Victory Park Tavern
We welcome you to join us for live music every Friday and Saturday night.
First time at Victory Park Tavern. Food was very good, came out quickly, service was great, will definitely be back.
Food is fabulous! Already recommended to friends and family.
Appetizer was amazing! Highly recommend the tuna. However, my sister's chicken was over cooked, and my pasta didn't have much flavor. For the price, I expected much more. In addition, our service provider maybe did not recognize us as "regulars" so I do not think we got the "A" game. My mother asked for a second glass of wine that never showed up and both my sister and I mentioned that we were celebrating my brother's birthday and that we would like a dessert delivered and again it never showed up. Over all, great atmosphere, appetizer was fantastic, my sister said the chicken had great flavor but it was dry. I would say MEH. Not sure I would go back for more than a drink and to see the local live entertainment.
Great variety of choices but not too many. I had the Bolagnese which was tremendous with large chunks of veal, beef, and pork. I could have ordered a bunch of other entrees that looked delicious. The eggplant meatball and Ahi Tuna appetizers were uniquely prepared and presented. Atmosphere is rustic and warm. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights was a nice way to enjoy an after dinner drink at the bar. I would recommend you visit the Victory Tavern soon and you will find a new go to for a great night out!
It's loud and crowded on weekends. Food is good but without much novelty or brilliance and prices are slightly high, especially for fish. I've always liked the place and it's convenient, friendly, and easy. Service was excellent.
We loved the redesigned Victory Park Tavern. The live music was a perfect volume to enjoy dinner and conversation. The food was excellent from the Autumn Salad to the Bread Pudding. My water glass was never more than half empty. The hostess, servers and bussers were all very personable and efficient. We had a huge variety of food from burgers to pork chops and all was delicious. We will be returning soon!
First time going and it was DELICIOUS! Had the lobster risotto, clam chowder and muscles. YUM! Service was fantastic, atmosphere welcoming...definitely go again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
First time to this restaurant- menu has great variety. Service was excellent. Generous portions of food- all appropriate temperatures when served & delicious. Warm bread pudding dessert outstanding!
The food was spectacular and the service was as well! So friendly and attentive.
The food and service were excellent but the noise level took away from the evening
Excellent. Went on Wednesday it’s Burger Night and they did look good. My wife and I decided on the Monk fish and Flat Iron Steak. Outstanding cooked perfectly. Appetizer was the eggplant meatballs and dessert was the bread pudding. All I can say is there both as advertised. Simply delicious. Wonderful selection of wines as well. Put this one on your list and go. You won’t be disappointed.
After hearing many good things since the name changed to Victory Park Tavern I finally got a chance to go there. I was not disappointed. Overall I think it is improved in every way. The atmosphere is warmer and more welcoming than before. The food is very good and the menu sufficiently diverse for most tastes. It was a full house on a Saturday night so the live music was a nice touch and the place was certainly enjoyable and alive. One of the owners, Nicole, was very attentive to insure that everything ran smoothly.
I happily recommend VPT to my friends and look forward to my next visit soon. Perhaps I will be back for Burger night on a Wednesday. For those interested in a # rating I guess somewhere between 4 and 5.
Wonderful red haired waiter. 👍🏻☘️
A real keeper !
Everything was amazing from the greeting, our waiter and the food!
Food was fabulous, service outstanding!
Good, casual, fun place to go. We will definitely go back
Great neighborhood gem. Food is always good. The staff always friendly and attentive.
Great experience for a group of parents out for back to school night! Some couples joined last minute and the restaurant was so accommodating and so pleasant about moving tables and accepting new orders. The food is fantastic and so is the service! Our new favorite place in Rumson! The bar scene is fun too!!
Hostess was extremely nice
Great spot. Delicious, interesting food in a mirror casual atmosphere. Good cocktail menu and spit on service.
Excellent meal with great service. The menu could be enhanced
We love the new look and feel a a well as food.
Continue to focus on the steps of service inconsistent from the wait staff long periods of delay between table visits we have been more then once. I am a GM of a hotel and I struggle with the same thing!
Love the new Victory Park!
Food is consistently great.
Service is always friendly.
It’s so nice to have this new addition to the neighborhood!
One of my favorites!
love the atmosphere
service was great
servings were large and delicious, win-win
My meal, brick chicken, was exceptional. As fine as any dish in NYC. Service was friendly and attentive, albeit a bit slow from the kitchen. The new ownership has done an excellent job of redecorating whilst maintaining some of the original charm of the former restaurants legacy. VPT has carved a unique niche for themselves. Exceptional food with a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable pricing. It’s a gem.
Delicious meal & great service. Enjoyed our booth-like table away from noisey bar. Loved my chicken-under-a-brick entree! A little pricey but will definitely come back again.
Have been a constant customer for over 40
Yrs! Almost every Saturday.
It turned over couple of years ago, unfortunately was not satisfactory.
The newest owner/ chef is excellent. There are still servers left from the original. Service is great as always.
Ambiance is probably considered rustic, old library, dark wood look.
It is a local beloved place. Food is creative, lot of specials.
We went with a party of 7 to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. Incredible food, everything we had. Outstanding service from Donna. She was gracious to our challenging group(ages 4months to 86 years), was accommodating, and masterfully guided our decisions. Thank you.
Our booth was cozy and gave us just enough privacy without isolating us. Our server appeared to be overworked and not overly attentive. The food was delicious but took an extremely long time to come out of the kitchen. Couples seated after us received their entrees before we had even received our appetizers. Having said that, the Manager was gracious and apologetic and adjusted our check accordingly. The bar area was hopping with live music that sounded great even in the dining room. We will definitely give Victory Park another try.
Overpriced for what you get! Good drink menu
First time there was Wednesday for burger night. App I shared was the eggplant meatballs, kind of mushy and unique, wouldn't get them again. Ordered the Beyond burger and asked if any GF buns but, unfortunately not. So instead I asked for greens and sautéed onions. Very disappointed, it's a frozen prefab something, tasted deep fried & didn't get any avocado mousse as specified on menu nor did I get the sautéed onion. I did get a slice of raw onion, (yuck), and chopped salad.
Service was prompt, and it's quite loud in the main dining room.
In an area that charges a lot for hospitality but delivers very little, VPC stands out as reliably good food and service.
Favorite neighborhood place.
Restaurant refused to process my Open Table points
Chilean Sea Bass was gelatinous
Lovely presentation on the tuna tartare appetizer--a very generous portion served with cubes of avocado. Definitely recommended. The grilled salmon was excellent--again, accompanied by a creative selection of mixed greens and sprouts. Service was fine and prices were fair. Glad the old bones of What's Your Beef are still present--very comfortable and cozy atmosphere.
love the old What's Your Beef. Love what you have done with the new Victory Park Tavern. Still a nice homey feel. love the open front bar windows
Delicious Lobster risotto with large pieces of lobster.
Service was very good, food was ok. For a family restaurant the price was a bit high. For the money I’d rather go to Angelica’s or Giorgio’ s
