Vida - Fontainebleau Miami Beach Ratings and Reviews
Vida-Fontainebleau Miami Beach was amazing! Juan was our server and he made the experience top quality and the best ever! He was very detailed and precise! Customer service levels were above and beyond! Food was delicious, creative, fresh, and variety was of plenty! I would highly recommend Vida to everyone visiting Miami and staying at the Fontainebleau.
I came to vida for Sunday brunch. They charge $59 per person and an additional $25 for bottomless mimosas. It is served buffet style. Overall, it is definitely not worth anywhere near $59 per person. Although there is shrimp cocktail and sushi available (which I would assume is why they are charging so much) the selection of food was sub par and lacking in flavor. I guess for the guests of the hotel it gets the job done but I would definitely not return regardless of whether or not I was staying there.
I come here whenever I'm in Miami. Been here at least 3 times, specifically for the half jerk chicken! It's absolutely delicious! This time we split the lobster artichoke dip, which was amazing! I've never had a bad meal & the service is top notch. Great wines & bread basket is also terrific. You can't go wrong. Maybe a little pricey, but worth every penny.
I was visiting from out of town and wanted to bring my mother to special place (Fontainbleau) that she had been to 60 years earlier. I looked on the website for a restaurant there that had a variety of foods and we shoes Vida because of the lamb. The hotel was nice, parking was fine and the restaurant was clean, but those were the highlights of the evening. The service was below average, the food was OK and the price was high. I was especially ticked when the "20% service charge" was added to the bill for a party of three and then there was space for "extra gratuity". There are so many good restaurants in Miami, but this isn't one of them.
I loved vida! It was my boyfriends 30th birthday, and it was a pleasant surprise when they brought him out a cheesecake slice with strawberries for his big day! Ryan, the manager, was also very friendly and accommodating! We had a slight problem with one of our orders, but Ryan handled it right away! Would recommend to others for a nice group dinner! Especially if you're trying to beat the line at club Liv! :)
We had a 2-day escape mini-vacation to Miami. Thoroughly enjoyed our delicious meal at Vida. The food was creatively prepared, beautifully presented and served, and delicious. If we had any disappointments it was in the wine list for available reds by the glass--way too limited! Do recommend this restaurant.
Delicious food, great service and friendly staff! Dinner at Vida was our choice for special dinners during 2 trips to Miami this year--our 38th wedding anniversary, and three months later for my husband's 61st birthday. I'm sure that we will return during our next visit to the area!
I feel $450.00 is a little too much for a lunch. There was 8 of us, but it was not our cup of tea price wise. The food was good, the service was excellent, but i don't feel it was worth what it cost. We did not order drinks. Only two coffees and two ice teas.
Food and staff were fine. But the man loudly complaining about the shape his chicken was cut was a distraction... Too bad it didn't distract from the "boisterous" group of adults that had been over served.
Add in the two miniature yorkies that the owner claimed were Service Dogs and where seated at the table (when they weren't on the floor licking themselves)...
There was one other quiet couple besides ourselves. It was weird to be creeped out and disapointed in an almost empty restaurant at 7:30 pm.
I found this place 2 years ago while visiting Miami. I had the rotisserie jerk chicken. It was so delicious, that I make sure to stop in whenever Im in town. The service is always top- notch & the wine list & cocktail menu also terrific. But that chicken dish is amazing! Even the vegetables are delicious. As long as it's there, I'll keep going back!
They took to even get a server to our table to greet us. They then took 20 minutes to get our drinks. We were there for my 21st and we were on doing brunch with but the service was so HORRIBLE we only got one and left. The food was okay but a lot of the choices had weird seasoning on it.
This brunch was very overpriced for mediocre food. The dessert bar had some interesting items, but the main dishes prepared were sub-par. The lamb chops were overcooked and the only choice meat offered was brisket. It was a $120 brunch for two that could have easily been purchased for $60 somewhere else.
Vida was a great restaurant for our family of five. It was casual and had such a variety of entrees for our family. The beef tenderloin for dinner was outstanding. The cheese pizza for my son also great. We really tried a lot of the menu as it's the only restaurant we visited at fountainbleu Hotel for three days. Mahi was very good. Caesar salad excellent. My kids loved the matzoh ball soup as a starter. Servers all great and very friendly.
Raul was an amazing server. Knew the food totally. Atmosphere is elegant but still casual. People were dressed nicely and some people had shorts and tees. Children received plastic cups instead of glass for their drinks. Service was quick and food was marvelous. Would not hesitate to return.
Went for Sunday brunch, A very attentive staff, the food offering is good but not outstanding. Everything is well prepared. The desserts looked amazing. I won't go back, just didn't think it was worth it, but I'm not really a buffet person. The Fountainbleau is not the classy place it used to be, more the being in an airport now.
The food was outstanding as was the service making the price tolerable. The only criticism I have is the valet service. Retrieving your car was painfully slow; but we were leaving the restaurant at 2pm on Sunday, which is also the time a lot of people are checking out. Aside from that, I highly recommend this brunch buffet.
For a brunch it was terrible... The fresh seafood bar was unfrozen shrimp...Nothing else. Not what was advertised at all. The sushi was less than what I make at home in VA and I'm a nurse. All of it tasted the same. We come here every year and the dining was extremely sub par for the FB. We would not recommend or come again unless it was a free. A refund would be the only way to make us feel better.
There is nothing particularly wrong with VIDA, but there is nothing compelling about it either. The décor is modern, clean...and totally uninspired. The brunch offerings, while well prepared, are typical and boring. They do not have a carving stand, so no prime rib, turkey, lamb or ham offered. The restaurant does not offer any sort of view either, it does not overlook the beach, or the pool (I don't even think there is outdoor seating) and is not on a high floor to offer views of the area. Wrapping up, I've gone to VIDA, the meal was fine, the place is OK, I will not be back.
