site which is a definite plus in Cape May. I would go again.
LOVED Viggiano’s on Sunset...
Had a wonderful dinner with friends and family, everyone was very impressed with whole experience.
We will definitely be back when in the area.
Good Luck !!
The owners were very nice and friendly.
Service was good but the food missed. Caesar salad dressing was off...had no anchovy flavor. Eggplant parm was good but the sauce on my side of spaghetti had no flavor. The veal with shrimp also needed flavoring.
I had heard good reviews so maybe it was an off night. I consider myself a good cook. Difficult to believe that good Italian food in Cape May is hard to find.
We have a home in Cape May and dine out frequently; this was my first time at Viggiano’s; my friend and had a great meal and it was very reasonable; we love byob restaurants!
My husband and I and our 2 daughters coming tonight
Still new (in this location) and finding its way a bit in consistency (several of us had ordered the same things a month ago that were better then), but overall worth trying and returning. Rum cake dessert is excellent.
First time there. The food was great, the employees friendly and helpful.
My friends had told us about Viggiano's on Sunset so we decided to give it a try. It was wonderful! I loved that you can make reservations on Open Table and that it is a BYOB. The menu was large so it took us time to choose but we decided on the veal and chicken parmesan with spaghetti and meatball as another entree so that we could try their famous meatballs. We had the fresh baked cannoli for dessert. Everything was amazing especially their gravy it tasted like my mom's. We will be going back to Viggiano's.
Food was very good! Service was decent but we sat outside and the spot lights were awful. BYOB which is great and there’s a liquor store across the street
Food was good and place was well done. The sauces on the pasta were not too heavy or too sweet. Tables not too close together.
The only downside was the limited amount and variety of seafood. This is a seaside resort and seafood is usually the base around whatever else revolves.
The sound system for the background music was poor. The vaulted ceilings don’t allow for the speaker placements to have large separations. Smaller, multiple speakers placed at 6’-8’ heights would work best. Incorporate more color into the dining area. It’s summer, it’s the beach, it’s alive and fun, there’s nothing simpler than flowers.
Great food, great hostess. We ate outside which was very nice. It seemed a little loud inside so we were happy with our choice. Our server was pretty new which he did let is know. He did a very good job . Definitely will be back and tell anyone heading down to Cape May to stop in
Terrific experience. Second time at Viggiano’s during our vacation. Outstanding meal both times! Warm, welcoming staff and delicious food!
What a great addition to the Cape May dining scene! Viggiano's is now my favorite Italian restaurants
The Eggplant Parm is out of this world!
In a week we have eaten at Viggiano's twice and gotten take out once. I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Run by a wonderful committed Italian- American family. Welcoming and upbeat. The food needs work. Loved there approach of offering small or large portions, your choice. Prices were very reasonable. The sauces were high quality but need more seasoning. The Broccoli Rabe and escarole were disappointing. They should be steam fried with olive oil and garlic, not boiled. The featured desert cake was fabulous. The Resturant is newly opened and working things out. Would give them a second try.
Great addition to Cape May....wonderful family feel and the staff is so friendly with great food...a must while in Cape May!!!
Very friendly owners & staff! Enjoyed hearing about the family which also gave feeling of belonging
Excellent, fresh authentic Italian, in a casual, beautiful setting. Highly recommend the Caesar Salad, pasta with prosciutto, sundried tomatoes, and spinach in garlic and oil.
Good food, good service.
The food and service were very good, however it is very loud inside. Next time, we might request an outside table.
Our reservation was accommodated very quickly. Our food was excellent.
Great food, great staff, and warm environment. I give Viggiano's my enthusiastic recommendation.
Excellent dinner! Delicious food, large menu with family-style options, terrific service. Very comfortable for large family gathering, pretty restaurant, great vibe.
ceasar salad was poor, use real parmesan cheese not Kraft. Chicken piccata was tough.
Great food. Wonderful Service. Friendly Staff. We go every weekend we are in West Cape May and we always have a wonderful experience. Michael, Dianne and the team are always very friendly and accommodating! See you next weekend Viggiano’s...
Having read a review that this was a must visit restaurant, we decided to make a reservation. We have been coming to Cape May for30 years and in addition to the lovely town and great beach, have always enjoyed the vibrant and tasty restaurant scene. We hoped this place could be added to that list; it was a huge disappointment.
While the place itself was very nice, the food was a different story, I explained to the waiter that I had an allergy to wine and to let me know what sauces I should avoid. After a brief discussion with his chef, he informed me that ALL the sauces had wine. We finally agreed upon a garlic butter that could be used instead. My husband and I both ordered a Cesar salad that was drowning in a lemony (not Cesar) dressing and the veal and shrimp sauté. My husband had his prepared as the menu listed while mine was done as requested due to my allergies, my husbands veal was riddled with veins and his sauce was a watery tomato based one. No seasoning whatsoever. My dish was presented basically swimming in some flavorless oil. Of my 3 medallions of veal, only 1 had veins. We both ordered a side of pasta which was equally flavorless.
We eat out regularly and from the best restaurants to the chain ones, I have never had a situation where my allergy couldn’t be accommodated. I would have expected in a restaurant that promoted itself as being family run, someone could have taken a few minutes to come and discuss what they could make as a sauce substitute. In today’s day and age, there are many patrons with allergies that are more than happy to spend their money enjoying a quality restaurant meal.
A total disaster, a huge disappointment after the reviews I read. There are to many fine restaurants in cape May for me ever to return
It was a wonderful night. The hosts were very friendly. It’s not crowded with lots of seating. We were impressed with menu especially that we were able to order small or large dishes.
We will return. Thank you
The food was delicious, try the Lasagna, really incredible! The stuffed Mozzarella appetizer was soooo good and the Rum Cake is definitely worth saving room for!
We were seated promptly and the service was great. We will definitely make the trip again.
Food, service and value were a 10+. Our new go to Italian restaurant in the jersey shore.
We will return again! Can’t wait to try something new. We are glad you will be open year around. Very friendly place. Thank you.
. Poor excuse for Italian food. Hostess was missing upon arrival. She was too busy bussing tables. Not enough staff especially for 4th of July week. Took an hour to receive entree and table in my line of vision took 2 hours to be bussed. Food was mediocre at best. Broccoli rabe was flavorless, salmon was dry and service was slow. I’d be very surprised if this restaurant is here next season.
Overall food was just ok. Service was ok. Would try again just to see if it was an off night.
