Victory Meat & Seafood
A Chef inspired neighborhood Eatery serving a selection of prime meats and seasonal fish in a Nantucket-casual-meets-city-chic neighborhood restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst, the lively space is fronted by an oyster bar and cocktail lounge offering classic cocktails, craft beer and a global wine list.
Great place, great food, good time! Been here several times and it never disappoints.
Chef prepared dish incorrectly. Sent food back only to have the plate return with wrong topping (Jalepeno)
Scrapped off and correct presentation (vesuvio)
Lopped on top. Tasted like jalapeño vesuvio! Ughh
Sent back again. Rush job. Sea Bass was over cooked
Vesuvio potato’s undercooked, and vesuvio pea dried out and hard. Experiences like this make me want to move back downtown.
We really liked this place however our service was very slow and our server kept disappearing.
Excellent food. Pacing of appetizers and meal was good.
This was our first time here. We went for my husbands birthday. We all loved it! There were 4 of us. Two had fish and two had steaks. The steaks were amazing and the fish was good. Portions are very generous and we will definitely go back again!
Best restaurant in Elmhurst, fresh seafood and amazing steaks.
Victory is a favorite of mine! Love all the people that work there. The service is outstanding. Great seafood... the meatballs and the brick chicken are delicioius!! Great bar, too!!
Food was fantastic but that was about it. Service was incredibly slow. Took along time for everything, drinks, appetizers, dinner. Not sure what has happened here but think twice!
Everything was excellent!
Amazing oysters! Great dinner and drinks!!!
We come here about once a month. Excellent service, excellent food & drinks! We usually order off of the daily specials menu & I am always pleased with my selections! The seabass is so perfectly prepared, it melts in your mouth.
We enjoyed the food at Victory. I had Dover Sole with lemon caper sauce with brocollini and my husband had the lobster roll. The jalapeño hash browns (really diced potatoes) were excellent. We got there quite early on a Friday at 5:30 and it was not crowded. When it got more crowded, our server was more occupied (naturally) so service became more sparse. I would definitely return to Victory for a meal!
Everything was perfect
Really great food! I'd recommend they put the trio of medallions on risotto on the main menu. It was amazing!!!
Excellent food and service!!
Laura our waitress was the saving grace for the evening.
Hostess sat us and no one came to our table for the first 10 minutes. Luckily Laura noticed the mistake and took care of us.
The seafood specials are different every time and not to be missed! Our server made recommendations and we were very pleased. Fabulous food choices. My husband and I always receive exceptional service. On our last visit, there was a problem with our reservation. The staff comped our drinks and appetizer. On this visit, the bartender remembered us and our previous situation, so he comped our drinks and dessert. That was very unexpected. One of our favorite restaurants.
Erica was our server and she was fantastic. The grilled octopus was phenomenal and sausage and rapini orecchiette was delicious. Great wine deals on Wednesday’s.
As usual another great experience...this place never disappoints with the exceptional service & quality food. This is my favorite restaurant.
Victory is unique place!Decor is East coast style. A restaurant you would put up against big restaurants downtown free parking (no valet service) but still nice chances are you won't get carjacked in Elmhurst another plus. Give it a try
A welcomed addition to downtown Elmhurst, Victory has great potential. Interesting menu but spotty service, they are probably still working the kinks out. I hope they do to make the experience worthwhile. Check it out and stop by next door at Tannins for a glass of wine and live music.
We’ve been loyal repeat customers until tonight. 50 minute wait for food is terrible. No communication from manager or others. Food undercooked. Not all orders ready together. Sides were never delivered.
We had a wonderful time! Great ambience! Food was awesome! Our waitress was very nice and accommodating! We will be back!
Service was very good, but the food was underwhelming. Maybe it was because of how late we ate but it wasn’t what I expected walking in.
Great spot in D/T Elmhurst. Yummy food selections and the wait staff is attentive without being oppressive. More to try, will def be back!
The waiter, Victor (believe it or not), has to be the best waiter that has ever stood table-side during my 57 years of walking the earth. Food was great, room was a bit loud, but Victor made us forget that we had been given the worst table in the house . . . . next to the kitchen. Great place.
Waited for food to arrive for a long time. Salad and entree came at the same time with no explanation or apology. Dover sole was excellent. Side of broccolini was stone cold.
Food is perfection. Friendly wait staff. Long waiting. Noise level louder than a frat party las Saturday nite. Will definitely go again. They need more space.
Food was on the better side of ok. Positions were VERY large. We realistically could have bought one meal for two people. If you approach your meal from that perspective then it can be a good value. Found it was a bit expensive for two people when getting your own meals. Ambience was a 5/5!
Have now been to Victory several times but on this visit highlighted by our waiter Max, they out did them selves .Recommendations were spot on including the SeaBass special.Dinner can be pricey but Victory does back up the price with a first class dining experience
My husband had the stuffed salmon and it was raw inside. I had the sausage and peppers. The sausage was over cooked and a little dry. Overall it was just ok. The service was very good.
We made a reservation for 7:00. We were initially told it would be a few minutes but after waiting for over thirty minutes and being told several lies about why our table was not ready we left. There were several open tables while we were waiting and a waiter even asked us and the hostess why we were not sitting at the open table. Just before we left they seated someone who had just arrived (7:35). While we were waiting there was nowhere to sit down and we were constantly moving for people. No one tried to make our wait more comfortable. We left at 7:40 feeling that they made no effort to honor the reservation and feeling very insulted.
I still wish they have gluten free options. Definitely get the grilled calamari.
Noise level was excessive. We had to speak loudly to be heard. Tables very closely packed. Our dinner was excellent. As was the service. Unlikely we will return though given noise and uncomfortable seating.
First time there and it was completely awesome! Met a bunch of friends there and we completely had a great time great food great atmosphere, will be back!!!
This was my first Visit to Victory Meat and Sea Food- My wife and I joined another couple this past Saturday. We are going back this Thursday. Outstanding is an understatement. Our Victory Brand ambassador Matt, made our experience the best. He made great recommendations and had exceptional knowledge of the menu. He also promoted and told of all the other Victory locations and themes.
The entire staff was very well rained and provide some of the best service ever enjoyed.
We had appetizers, salad, and entrees; food came hot and was very good. With drinks, a little bit on the expensive side. But I guess you get what you pay for.
I would highly recommended, especially for any special occasions.
The most amazing food, drinks, people, and atmosphere !! This place is a true gem!!
It is a little over priced -- I enjoyed the food and ambiance but It was pretty expensive.
