    POOR FOOD RATIING / ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE! My husband and I were excited to be dining at the newly renovated Victor's Steak & Seafood. The atmosphere is great, our server was very friendly, yet professional and did a great job... but we have to give the food poor rating. We both ordered different fish dishes which arrived with way too many vegetables / could have been cut in half. Our waiter explained the delay in our meals due to the size of salmon on one dish that as he put it "looked like a child's portion so he asked the Chef to prepare am adult size portion. To that end, by the time our meals were served they were not hot... only tepid and flavors were lacking!! Especially at $40 per meal. We have no intentions of going back to Victor's.

    My wife and I dined at Victor’s during our trip to Charleston. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the various meals on the menu. The Lobster roll and shrimp were excellent appetizers. For the entree’s I got the Halibut and my wife got the filet. Both were top notch. We will definitely dine there when we visit Charleston again.

    The waiter recommended the pork chops. They were a great recommendation. My date ordered the steak which was cooked to perfection!! The Midnight in Paris was a delicious drink!! I just wish it was a larger serving. It was definitely that good!! The ambience was nice upscale. I would highly recommend you try them out.

    Ordered the Bison, Clams Casino and Oysters Rockefeller. Our server told us that the Bison was no good so we chose to get the Lobster Roll instead. The Clams were big and did not taste fresh at all. Gross. Oysters were made with cream cheese and uneatable. The Lobster was overcooked and dry and flavorless. My daughter's steak and mashed potatoes were good. The lobster bisque had no lobster, but crab meat instead and was not hot. Very disappointing. Our server Jeremy however, was great.

    Our waiter was 5 stars had bison and clams casino for appetizers, clams a little undercooked but tastey. Entrees were ribeyes and filets both on point. Sides were asparagus, twice baked ,potatoes, green beans, mushrooms all very good. Finally we had 1 of every dessert, consensus was 4 stars with the taramisu getting 5.

    Food was good, not spectacular but good. Service was bad. Very inattentive, never removed a single plate from the table. From the bread basket, to app dishes to entree to desert. Table was stacked with dishes. Saw the waiter about 4 times the whole night. We ran out of water. There were only two other tables eating when we arrived so they were not busy. And we were seated directly next to one of the other couples with an empty restaurant. Very disappointed, taking my wife out for her birthday, picked a high end restaurant hoping to make it special only to be ignored.

    I would have given this restaurant a 2, however, the young man who waited on my wife and I was great! First, the food was a little bland for my taste. My wife ordered the seared ahi tuna. It has absolutely no flavor. There was a sauce included, however it too had no flavor. I ordered a tomato salad, but even with pesto, the salad was bland. Finally, I ordered a ribeye. The steak was tender at the medium temperature, but again, the flavor was missing. Aside from the very nice young man who waited on us, we were impressed with the drinks. I had an old fashion with a splash of orange juice and wifey had the rodeo queen drink that was delicious. Very nice place...just need to work on the "flavor."

    Our waiter was fabulous but the food runners were horrible. They just dropped the plates on the table. They bought a piece of cake to the table without a fork. The prime ribs looked like a Salisbury steak and definitely didn't taste like a prime rib. Truly a disappointment. We will definitely not be returning which is a shame because the venue is beautiful

    Hostess interaction, best part. Server was covering from another business and said didn't know menu. Same two steak dishes seasoned different, one w/ barely or no seasoning. Additional servers didn't know what sides came w/ meal saying again work for another business. Original server said bar had draft beer issues and barely recommended another beer. Asked about another round and never brought. Had trouble breaking checks for six up. Manager advised and did nothing, but willing listened. Live here and won't go back or go to the business associated w/ it.

    I got the catch of the day which was a tiny piece of fish smothered in a tasteless cream sauce on top of tasteless polenta and a piece of broccoli rabe so covered I couldn’t find it. My husband had the ribeye which was thin but I thought had a good taste. He was not impressed. Service and ambiance was good. Waste of money in a city that has great food.

    OysterRockefeller was excellent. We split a wedge salad which was pretty good. Steak was above average. Wife had lobster roll. Plenty of lobster but was on a hotdog bun. Beautiful restaurant but food didn’t overwhelm.

    We came here for a date night on our honeymoon and the restaurant far exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic. The food was 10/10. The service was amazing. Definitely recommend!

    The restaurant has the potential to be great given it’s location, building, decoration and menu. However, I felt like they didn’t pick the best ingredients to justify their price. Oysters were tiny and with no flavor for example. Steaks were too salty. Service was disappointing. They need to invest more on ingredients and service. There are steakhouses just around the corner that charge the same price point but are much better so Victors need to catch up to that level of quality in order to keep charging the same.

    Asked for a booth, was told by the hostess she cant put a two top in a booth. And that they were going to be full. They shoved me in the corner. I complained to the waiter but still nothing was done. Throughout the experience I watch the hostess set two tops in every both across from my nook of a corner. Figured it was out of spite. Restaurant was never at capacity either. The waiter was great. I gave him my card without looking at the bill. Accidently swiped my card on a 200 dollar bill of someone elses. Luckily i caught it and he corrected it. Tipped 40 on 130. I got the surf and turf and made it oscar style hands down the absolute best meal I have had in quite some time. My wife had a filet so tender you could eat it if you had no teeth.

    Best lobster bisque ever! One of the few places in CHS with prime rib…cut then re-seasoned for a crust on all sides. Our server Dash couldn’t have been better. Friends have already made reservations to visit!

    Not all it was cracked up to be. Food was good but not for the price. Service was...fine. Didn't see our waiter much. Food came from a bunch of kids that didn't know who got what. Just seemed less than what I have come to expect from steakhouses.

    A pretty awesome experience. Food was great, quick and efficient. Service was spot on. It was cool to meet the General Manager and learn the history of the beautiful building. A must try in downtown Charleston. Will definitely return

    We liked the ambiance a lot, the wedge salad was good and the lobster bisque was delicious even though it had chucks of crab instead of lobster. Clams casino, steak and twice baked potato were just ok. Service was poor. They never came back to see if we needed anything and dirty dishes were in front of us until we left. I had to stop and ask for a glass of wine twice before I received it.

    We were extremely disappointed - we made our reservations based on the posted restaurant week menu and then when we got there the menu was completely different. They would not honor the original posted menu. The service was also extremely slow - it took half an hour to get our first drink after we ordered it, we had to ask if we could please order our entrees after the starters came out and she still hadn’t taken our entree order, and the whole meal went like this - dinner for four took two and a half hours because of the service. We were really disappointed in this restaurant all the way around.
