We reserved for 8pm and were seated at 815, waited in the bar. We were seated in a quiet corner next to the window, nice romantic evening. Tables are bit close but was worth it. Wow filet mignon was fantastic melt in your mouth, loaded potatoe wasnt 'loaded' told the waitor and he didnt charge us. Really enjoyed our meal. 5*
Outstanding service, great atmosphere, & great food. Definitely will go back again
Upscale restaurant with many beef and lobster choices.
Super service et repas excellent!!
AMAZING! Location couldn't be more perfect and the staff were wonderful! the service was excellent and we'd highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone who wants the Old Montreal dining experience
The restaurant is very inviting and has a great atmosphere . The service was great and friendly . The server realy trued hard to push us to order more and more food and would not take no for an answer .the food was really below average and the presentation was sloppy and very unappealing also food was cold. We had the black cod a steak and the chicken , I will not go back despite the very pleasant atmosphere
very friendly and knowledgeable servers, great food for good value
The overall expetience wss very poor with the ecception on the waiyet/waitress they were very nice. buffet was cheap looking. no cold shrimp, no bagels for 15 minutes and the quality of the smoked salmon was poor. the deserts looked like sonething at a chinese buffet. many items wete not replenished in a time manner. Your brunch is worth $19.99 not $35.00.
Easter Sunday brunch, 7 people, 2 children, all with different tastes but all were happy with their meal thanks to a really wide choice of dishes. Great friendly service, fully bilingual waitress. That restaurant is huge, spread out over several floors.
Fantastic Easter brunch! We were very impressed with quality and variety. The servers were excellent, and the restaurant itself is just beautiful.
Celebrated a birthday & a weekend vacation in Montreal and so glad that we chose to eat here. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was terrific and well presented. Our table upstairs overlooking the street was fantastic.
This restaurant has plenty of ambiance, the wait staff was friendly and efficient, and the steaks my husband and I had here were pretty much perfect. Will definitely visit again the next time we're in Montreal.
We went for brunch my girlfriend and i, the food was very good, we didn't have the place to taste everything. It's definitely the type of place you want to bring your whole family/ friend/ work team for a get together and have a nice brunch. Matter fact, i came back the next week end with my family for easter. The vibe is very corporate/ touristic.
I was eager to try out their special Sunday Brunch menu, at this well-known Old Montreal restaurant. There is a reserved area on the second floor for brunch. It has all the usual Montreal brunch options; omelette station, fresh fruit, cheeses, waffles, Montreal bagel. There is also a selection of freshly carved steakhouse-appropriate meat, and a gourmet dessert station. It is a carnivore's delight, with plenty of vegetarian options as well. The wait staff and chefs are very attentive, and greeted us with smiles. I will happily recommend the Vieux Port Steakhouse for Sunday brunch.
Overall good experience - the steak dishes are great, too much rice served with the fish dishes.
Amazing steak that was cooked to absolute perfection!
Absolutely amazing time. Food was excellent. Could not have asked for much more. Excellent Restaurant!!!! I would encourage anyone to try this place.
Really good food and employees were very knowledgeable on gluten free and had lots of options. Would recommend this place. Only wish they had more options for dessert.
Great for families with kids.
The food is fantastic and the service is awesome!
Everything was fantastic from the moment we were greated by David through the ordering process right to the finish. Serviced was attentive but not over the top it was perfectly timed. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Old Montreal.
We will be back for sure.
The food was delicious and our server Monosh was wonderful and attentive. Great place for Sunday Brunch
We go there whenever we're in Montreal. The bison's particularly good!
We went to Vieux-Port Steakhouse for my boyfriend's birthday. We had the filet mignon and it was absolutely fantastic. The cooking point was perfect, and all the side dishes had a unique taste. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Great place.
Great location and scenery and ambience. The food was mediocre at best. Staff was mediocre at best. I had specifically mentioned to the maitre'd that it was my daughter's first trip to Mtl snd a special night. He didn't think this was important enough to tell our waiter. Would I go back? Yes but perhaps only for a glass of wine and app with my wife.
We went for 12:30, had a little confusion about upstairs seating being for brunch only and downstairs seating for lunch only. Good salmon tartare and braised pork shank, good service!
Staff was very friendly, food was a little over priced but the atmosphere was great.
Our dinner was excellent but we felt we were rushed through. Yes it was a busy night but we ordered and then it was within 10 minutes we were served appetizers. Not much time to socialize with our dinner companions. Dinner followed shortly there after and then the bill. In and out in just under an hour and half.
We two other visits to your restaurant with a leisurely dinner. We will be back when in Montreal but will stress not too rush us through
Amazing service, great food, special atmosphere but a bit expensive. Worth every dollar!
It was an amazing experience for valentine’s day.
Food in general was good but wrong steak was served to my wife, so we had to wait another 15 mins for a new one. When it finally came out, it was undercooked. Staff was ok and offered free soup and desserts to compensate, but these mistakes shouldn’t happen in the first place. It could have ruined the evening but we still had fun and we will return
It was my wife’s birthday and after dinner, the waiter came out with a cheesecake and a candle for her. He even sang Happy Birthday. It was a nice flow from service to the food to paying our bill.
We had a very enjoyable dinner with good wine, good food and great service from our waiter. The ambiance is cozy, the noise levels are low, and the location in Old Montreal is central. The wine is overpriced. The menu is varied and moderately priced. I had the French Onion Soup as an appetizer. It came with plenty of cheese and the base was flavourful and not too salty, which is often the case for this soup. I had the VP burger for the main course. The string fries are a favourite of mine and they are cooked to perfection. The burger was a bit dry. If you want an exceptional burger, try Sambucas on Church in downtown Toronto. I have not eaten a better burger outside of that restaurant. My friends enjoyed their meals, other than one who found the salmon tartare too spicy. And apparently another's Caesar salad was heavy on the anchovies, which some people may actually enjoy. The desert menu was sparse on food and overloaded with liquor. The business model is more like a downtown Toronto model where revenue is driven by alcohol sales. Perhaps the property taxes are high. If this was a bring your own wine restaurant I'd come back often. The bottle of Sterling Cabernet Sauvignon we purchased for $42 is $15.50 at the SAQ and one of our guests paid $18 for a glass of rosé.
Food was great, especially the rosbif, which was tender. Good variety in terms of food. Somewhat expensive, but it is an upscale all you can eat. Take note that we went during happening gourmand, so it was 5$ cheaper than usual.
