Great old school Italian. Great spot for a group and service was amazing. Best meatball I have had in a while and the bacon fest winning pasta was out of this world.
Excellent restaurant. Great food and service. It seemed like a local neighborhood type restaurant vs franchise type restaurant. Highly recommend
Food was awful. Only one bathroom. Wine was good. Very loud and no seating. I paid $80 for a meal and it tasted like cardboard. The wine was amazing.
My wife and I sat at the bar for dinner on Saturday night, October 12th. Even though it was very busy and crowded at the bar, the bartenders were friendly, attentive and helpful recommending some options for appetizers and dinner. The food was very good and the portions quite large. We will be back.
Bartender Peter was excellent. Provided great service and insight. Very attentive.
The service was not good at all. Although the waiter seemed eager to help us with ordering he did not take ownership of the fact that he got the order wrong. He made it seem like he was doing me a favor by brining us what we ordered. Also the table was not cleaned promptly and we were never given actual dinner dishes. The food was mediocre. The meatballs were the only thing I found to be tasty. I would probably not go back there.
Huge portion sizes
We were sat 45 minutes after our reservation.
A great neighborhood place with solid and delicious Italian food. Great bar to hang for a drink and a pizza!!
Joes meatballs are awesome!!
Delicious and great service!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Large portions and reasonable prices make this restaurant a place to return to.
Eating left overs as i type this. DELISH!!!!!
Great atmosphere with unbelievable food. The staff was amazing as well! Would definitely recommend for a new Italian spot in River North.
$14 for a batch cocktail is pathetic. If u don’t have time to mix them on the spot you should lower the price. We come to your place often but after the lousy manhattans last time we will think again. Please do better so we can return.
Love this place!
Excellent dining experience
Delicious and excellent service!
Great spot in quieter part of river north. Food is amazing along with service and ambience. Calamari or Brussel sprouts are a must along with stuffed shells. Good wine selection and very reasonable. I live nearby and there are a million places to checkout. This is one of the few I go back to.
I love Victory. The staff and management are absolutely wonderful and so is the food.
Gave 3 stars overall because we made a reservation at 3:00pm asking to be seated outside. We showed up 5 mins after 3 to find a table set up ready to go. Only to be told it’s for “people with a reservation” who were inside. I told them we also had a reservation, to which I was met with a big eye roll. They set up another table and we sat 15 mins after our reservation time. They have good food and service. We’ve been there several times and have had no issues before, but they handled my reservation poorly.
We love it here!!
Best part of the meal was the free bread starter. The rest of the food was extremely salty and just ehh.
Group of 15 all in town for wedding. They got the orders straight and separated the bill as promised. Food was wonderful!
Love this place! The staff and manager are great. Food always consistently great.
Our group of 6 all had pasta dishes. 3 enjoyed their meal and 3 did not. One had to send their cold pasta dish back. It was returned hot, but not very tasty. The group consensus was that for the price we could have done better elsewhere.
Food was okay. Service was slow, server was cold/disinterested. There are too many options in Chicago to ever go back.
Love that I found this place in my new neighborhood. Just a short walk away to wonderful Italian food. Highly recommend.
Great experience. Our waiter, Patrick, was wonderful. We’ll be back.
A little far removed from other restaurants but worth the walk. Reasonable value and not overcrowded. Good service and large menu.
We were able to sit outside which was great. The garlic bread served with marinara sauce was actually the best part of the meal. My friend got a pork chop pounded so thin it covered the whole plate. It was dry and boring. I got the veal parm. It too was pounded thin and covered the whole plate. It too was dry and boring. It definitely needed more sauce. Neither came with a side of pasta...which I now see according to the online menu it should have and would have helped the dry meat. I would rather have a smaller portion and better quality.
Service was ok. Our waiter appeared distracted by another table of four women who evidently knew the owner. Maybe otherwise he would have noticed we didn’t get a our sides or gotten our wine without having to flag him down.
There are so many really good Italian places in the city the only reason I might come back is location. If I do I would stay away from the meat dishes and try their pasta.
The server was not good tonight, usually they are.
Jason, Oscar, and Billy are top notch! Food, service. And drinks were all outstanding. Don’t pass this place up!!
Gnats! Lots of gnats. All over bar. You probably can’t see if you sit on the long portion of the bar. But if you sit in the corner portion against the wall as we did you would run. They were on the bottles, wall, the picture frames and flying around our drinks. When we left we told the manager and he said he knew and they were cleaning Sunday. That’s 4 days away. I would have people staying late to fix that problem.
Food was AMAZING!
Patrick, our server, was great! The food was delicious and I can't wait for my next visit!
Food was delicious and the service was impeccable! Looking forward to eating at Victory Italian again soon!
Too much food.
Service was too friendly and attentive.
I may not return - until tomorrow!
Yummy food great service a little louder than expected like real loud
Arrived for our 7 o'clock reservation but table not ready till after 7:30. Manager Josh was very responsive. Kept us updated and set up an additional table outside for us. Our waiter Carlos, was friendly, fun and professional. The free garlic bread will keep you coming back though we did not get a bowl of marinara with the 2nd plate. The Apple Salad was delicious. Split the stuffed shells which were great. Few complaints about Salmon Vesuvio (peas under cooked). Great classic old school menu in a casual classic Italian restaurant setting. Noise level a little high inside, but hard to find a restaurant that isn't.
