We are a local, independent restaurant giving diners a touch of charm and elegance but also with a casual and inviting atmosphere. We strive to offer diners a friendly, accomplished service and, most importantly, an interesting high-quality menu using fresh locally sourced ingredients wherever practical and possible.

Vegetarian as well as fish and meat dishes are a standard feature on the menu. Kent’s farmers and growers feature strongly as our main suppliers of organic and free range poultry, meat and other fresh produce.

Kent vintages feature heavily on our wine list along with a wide selection of wines from around the globe.

Victuals was recommended to us by a friend. It did not live up to expectations. Food was over-priced - my gambas starter was £12 for 2 large prawns. A steak and kidney pudding was low on meat content but heavy on mash. My wife’s seafood linguine was better in terms of fish content but had a strangely sweet Asian style dressing. It also contained a number of bones. Sadly - could not recommend.

Very nice place , with good ,friendly but professional service. Shortish menu ,but something for everyone . Food excellent .

Fantastic place for a Sunday roast. Long time fav place for us all, and the new menus have even more delicious choices. Already looking forward to my next time there. ❤️

A really lovely restaurant in a fabulous location. The staff were very welcoming, very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and served with a lot of love. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back.

I booked a table for me and my partner for his birthday at the steak and magic night. We had such an amazing time. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The magic act was superb and left us speechless. I csn honestly say it was the best steak I've ever had. Cooked to perfection and accompanied by all the yummy good stuff. The peppercorn sauce was to die for.

We had a great evening at Victuals & Co. The food was excellent. We had the steak and kidney pudding that was very tasty and the sweet potato curry. For our taste, the curry could be a little more spicy and the potatoes firmer but overall very good. The prices were good value for the quality of the food. The ambiance was great, and the host and his team were always available. Highly recommended and will go again. A cool restaurant

We always have a lovely meal at Victuals. The food is delicious, the staff are lovely and an all round great tine.

Victuals was once a great place to eat with high end food lovingly prepared by someone who knew their way around a kitchen. Sadly under new ownership this is no longer the case. We went for a Sunday roast and roast it was not. It tasted like it had all come from a box or a packet. Lacked flavour that you get when you roast a joint of beef. Roast potatoes that hadn’t seen any beef fat, and a cheese sauce that was a packet mix over cauliflower and broccoli. Also confusion when a roast beef dinner comes with a pig in blanket and a Paxo stuffing ball!!! Puds were definitely mass produced and custard from a box. All in all one avoid. When the bill came there are a candy lollipop and a tube of love hearts!! I’m in my sixties and come out for a Sunday dinner, I’m not six having eaten a bowl of pasta. Service was ok, couple of pleasant youngsters but lacked some good table service. We didn’t seem to be the only guests that day that weren’t overly enamoured.
