Victory Meat & Seafood
A Chef inspired neighborhood Eatery serving a selection of prime meats, seasonal fish, Jumbo Size Seafood and Italian specialties all wrapped in a Nantucket-casual-meets-city-chic neighborhood restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst, the lively space is fronted by an oyster bar and cocktail lounge offering classic cocktails, craft beer and a global wine list.
Another fantastic dinner at Victory! We are thrilled to see Harrison is back as the GM. He provides the best service and always makes dining there a pleasure.
Great service and food!! Love coming here
The food and service were great. Hector was our server - he is funny, kind, and made great suggestions for us and explained menu items. The seafood is fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail and some oysters to start during happy hour. I wish the happy hour had a bit more but it was a good deal for the oysters and drinks. For dinner we had the white fish (came with some mussels and clams in a white wine sauce - delicious!) and the orzo cacio peppe (also delicious and very generous portion). Overall, great experience and food.
Great food, trendy setting, excellent service. A great place to dine in downtown Elmhurst.
A little pricey, but you could tell you were in a fine dining restaurant. The service (EVERY SINGLE PERSON) was exceptional.
Quality of food for the price was spot on. Great healthier options as well. Service was wonderful. We will definitely go back!
This restaurant is amazing!! The food is incredible and both their wine list and cocktails were great also.
Our server Olivia was amazing. Quick, attentive and very professional!
The GM Harrison Rose is top notch. Both made my birthday celebration memorable.
I highly recommend Victory!
The atmosphere was perfect. the clams were delicious as were the Brussel sprouts. Our table had the skirt steak, pork chop, brick chicken and tuna. It was all very good. Can't wait to go back to try more.
Fantastic meal (as always). We went for NYE dinner and the energy was amazing, only beaten by how great the food was.
New Years eve
Great food, great service, normal prices for New Years Eve. I’ll be back
Food is always delicious, service was excellent
Music too loud.
Chef Raul and his menu are excellent. Brick chicken is a steal. Harrison the manager and Hector our server are awesome. Will be back often.
Excellent food and service!
Very disappointed! have been to Victory many times.. for the price, everything should always be top-notch. Guest ordered shrimp de Jonghe - came tough, chewy, hard pieces. She sent it back. She ordered the baked potato - had to ask for butter - would have expected nice presentation of butter/sour cream/etc like an upscale restaurant. No one even asked her if she wanted the toppings! She had to ask! As always the service was great (Carlos, our first time with him and busboys are always great) but this time food not so much. Had the whitefish with brown butter/mushrooms, very plain, no zip to it, although OK, just nothing to write home about. How do you not do shrimp correctly when you are a seafood place? ON plus side, my filet was perfectly cooked! perfectly! but with so many places to spend your dining dollar, why attempt another time that might be disappointing? won't be going back any time soon. A shame, used to be so good with Harrison in charge. And menu needs upgrading! needs some interesting vegetable and side choices,, akin to Livia or that 110 Place just across from York Theater.
Very good appetizers with delicious grilled seafood. The cocktails were wonderful and excellent wine list. Really solid and always a great experience.
Awesome place with great food and service. Jalapeño hash browns one of best sides EVER!! Meat is high quality. Salmon was delicious.
Go on Friday and ask to speak to Frank, he is a host with great personality and life stories.
Excellent experience from start to finish.
This is a pass! Great location and friendly people only go so far. Way overpriced!!! Poor value. Friday night special is steak and lobster. Let’s just say it’s not special. Asked for salt, it never came. Not sure they have any as not much seasoning on anything. Steak bland. Lobster over cooked. Forget the oysters. Just pass all around. Better off going to Perry’s in Oak Brook. Hell of a lot better food for the same price. One positive. The bartender, Olivia, is absolutely awesome! .
No reason to add photos of sub par food.
Four of us enjoyed a Thursday dinner at Victory. We shared meatballs and baked clams. The Dover Sole,
Whitefish and King Salmon were tasty.
Not the best dining experience I've had. First, we were seated in the back, by the service station, office, kitchen and bathrooms - I understand someone has to sit there but it was overly noisy and not the best ambiance. At first glance, the menu looked great but most of the items that we ate were just fair - nothing great but nothing bad either, just meh. The service was spotty and disjointed. Our waitress never told us the specials and took FOREVER to take our order (a good 45 minutes after we got our drinks). The appetizers for another table was delivered to us twice - the second time we accepted it unknowingly because it was also what we had ordered. When our main food arrived, two of the three entrees came and the third took a good five minutes more because it was "just being turned in the pan" but in reality was delivered at a cool room temperature. Overall, it was just a disappointing dining experience. For all of the good things we've heard about this place, I would not feel comfortable recommending it or going back to try again. The food was just okay and I don't feel like we had the overall quality experience we were expecting based on the price.
Disappointing for the first time. Apparently understaffed. Our server also tended bar…. Took a long time to be served.
Service and atmosphere were fantastic. Menu was very appealing. Enjoyed the Sazerac cocktail. My entree was a huge disappointment. I had the shrimp de jonghe which was really more of a scampi. Only four shrimp in the dish and they were extremely tough, hardly any breadcrumbs and light on the garlic. Very disappointing. The capital oysters were just okay. Highlight of the meal was the complimentary garlic bread. For the price, we expected a much better dining experience.
Service was slow even after we said 2 of us needed to make a movie (with plenty of time for food to come). People seated next to us after we arrived received their food before us! Of course, our food arrived as we were leaving and the waitress said, “oh, leaving already?” as if it were a surprise. This was not our first time visiting this place nor our first time with this waitress, so we expected better. Very disappointed this visit.
Really enjoy this place. Pork chop is one the better ones I've had . . . though would REALLY like them to serve it with apple sauce. Skirt steak is killer. Great drinks.
Food was great. Carlos was great.
Wish we were greeted at the front with more friendliness. Manager needs to get to know his regulars better.
Wonderful birthday dinner celebration for friends Lisa and Frank! Loved our grilled calamari, loved our salad and my Scallop Risotto special! Please keep all items on menu! Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend😊👍
Good as usual
Sea Bass and Salmon were amazing. Grilled calamari a bit chewy for my liking but the fish quickly made me forget about it.
Very loud and vibrant restaurant. Service was average. Slow on meal delivery and a few forgetful misses on requests (e.g., glass of ice). Prices are Lincoln Park top food prices for just above average food. Fish was $44 dollars and was good but not great. Brick chicken was dry. Also, drink portions are measured. Wine by the glass is two fingers. Not typical of higher end places. My third time here. I think I am done.
It seemed like they were overbooked for the evening. We got seated next to the bathrooms and
Great location, service was good but the noise level was high and the food was too salty and buttery for our taste.
Solid choice for a moderately priced steak and seafood restaurant. Don’t expect capital grill type ambiance. Fresh seafood options abound and well prepared. It’s a little small and noise level high. You’ll also get smoked out by the kitchen being open in the small restaurant space. Service very good to excellent. I’d go there again but try to sit next to the aquarium if you want to be near all the action.
We met friends at Victory for dinner. Our waiter was exceptional. He was able to make suggestions and answer our questions. The food was magnificent and creative. The food arrived in a timely way, but we were never rushed. We had a chance to sit and talk while lingering over mouthful after mouthful. We will be back.
Good service, good slow pace for a nice time. Amazing food.
Waiter Lido was excellent! It was our 1st time there and he knew every item on the menu, just an all around great individual! And the Host, Natalie was beautiful and sincere. Due to music across the street being a little loud she offered to bring us inside; even asked if we wanted her to walk across the street to ask them to lower it a bit. We didn't do neither however it was the point she wanted to go above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and happy. Great job to the owners; excellent food "amazing Crab Alfredo", as well as exceptional service!!! We can't wait to return!!!
I’ve been to VM&S many x’s & last night was the 1st that I’ve had a very long wait for my food. It seemed like others who came in after us where attended to quicker & received their food 1st. Even with this being stated I did receive the Same great food & friendly waiter/staff service.
Again I’be been here plenty of x’s & this was a 1st so I’m not sure if it was what we ordered (oysters, calamari, corn) or something else but it did kind of make us a little irritated because we were hungry lol. In any event still a great place to dine.
Too large of servings. Slow drink service. Side dish came late. Just ok. Not worth the dollars. Timing off for the price point.
Great place, great food, good time! Been here several times and it never disappoints.
Chef prepared dish incorrectly. Sent food back only to have the plate return with wrong topping (Jalepeno)
Scrapped off and correct presentation (vesuvio)
Lopped on top. Tasted like jalapeño vesuvio! Ughh
Sent back again. Rush job. Sea Bass was over cooked
Vesuvio potato’s undercooked, and vesuvio pea dried out and hard. Experiences like this make me want to move back downtown.
