Situated in The Queens Hotel, Victoria’s restaurant offers British flavours combined with an international flair to create a range of mouth-watering dishes. A hidden gem in the heart of Cheltenham, Victoria’s is the perfect spot for brunch, a leisurely lunch, indulgent afternoon tea or a decadent dinner.

Head Chef Simon has crafted a selection of delicious menus using seasonal and locally sourced produce, working closely with neighbouring independent suppliers, growers and farmers to bring the best flavours of the Cotswolds, ensuring dishes are bursting with quality flavours. You will find many vintages of Woodchester Valley wines on the menu, based in the Cotswolds it is rated as one of the best Sauvignon Blancs in the world.

Dishes change seasonally to ensure the best procedure is used. Current speciality dishes include a Bombay butty and a poached fillet of salmon with a shellfish and mussel risotto. Do not miss the signature rich chocolate marquise to finish your meal.

    A Night to Remember at The Victoria, Cheltenham Ohhh it was lovely , truly, honestly, heartwarmingly lovely. We celebrated my best friend Lynn’s birthday dinner at The Victoria, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From start to finish, it felt like we were wrapped in a big, beautiful hug of good food, warmth, and kindness. The ambience? Soft lighting, elegant charm, and just the right level of calm, classy without feeling stiff, cosy without feeling crowded. We walked in and instantly felt like we belonged there. Now the food… where do I begin? Every single dish was a dream. Beautifully plated, full of flavour, and made with so much care. You could taste the love in every bite. We kept looking at each other like, “Is this real?” It was that good. Lynn was beaming the whole time, and as her best friend, seeing her so happy made me feel so proud. She deserved a beautiful evening, and The Victoria gave her that and more. And let’s talk about the staff, so friendly, so thoughtful, and so genuine. They treated us like we mattered, and made Lynn feel like a queen on her special day. Little touches like that stay with you. If you’re thinking of going, don’t hesitate. Whether it’s a special occasion or a quiet night out, The Victoria makes moments feel magical. We’ll be back, with full hearts and hungry stomachs. ❤️

    I was up from London and decided to try this restaurant out for a Saturday lunch here with my daughters and a friend. One of the best decisions I could have made! I have to say I was SO impressed with everything about Victoria’s! Courteous, smiling, and well-trained staff. So many restaurants nowadays feel as though they‘ve just hired people off the street that same day, and there’s no training at all. The food was beautifully presented, and was absolutely delicious and it was all at a reasonable price. Lovely surroundings with live music in the garden. We were all so impressed. Relaxing and so enjoyable. Perfect! Please, please don’t change a thing! Don’t do what so many other places have done, and give up attention to detail! Keep hiring the high standard of staff that you have now. Whatever you’re doing is working wonderfully well and we will definitely be back!!!

    We dined at Victoria’s last night and had a lovely experience, the food was delicious and reasonable priced. The whole experience was made even more enjoyable by the fact the young male that serves us was so attentive and friendly, can hands down stay the customer experience was one of the nicest we had experienced in a long time when dining. Also there was no rush between courses so you were allowed to make an evening of it and take your time to throughout relax into it.

    Firstly the positive - we were originally booked for 4pm but one of our party was running late (she was travelling from Cornwall and the M5 was shut in various places) so I called and ask if our booking could be postponed. The member of staff I spoke to was very understanding and accommodating, they spoke to the kitchen, and it was agreed that we could postpone to 4.30pm which we were grateful for. The staff in Victorias were also very kind and polite, particularly our waitress (I unfortunately did not get her name). However, I was quite disappointed with the afternoon tea itself. I required a gluten and dairy free afternoon tea. Before booking I emailed to check that it could be accommodated, and I had a reply that it could be. When I booked online I also included the required for one GF/DF afternoon in the notes. When we arrived and we ordered our teas I mentioned it once again and was told that was fine. A little later a member of staff let me know that scones couldn’t be made both GF and DF so instead they could provide me with extra cakes. I said this was fine. However when it arrived, the tower had: 4 sandwich quarters A pot of jam and pot of what looked liked dairy free cream, but nothing to accompany them. 1 small carrot cake 1 small coconut mango (I think) rice dish A small bowl of strawberries I said to the waiter that the tower looked like it was lacking something. Compared to the regular afternoon tea tower it had considerably less food on. He disappeared and came back with 2 more of the mini carrot cakes. I feel that this is a disappointing spread of food, for a kitchen which had expressly said it could accommodate these dietary requirements. I understood why the scones were a challenge, but I expected to receive a selection of cakes instead, not just 3 of the same one. And why plate up the jam and cream with nothing scones to go with them?

    An excellent Sunday lunch with the option of 'proper' starters and dessert which for me adds a lot to the experience and were very good. Quality and quantity of the food was good. There is a reasonable wine list at typical restaurant prices. It is a very comfortable room and layout with the only slight drawback for two of the guests was having sun in their faces from the lantern roof light for part of the meal. One of our party would have preferred the service to have been a bit quicker but I enjoyed the relaxed pace as we were not in a hurry. Staff were all pleasant and attentative. I will definitely be back when I fancy a bit special Sunday Lunch.

    Booked the afternoon tea in the garden by mistake. We were given a table indoors and table set for lunch asap. Everyone was friendly especially Vanessa who did everything to make sure our we had a great time entertaining our guests from New Zealand. Everyone enjoyed the food so would recommend.

    We shared the watermelon poke bowl - fabulous, Crab spring rolls- needed some veg inside maybe, & hummus& tzatziki with pita- pita was a bit dry. All together a good lite meal. Highly recommend the watermelon poke. Wait staff was extremely nice & accommodating. Lovely room with very large windows.
