Victory Meat & Seafood
A Chef inspired neighborhood Eatery serving a selection of prime meats and seasonal fish in a Nantucket-casual-meets-city-chic neighborhood restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Elmhurst, the lively space is fronted by an oyster bar and cocktail lounge offering classic cocktails, craft beer and a global wine list.
Laura our waitress was the saving grace for the evening.
Hostess sat us and no one came to our table for the first 10 minutes. Luckily Laura noticed the mistake and took care of us.
The seafood specials are different every time and not to be missed! Our server made recommendations and we were very pleased. Fabulous food choices. My husband and I always receive exceptional service. On our last visit, there was a problem with our reservation. The staff comped our drinks and appetizer. On this visit, the bartender remembered us and our previous situation, so he comped our drinks and dessert. That was very unexpected. One of our favorite restaurants.
Erica was our server and she was fantastic. The grilled octopus was phenomenal and sausage and rapini orecchiette was delicious. Great wine deals on Wednesday’s.
As usual another great experience...this place never disappoints with the exceptional service & quality food. This is my favorite restaurant.
Victory is unique place!Decor is East coast style. A restaurant you would put up against big restaurants downtown free parking (no valet service) but still nice chances are you won't get carjacked in Elmhurst another plus. Give it a try
A welcomed addition to downtown Elmhurst, Victory has great potential. Interesting menu but spotty service, they are probably still working the kinks out. I hope they do to make the experience worthwhile. Check it out and stop by next door at Tannins for a glass of wine and live music.
We had a wonderful time! Great ambience! Food was awesome! Our waitress was very nice and accommodating! We will be back!
Service was very good, but the food was underwhelming. Maybe it was because of how late we ate but it wasn’t what I expected walking in.
Great spot in D/T Elmhurst. Yummy food selections and the wait staff is attentive without being oppressive. More to try, will def be back!
The waiter, Victor (believe it or not), has to be the best waiter that has ever stood table-side during my 57 years of walking the earth. Food was great, room was a bit loud, but Victor made us forget that we had been given the worst table in the house . . . . next to the kitchen. Great place.
Waited for food to arrive for a long time. Salad and entree came at the same time with no explanation or apology. Dover sole was excellent. Side of broccolini was stone cold.
Food is perfection. Friendly wait staff. Long waiting. Noise level louder than a frat party las Saturday nite. Will definitely go again. They need more space.
Food was on the better side of ok. Positions were VERY large. We realistically could have bought one meal for two people. If you approach your meal from that perspective then it can be a good value. Found it was a bit expensive for two people when getting your own meals. Ambience was a 5/5!
Have now been to Victory several times but on this visit highlighted by our waiter Max, they out did them selves .Recommendations were spot on including the SeaBass special.Dinner can be pricey but Victory does back up the price with a first class dining experience
My husband had the stuffed salmon and it was raw inside. I had the sausage and peppers. The sausage was over cooked and a little dry. Overall it was just ok. The service was very good.
We made a reservation for 7:00. We were initially told it would be a few minutes but after waiting for over thirty minutes and being told several lies about why our table was not ready we left. There were several open tables while we were waiting and a waiter even asked us and the hostess why we were not sitting at the open table. Just before we left they seated someone who had just arrived (7:35). While we were waiting there was nowhere to sit down and we were constantly moving for people. No one tried to make our wait more comfortable. We left at 7:40 feeling that they made no effort to honor the reservation and feeling very insulted.
I still wish they have gluten free options. Definitely get the grilled calamari.
Noise level was excessive. We had to speak loudly to be heard. Tables very closely packed. Our dinner was excellent. As was the service. Unlikely we will return though given noise and uncomfortable seating.
First time there and it was completely awesome! Met a bunch of friends there and we completely had a great time great food great atmosphere, will be back!!!
This was my first Visit to Victory Meat and Sea Food- My wife and I joined another couple this past Saturday. We are going back this Thursday. Outstanding is an understatement. Our Victory Brand ambassador Matt, made our experience the best. He made great recommendations and had exceptional knowledge of the menu. He also promoted and told of all the other Victory locations and themes.
The entire staff was very well rained and provide some of the best service ever enjoyed.
We had appetizers, salad, and entrees; food came hot and was very good. With drinks, a little bit on the expensive side. But I guess you get what you pay for.
I would highly recommended, especially for any special occasions.
The most amazing food, drinks, people, and atmosphere !! This place is a true gem!!
It is a little over priced -- I enjoyed the food and ambiance but It was pretty expensive.
Date night with
Great food & service. Only thing is they need to increase their wine pours. It’s like you get 3 sips & it’s gone. The small pour should be doubled!
Best thing we had was the Elote which was very good. Drinks came timely; however, it 15 minutes and a second request to get the restaurant week menu. Overall, it was about 35 minutes in before we were able to order. My wife was not impressed by her Filet. My Filet came out med-well instead of med-rare, but what was worse was it took more than 30 minutes and several inquiries to get another properly cooked Filet (at a steak house). The manager promptly apologized and the meal was comp'ed. It was Saturday evening, but service and food preparation has to be better for a higher-end steak restaurant. An aside, the restaurant week menu was unimpressive and no bargain.
Loved this restaurant. Everyone is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Each dish that what had gets a 5 star. I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you Harrison and Franco it was a great dinner.
We love this place. My wife and I brag about the food and service and spread the word to others on how awesome everything is. In particular, Harrison and Matt know what we like and even had a meatball sandwich ready for us to devour during our last visit. The meatballs with ricotta are stupid good and Ive talked about them making this into a sandwich and the Victory team obliged. It was a nice surprise! Skirt steak and frites is my favorite entree. Great wine selection and killer apps as well. Victory is a cant miss!
Excellent service + tasty food ... large portions ....................................................
Top notch food, service is excellent.
A must stop for cocktails and food.
Our server Carlos was amazing. He made our evening together so wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly and the wine tasted great too. The octopus was grilled perfectly and the sea bass was cooked perfectly.
Phenomenal food and service.
Food is excellent, service is very good. A little loud but not unbearable. A little pricey but you get a lot of food. We've been there a couple of times and will be back
Everything was great except for our table. My husband has cane we were seated in back by the computers service area My husband’s back was to it and waiters and waitresses kept bumping into him.
Great service, good food. Very noisy up front but quieter in the back.
Very good food in a quaint setting. Highly uncommon in the ‘burbs!
Great restaurant! Food & service excellent. However, surprised they only had one creamy salad dressing to offer. My husband loves a good wedge salad, but dislikes blue cheese. He asked for ranch & was told they didn’t have any other creamy dressings to offer. I have friends with the same exception to blue cheese. We won’t bring them here, unfortunately. In restaurant with $40 entrees, this is unacceptable.
The best fish anyplace. The best service levels from all the people. Best drinks ever. What a place
Love the food. Fun atmosphere. Only complaint is it seems every time we go (so far 5 times?) they are out of their special or oysters or other menu items. For example, went last week when they opened, early (4pm), and did not have the daily special (prime rib) or the beet salad. Food expensive for the burbs.
Excellent food - the Sunday salad, bread and Sea bass speciality were ourstanding. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
