Victory Park Tavern
We welcome you to join us for live music every Friday and Saturday night.
Have been a constant customer for over 40
Yrs! Almost every Saturday.
It turned over couple of years ago, unfortunately was not satisfactory.
The newest owner/ chef is excellent. There are still servers left from the original. Service is great as always.
Ambiance is probably considered rustic, old library, dark wood look.
It is a local beloved place. Food is creative, lot of specials.
We went with a party of 7 to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. Incredible food, everything we had. Outstanding service from Donna. She was gracious to our challenging group(ages 4months to 86 years), was accommodating, and masterfully guided our decisions. Thank you.
Our booth was cozy and gave us just enough privacy without isolating us. Our server appeared to be overworked and not overly attentive. The food was delicious but took an extremely long time to come out of the kitchen. Couples seated after us received their entrees before we had even received our appetizers. Having said that, the Manager was gracious and apologetic and adjusted our check accordingly. The bar area was hopping with live music that sounded great even in the dining room. We will definitely give Victory Park another try.
Overpriced for what you get! Good drink menu
First time there was Wednesday for burger night. App I shared was the eggplant meatballs, kind of mushy and unique, wouldn't get them again. Ordered the Beyond burger and asked if any GF buns but, unfortunately not. So instead I asked for greens and sautéed onions. Very disappointed, it's a frozen prefab something, tasted deep fried & didn't get any avocado mousse as specified on menu nor did I get the sautéed onion. I did get a slice of raw onion, (yuck), and chopped salad.
Service was prompt, and it's quite loud in the main dining room.
In an area that charges a lot for hospitality but delivers very little, VPC stands out as reliably good food and service.
Favorite neighborhood place.
Restaurant refused to process my Open Table points
Chilean Sea Bass was gelatinous
Lovely presentation on the tuna tartare appetizer--a very generous portion served with cubes of avocado. Definitely recommended. The grilled salmon was excellent--again, accompanied by a creative selection of mixed greens and sprouts. Service was fine and prices were fair. Glad the old bones of What's Your Beef are still present--very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
love the old What's Your Beef. Love what you have done with the new Victory Park Tavern. Still a nice homey feel. love the open front bar windows
Delicious Lobster risotto with large pieces of lobster.
Service was very good, food was ok. For a family restaurant the price was a bit high. For the money I’d rather go to Angelica’s or Giorgio’ s
We enjoyed our first trip to Victory Park Tavern. The burgers were excellent. The servers were attentive.
Excellent service & outstanding food! This was our 4th visit, love this place!
Great place, food & service. Will go again!
I liked the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. I had the french onion burger & fries which was delicious. The server split the caesar salad for my husband and me, we appreciated that. We ordered brussel sprouts a bit late but they came out quickly. Unfortunately, the kitchen forgot to season them so they were bland. Service was a bit slow, the food overall was very good but I feel the prices were a bit on the high side.
Service was slow. Food was good. I found entrees were pricey. My friend was served 4 scallops. Her dinner cost $36.
I had the Cedar planked salmon and my friend enjoyed the mushroom and goat cheese ravioli. We shared the burrata as and appetizer and finished with the delicious chocolate pudding. Its always delicious at Victory Park Tavern. Highly recommend!
Great local spot, great bartenders, good food, but next time I order the steak, hopefully it'll be cooked the right way.
Excellent on all counts.
The only criticism was that the wine and cocktail list was rather limited.
We’ve been to that location for forty years.
This new owner is superb!
Ambiance is pretty much the same, which we enjoy!
Good local dining, good menu selections, good service
Relief that Victory Tavern has been successful! We missed “What’s Your Beef” ... But this is a wonderful replacement‼️
Keep up the good work🙃
Went on a Wednesday and all in the party had burgers. Burgers cooked just right. Extremely noisy - couldn't hear anyone at the table. Will return but ask for a less noisy spot.
Really loud. Took away from the enjoyment of the evening. Food and service OK.
Great food, music, and service!
Old style pub feel. Light music on weekends. Bar opens to street in summer. Great town. Theresa was very welcoming and gave us nice seating options. Ed P
Food was good
Great little place; great food and good vibe. Ordered the Halibut which was cooked to perfection. The soft shell crabs were good; the only complaint is the the lobster sliders are mostly made with the lobster claws.
Went on a Friday evening and after 60 minutes never received our appetizer, dinner or any food we ordered
It’s too loud to have live music!!!!
We have been there numerous times and always enjoyed ourselves. This time I was looking for a nice dinner with my wife and we were seated next to four guys probably in there early forties which you wouldn’t have know it by there behavior. They were done eating which I was guessing for a while and must have been drinking all day which continued at the restaurant. We were sitting right next to them with a small space just enough to fit someone between to get out which wasn’t the problem. The issue is they were visibly drunk, loud dropping f bombs every other word standing up at times challenging each other for almost every thing from basketball to horseshoes. We could not eat fast enough and get the bill, couldn’t even have a conversation with my wife over the yelling and neither the waitress nor the hostess said anything to them. We won’t be back anytime soon.
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Will go back. Good bar scene if that is your thing. Rest of restaurant is child friendly
Everything was wonderful. App glad we found Chef Peter O'Connell again!!! We've had various menu delights, including burgers, pork chops, lobster risotto, Ann's the mint and pea soup! Everything = delicious!!
Excellent service and food, very pleasant hostess. A good experience!
Great service “Linda” & the bus boys. We loved the food, the atmosphere and highly recommend this restaurant!
My burger was well done (ordered medium) but the staff was pleasant and attentive. The new burger was out within 10 minutes. Kathy was our server (wonderful!) and Theresa, the manager was very helpful.
Will definitely return.
This was my second visit to Victory Park Tavern and the food did not disappoint! I will be back for sure! Kathy was our server and was attentive and personable without being too overbearing.
Way too loud. But all else was good. Food was very good.
