Victory Meat & Seafood
A Chef inspired neighborhood Eatery serving a selection of prime meats and seasonal fish in a Nantucket-casual-meets-city-chic neighborhood restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst, the lively space is fronted by an oyster bar and cocktail lounge offering classic cocktails, craft beer and a global wine list.
Top notch food, service is excellent.
A must stop for cocktails and food.
Our server Carlos was amazing. He made our evening together so wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly and the wine tasted great too. The octopus was grilled perfectly and the sea bass was cooked perfectly.
Phenomenal food and service.
Food is excellent, service is very good. A little loud but not unbearable. A little pricey but you get a lot of food. We've been there a couple of times and will be back
Everything was great except for our table. My husband has cane we were seated in back by the computers service area My husband’s back was to it and waiters and waitresses kept bumping into him.
Very good food in a quaint setting. Highly uncommon in the ‘burbs!
Great restaurant! Food & service excellent. However, surprised they only had one creamy salad dressing to offer. My husband loves a good wedge salad, but dislikes blue cheese. He asked for ranch & was told they didn’t have any other creamy dressings to offer. I have friends with the same exception to blue cheese. We won’t bring them here, unfortunately. In restaurant with $40 entrees, this is unacceptable.
The best fish anyplace. The best service levels from all the people. Best drinks ever. What a place
Love the food. Fun atmosphere. Only complaint is it seems every time we go (so far 5 times?) they are out of their special or oysters or other menu items. For example, went last week when they opened, early (4pm), and did not have the daily special (prime rib) or the beet salad. Food expensive for the burbs.
Excellent food - the Sunday salad, bread and Sea bass speciality were ourstanding. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
We had an assortment of food that we split as a group. The steak; seafood and brick chicken is some of the best food you will find anywhere in Chicagoland area. The service was top notch and it is a fun place to people watch from the bar or a high top table.
Our meal & drinks were fabulous! Excellent service from the hostess, to the waitress, to the servers. Our dinners were from the specials menu (whitefish with a side of sauteed garlic spinach, and the fresh tuna. Both were excellent. We enjoyed our experience and we'll definitely make a return visit. It was a bit loud, but it adds to the excitement of a great meal. No complaints here!
The service at Victory is impeccable. I was so impressed with our waiter and his knowledge of the menu. The food was delicious but the steak could use a bit more seasoning. I hope they make the Brussels sprouts special a permanent item!
Hidden gem in Elmhurst. Food is fantastic, unique and very tasty. The service is second to none. The GM, Harrison is really incredible.
I have been there 3 times. It is my favorite restaurant in the area. Excellent food each visit.
This is one of the gems of the western burbs. The steaks (and all of the food) is great. The staff is super friendly and manger was very nice and accommodating. I almost hate writing such a great review because I’d like to keep this place a secret, but a place this good should get all the customers it can because they deserve it. The only knock I have is the back part of the dining room is meh. They could use a bigger space. Highly recommend this place.
The service was great and the cocktails were delicious but my risotto was undercooked. The flavors of the dish were great and the scallops were perfect but the risotto itself was a bit too hard and should have been cooked longer.
Food was great and service was better!!
We picked this restaurant because honestly we waited too long to book Christmas Eve, and it was one of the only ones available at the time we needed. What a great place! The food was excellent. Filet was one of the most tender I’ve had and cooked perfectly. The brick chicken was outstanding too - tender and moist. I rated it overall as a 4 because if a few minor glitches in service. The gentleman in charge helped out in that department and they covered everything just fine. Atmosphere was good. Pretty basic trendy but not too much. Will be back!
Steaks were cold. Literally cold
We had a fantastic experience and are so glad we discovered Victory. Atmosphere is upbeat and trendy, reminds me of a downtown restaurant. We had the burrata salad, the misto griglio and the dover sole and all were very, very good. And the portions are huge. Our waitress Ashely was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly and did not rush us at all. Overall a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back.
I ordered their sea bass and it was the best I have ever had- the entire meal and experience was outstanding and cannot wait to go back!
Family in town for the holidays.
Second time there. Service was awful. Ordered steak medium rare came well done. Waiter disappeared several times. Place was empty , saw staff standing around in phones. Took 34 minutes to order apps and another 30 to order dinner.
Overpriced food was fair. Save your money and time
Ordered bone in rib eye. Medium. Came out rare. They put it back on the grill. When it was brought back out it was still medium rare at best. We also had a side of asparagus that came out barely warm.
It’s always good. But I recommend ordering your steak a level below where you want it. I ordered rare-medium rare and it was definitely medium. This has been the same every time I’ve been there. Good quality.
Nice local restaurant food is fantastic but pricey. Great location
My husband and I visited The Victory for our anniversary as a friend recommended it and we loved it. I would have given 5 stars but we did not enjoy our Server all that much. We asked her about the Free Shrimp special and she wasn't sure and said she would ask and we had to ask her a 2nd time about the special. She seemed to lack knowledge all together about some of the dishes. Otherwise, the ambiance was fabulous, casually elegant. The food was amazing with a variety of delicious options. I would definitely recommend Victory and plan to go back.
Great food, excellent service, lots of seafood options.
It was so noisy (plus I’m deaf minus 10), I couldn’t hear my date breathe. Darren and Hannah commandeered a four-top for us, where we could sit next to each other and make sense of the evening. A great meal, as always, but bending the rules in pursuit of the exceptional customer experience is treasured. Thanks, guys. We’ll be back.
Everything was great. Food and atmosphere. Drinks too.
J Mallek was our waitress and she was super! Thanks. We'll be back. Food was good. Saw the full page ad in the Elmhurst Independent and was very interested in the weekday specials.
Tough decision between fish or steak. Went with the filet, great decision
Lovely little restaurant in a quirky, fun part of town. My husband and I brought our 4 year old. We all had fun. I especially liked the oyster selection. Congrats to GM Jolie Schaefer! You run a tight ship.
Cocktails and food were fantastic. A little issue with the order but the staff went way above and beyond to make it right. Have no issues going back, again and again..
Harrison, one of the managers always impresses us. Obvious he loves his job and is doing all he can for people to have a great experience
My sweet boyfriend found this GR8 place on the internet and chose it because of the AMAZING REVIEWS. YES....I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! Drove by the restaurant on my way to work this morning and CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!!
Get the brick chicken. Well, everything is good...
Our food was just OK...very expensive for the food
What a meal. From burata (with very special bread) as appetizer, to ribeye perfectly cooked, to a complimentary tiramisu for our anniversary, this was a five star meal with five star service.
