Vida & Comida
We do our best to honor the exact time of your reservation. Although rare, there may be an additional wait time when you arrive at the restaurant, usually no more than ten or fifteen minutes. If this is the case, we offer complimentary, light refreshments, while you wait.
The new tapas on the menu are fantastic!
Went for a special occasion. Felt a bit bare boned staffing but food was outstanding. NO large portions but perfectly prepared octopus, lamb shank, mussels etc. Felt a tad expensive for Ambler with downtown prices but glad we went!
My second tiñe at this magnificent restaurant! This will be one of my favorites from now on. Food is delicious!!! A must go for sure !! Can’t wait to go again.
Great place to eat in the town of Ambler. Menu main dinner selections are small but they have great tapas selections. Everyone is super friendly.
I went there with my friends to celebrate my birthday ! What a great place it was . The food was excellent ! We had several small plates and they were all amazing ! The best part the delicious churros for dessert ! I can’t wait to go back !
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are so happy that you had a good experience with us and we look forward to serving you again in the future!
Christopher our server was wonderful! Loved the fresh flowers and the food delicious!! Thank you for provided such a wonderful experience.
Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts with us! Always glad to hear that our food, service, and atmosphere came together to create a memorable experience! Thanks again!😀
The food continues to be outstanding. You can’t go wrong with any of their fish dishes. They had a steak special with blue cheese that was great and Chocolate hazelnut crème brûlée was delicious.
Holy moly, the Osso Buco was AMAZING! So perfect for the fall! We also had the Paella which was nothing short of spectacular...took us right back to Madrid! For our first course we shared the chorizo al vino and the beet salad, both tasty and inspired. Our server Julie was right on top of our water and wines and timed the meal perfectly. So glad Ambler has this type of food, service, and atmosphere. Vida & Comida is our new favorite restaurant!
Thank you so much! It is always a pleasure serving such fantastic guests! We LOVE being in Ambler!😀😀
The food was very good but tables too close together felt very crowded in.
Not great this time, everything was off and the meat was disappointing.😞
Great service, nice ambiance, and outstanding food!
The service was sub par, the food was not good (one dish under cooked and the other was full of butter), and nothing was done about either in terms of someone coming to speak with us about any of it. We will never go back.
Comments are more helpful in person at the time of service. I can assure you that you had ample opportunity to bring up your concerns during dinner service as both a manager and the owner made rounds that evening and touched every table. Your comments are vague at best. Hiding behind an anonymous posting also reduces the credibility of your comments. Please do not return to the restaurant.
Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was divine. Never have I ever had chicken croquettes that were as good as mine/my mom’s. But that appetizer serving of croquettes matched ours. The Osso Bucco was tender and flavorful. The Spanish version of veal scallopini was a little thick, but very flavorful.
The churros were a delight!
We had a wonderful dinner. Recommend if you want a sophisticated quiet dinner in a lovely atmosphere. Sunday night was especially nice with the live guitarist. Very enjoyable.
Great cuisine, great service, correct prices. All good!
Not sure I would recommend this restaurant on a Saturday night. It was quite busy and the staff seem overwhelmed especially the waiter who was sweating profusely all evening. The 4 lamb chops were fatty and difficult to enjoy. This was my 3rd time dining here and the first time I was so disappointed. However my husband enjoyed the paella, it is probably best to stick to that dish.
We had dinner there on a Saturday night after Ambler’s Oktoberfest. There was a band playing in the restaurant next door and you could hear it full blast in our restaurant. By the time the band stopped playing, our restaurant had filled and it was still quite noisy. Service was slow but the food was good. The prices were equivalent to downtown restaurants but it didn’t have the great service to match. I might try it again during the week when perhaps they aren’t quite so busy.
The service was impeccable. We got 2 appetizers, first we received the Gambas al Ajillo which was delicious, then we received the Plato de Quesos Importados which was outstanding. We got 2 entrees. We got 2 specials...Sea Bass Cheek & Bacalao Vizcaina which were both delicious. My girlfriend got for dessert the Crema Catalana which she said was delicious. Overall, we have dined there many times. We have never had a bad meal.
Food was excellent as always. Our waiter was absent for most of our visit. He had other tables order before us, and those tables arrived after us. He poured our initial glass of wine, but then he never refreshed it. At the end he asked if we wanted dessert, and we said yes. He then told us he had to go back to see what choices were available. He seemed very disorganized.
we had an incredible meal. the appetizers , main meal and desert we all amazing. our waiter paced the meal perfectly and the restaurant is BYOB
I was a little disappointed with the Paella. When I've had it at other Spanish restaurants it was much more flavorful. The Vida version was a bit bland.
The food options and the food I ordered were AMAZING! The service was great. I'll definitely be going back to try another dish.
This was our first time at Vida & Comida and we enjoyed everything about the experience. Service was great and the food was exceptional. We will look forward to our next experience at Vida & Comida.
My wife and went here for our anniversary and even though this was our first time, we will definitely be back. The service was very good - waiter explained the whole menu and some the classic dishes. We started out with a mushroom toast of some sort and the Gambas al Ajillo (shrimp with garlic and olive oil). Both were very flavorful and could not wait for our entrees. My wife had the filet which was cooked perfectly and had a nice accompaniment. I had the squid ink paella special which was excellent. Both were good size portions and can’t wait to go back and try some more items. Highly recommend this place and it’s BYOB so it does not get any better!
Best meal we’ve had at a restaurant recently. I enjoyed a haddock special. It was hands down the best fish dish I’ve had at a restaurant! Almost don’t want to leave a good review because it’ll be more difficult to get a reservation
Great Spanish food with byob.
Ample parking, our waiter Dave was great, food was great, beautiful atmosphere, can't wait to go back!
First time to visit the restaurant...it was great...it was so pretty and I loved the chandeliers...our server was really friendly and the service was really nice. My girlfriends and I all loved what we chose for dinner. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back
Vida and Comida is an excellent BYOB. My girlfriend and I both had the Paella which was delicious. Our friends had Osso Bucca and Pork and they also enjoyed their meals. The service was also very good. I would highly recommend Vida and Comida.
The whole evening was wonderful. We were seated on time. Our server Tim clearly explained all the specials. Food was fabulous. ! Look forward to returning soon.
Food was high quality and well prepared. The wait staff was very attentive.
The food was very fresh, flavorful and presented beautifully. Our server team of Tim and Drew helped make our night and experience pleasant. We’ll be back to sample some other parts of the menu.
I was surprised how upscale the ambience was and servers were top notch ; one even offered to decant the wine we brought. Food was excellent and love that it’s a byob. We’ll be back.
Service and ambience are terrific. My ahi tuna was over cooked, but otherwise good experience.
We're regulars at Vida & Comida and our last dining experience explains why. Everything was superb. I had the house salad and dinner special of haddock. Light, very flavorful, and just down right delicious. Service was friendly and professional. Honestly, struggle to come up with one detail that can be improved.
Extra bonus, our meal is complimented with a special wine that we can bring. Another great night! Thank you Vida & Comida.
Love it there, one of our favorite restaurants. Food and service always excellent.
The food was great! The service was also very good. I love that Vida & Comida is a BYOB. It is small and intimate. I can’t wait to go back.
I had to be special salmon with a hazelnut tomato red pepper and onion salad very. It was outstanding!
Second visit. As good as the excellent in town places, but free, easy parking, and excellent food and service.
We had another wonderful meal at this gem of a byob in Ambler. The menu varies seasonally and always has interesting offerings. The service was excellent. This is a very dependable favorite.
