We went to lunch for a birthday and loved it! Great cocktails, delicious guacamole and tacos. Definitely recommend the pork tacos.
I love this place: the food is great and the ambiance is fun. But, very noisy, loud music and conversation is difficult
Loud but lively and fun. Great service. Very helpful in directing us to exactly what we wanted. The guacamole was the bomb! And the tacos were fantastic! So much flavor all around. And so fresh!
Delicious brunch. From the friendly greeting from Daniela at the door (I'd steal her for my restaurant if I still had one) to the very good food, good bloody Marys and very good service we were quite happy that we chose Vida Verde. Recommended.
We went there last night a party of 8.
And 3 of our friends had their birthdays this month.
So I had asked our hostess Natalie if she could do something to make it special and she was very helpful our server Jennifer was very sweet and helpful as well . They sent three complimentary desserts and one round of complimentary shots. Which was really nice.
The food was good, ambience was really trendy , music was nice. We had a fun evening overall, highly recommend this place .
Thanks Vida Verde.
Amazing food and service.
I came to Vida Verde for the first time last Friday and I absolutely loved the decor and ambiance. The Sangria was delicious and not watered down like most places. The guacamole was fresh and made right at our table. While our waitress was super sweet, she did not check in much throughout dinner to see if we wanted anything. The place was a little loud and it was hard to hear my friend speak, but overall I really enjoyed this place.
Extremely loud both music and diners, combination was over the top and could not have a conversation with my companion nor enjoy the meal.
Awesome skinny margaritas and love the guac
The food , bar and service always exceptional. Friendly atmosphere
Servers were exceptionally nice and fun. Food was good--guacamole was excellent. Pork belly tacos were good, except the pork was a tad bit dry and the yolk got pretty messy. Came here for Saturday brunch, but might come back on a Thursday or Friday to have drinks with friends!
A bit pricey....but Good food. Good service! Good music too! Reminds me of other Latino places I really enjoy like Havana Social, Sofrito's, Jimmy's.... I'll definitely will be returning.
I've been twice now and can't wait to go back again. The food is quite simply incredible. You can walk in to Vida Verde on any given day and eat food that reminds you how creative culinary art can be. The venue is also full of incredible murals. The staff is lovely.
Went on a Friday night and it was like being in a club. Really bad, really loud music. My friend and I had to scream at each other to be heard. Crowd seemed a little B & T and touristy. Food is okay. They charge you a fortune for the smallest amount of guacamole that they make at the table. The guy barely mashed the avocado. This gimmick is so old... I'd rather they do it in the kitchen and mash it up properly. Not the place for an older more sophisticated crowd. If you want good Mexican go to Toaloache.
Food was good, but service was horrible. It took us over 15 minutes to get our drink. The bartender was overwhelmed. They didn’t offer to chomp anything, which was disappointing.
Waitstaff very knowledgable and attentive. Great recommendations. Fabulous Mexican fusion!
Great place with great condensed options for you to eat before a show!
My friend and I were looking for a bite and found this place on Yelp. Went for a late lunch and ate small plates and had cocktails. The Burro Caliente was amazing! Staff was super nice and the food was good. I would definitely recommend this place.
It was an overall mind blowing experience.
Great staff . Great food and drinks
The staff was very attentive and polite. The food was very good and service wonderful. We met family there for dinner and will definitely go back when we return to NY. We have already recommended this restaurant to friends.
Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced. I would certainly go back!
Food was good but service was excruciatingly slow considering there were less than 10 parties in the restaurant. Also, y'all should really invest in knives other than butter knives.
Dining at Vida Verde was amazing. We went for my friend’s birthday and they were really nice to the group. The food was delicious. We had a blast. I recommend it.
Even though we were able to book a table through open table, Vida Verde was closed for a private event the night of our reservation. So my friend and I showed up, realized the reservation was bogus, and wandered around until we found a new place to eat. Not the best first impression — if your available dates aren’t current, don’t allow people to make reservations.
Four of us came to Vida Verde after a show. The decor was funky and fun, the food was great (we had the nachos), and we had good service. They did forget the chicken on one of the nacho platters which took quite a while to get (nachos sat on the table while we waited for the chicken). The music was a bit loud, but we were still able to hold a conservation.
Food was okay but not as good as La Slowteria, the chef’s former restaurant in Brooklyn. Chips were stale and shrimp taco filling was sparse. Nice decor but music was super loud. Disappointed to say the least. Not worth the trip.
All the food is brought to the table family style for sharing, presentation is unique in a good way and the wine list devine. Love the warmth of the atmosphere at this restaurant the wait staff is first class.
Very good food and good service, at a reasonable price, but music is too loud, event at lunch time.
Not suitable for a business lunch.
A la carte portions are small, you need to order several dishes.
Chosen for a pre-theater meal for it’s proximity and prior reviews praising the food, we were not disappointed. In fact, each dish was delicious and made with care. The table-made guacamole was luscious, and was served inventively with several salsas, and chips with different textures. Entrees offered original combinations as well and ample choices.
The staff was bright, responsive, and warm. Prices reasonable. One negative to the terrific eating opportunity is that the bar and dining areas are equal in size and adjacent, and the music is REALLY loud. Staff graciously turned it down—so, it will be great if the two parts of Vida Verde can forge a harmonious space.
The food good. Very small portions. Will definitely leave hungry !
The music was very loud and the food a bit disappointing. Still, it's a lively place to have drinks and nachos.
We were in a hurry as we had a Broadway show right after and the waitress took care of us very efficiently, recommending great choices, being available as soon as we needed her, food was quickly there and... delicious!!! I'll definitely come again.
Large group from office.
Do not go there for a quiet conversation or a gourmet meal! Go there for good cocktails , a fun atmosphere , colorful decor, good bites
Overall the place was great, the food the ambiance were perfect,i would definitely recommend this place to friends
Great experience, very creative and well prepared dishes, will be back
Grest fresh Mexican food with a modern twist
Nice bar with cool drinks. Limited menu and very "different" than expected. Upscale, but pretentious. Way over priced food in general. The best thing we had were the Yucca Fries with roasted green beans. The broccoli tamales were not good. The mushroom quesadillas were very tiny and strange and definitely overpriced. Nice waiter.
Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow. They kept apologizing but it didn't encourage us to want to order another round. It was also recommended for groups - I would not suggest going with a group if you are planning on holding any conversation. It is very loud. Cocktails were fantastic.
