Had a good dinner at The Victor although a bit expensive . Beautiful decor and huge patio that will be nice in the summer.
The brussels sprout are amazing and were my favourite part of dinner.
Steak was terrible and very expensive. Waiter kept screwing up our order. Ambience was good. Appies were decent. Wouldn’t go back for dinner but possibly for drinks and a snack
Having signs out that says restaurant this way will be helpful next time for people that don't know where they are going. The front receptionist was quite rude and asked us to leave while it became closer to our reservation time. Which was 9 minutes! Our waiter would walk away in the middle of us asking him questions to go wait on other tables at the same time. I asked him for a non alcoholic drink and his response was no to Sprite and suggested me to have a moscow mule. My friend made it quite clear that's not what I wanted and told him to bring he a Sprite. Overall the food was great but the service wasn't the best experience.
Very good entertainment here. My Valentine’s date and I enjoyed watching an oversized sugar daddy collapse on the tiny chair he was sitting on while out on a romantic date with his thotiana. I felt bad for the man when he was trying to get up after this first fall because, yes, he fell a second time trying to get up. The waiters and servers acted like nothing happened which made the scene even more funnier. Eventually a manager comes over and try to seat this man in a bigger, more sturdier looking chair. The man was frustrated at this point and wanted to leave. The manager saved his restaurant from being sued by offering a free meal and changing his dining table to a booth which was better situated for the oversized sugar daddy. Bravo, Victor!
Food was absolutely delicious and brought out in a very timely manner. The service was also amazing
Overall, the Victor was an excellent place to enjoy Valentines Day. Food was very good. Service was excellent. Daniel was a fantastic server. Understandably food was a little slow due to the high volume, the manager made sure to come over, let us know and provide us with a lil appetizer to curb our hunger. Wasn’t a huge fan of the live band they had, hard to control the sound and often found myself unable to hear my partner. Would recommend to friends and family and will be back.
Food was average. Service was poor. Took way to long from order to food arrival. Waiter was inattentive. Too bad, had been looking forward to dining here for a long time.
Bathroom had no paper towel. Soap dispenser didn’t work. Water all over counter.
These things are not what I would expect at this level.
The ambiance at Victor was energetic. The food quality did not reflect the high prices. For a steakhouse, the flavour and cut of meat wasn't very good. We asked for med rare, but ribeye steak was dry/overdone, and the crust on my filet mignon made it tougher than other places I've tried. It also fell apart and had a lot of membrane. Note the bread was the best party of our meal.
It was my wife's Birthday so we were hoping for something very special. We were seated at a very nice table and the hostess acknowledged my wife's birthday when we 1st arrived. Our waiter was very informative when he 1st greeted us and we ordered our food. Unfortunately we did not see much of our waiter once we ordered. Food was overall very good but our baked potato was not hot at all. Steak was really good. Unfortunately, I was hoping that they would do something special for my wifes birthday ,maybe a little piece of pastry with a candle but nothing at all. Very disappointing!
Sunday brunch with a friend and it was lovely. The place was loud with people and live music at brunch so if you are looking for a quiet corner tucked away make a request with your reservation. We’ll be back for brunch again, lovely rooftop scene and great service.
What an awesome dining experience, from food to service we were greatly impressed. The menu is seafood and steak focused with the freshest ingredients sourced. We will return again to try other things on the menu.
They knew it was our anniversary and yet sat us right beside the bus service, terrible. We moved to a way better table of our choice. The waitress didn’t poor us a taste of the bottle of wine we ordered and we had to ask for fresh glasses. It took over an hour for our entrees to arrive, very poor. And my husbands steak wasn’t good. And they served grilled jalapeños on the side of my steak, weird, way to spicy & very strange. The broccolini was way over cooked and way over spiced. We sent it back. The bread was yummy and the oysters were very good. Overall disappointing and over priced. We would not go back or recommend it.
It was great food, our main waiter was good, athough he had a lot of tables in his section. The front of house staff were newer and did not take care to make sure that our scarves were put with our coats and we waited 10 minutes upon leaving for scarf to be located, luckily we were not late for our show, but it was very careless, especially when my aunt had specifically asked that the scarf be put on he same hangar as the coat. Very large portions of entree's will know not to order so much next time.
Great service, great atmosphere. I had the steak with prawns. Probably the best steak I have ever had. My wife had the lamb and she loved it. Server and host were amazing. Will go back forsure.
Went out for date night with my husband. Just walking up to the restaurant is pretty itself. Really nice friendly staff. Service was fantastic. Food is amazing. If you like a great steak this is the place to go. All our dishes we had were so tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back !
Whole experience was great! Service was excellent. Food was amazing. The cotton candy cream donuts were amazing. The entrance to the restaurant is lovely with the open air & the water feature. I will go back
What an amazing experience at Victor... my bf and i loved the atmosphere and friendly service. The food came out in a timely manner and every dish was PERFECTION!!! Great Hostess + Servers + others. That japanese milk caramelized onion bread was to die for. Loved all the dishes we ordered...Thank you very much Victor ❤
Food was great and atmosphere was amazing with an spectacular view of downtown the service was lacking, she was very dull, and not friendly, and no personality what so ever, it was like having a robot serve us. The worst part was she forgot our food, apologized and continued to serve us poorly. I would come back for sure but next time have a more lively server.
A great venue. Food and service are both exceptionally. The onion and cheese bread is out of this world.
Excellent service and my steak was done to perfection!
Will be back, it was a great experience!!
Brunch was absolutely excellent. We booked again this week for dinner. Impressive!
Birthday dinner - food was amazing, service was great, and the Mac and cheese waffles were very memorable. Definitely will be coming back!
Incredible meal. Will definitely visit again. The food, the service and the atmosphere were outstanding.
Our dinner was a first class experience. Great location with the park, outstanding service and food that was perfectly cooked and presented. Will be returning again!
Great environment, delicious food and awesome service. Perfect place for a date night! My husband and I had a wonderful time!
The dessert seems like it’s a slab of cake from Safeway and they just cut it up and served it to you.
Vancouver's steak house a must try.
Great energy after 8pm
We went for Dine Out, and I paid extra for the Fois Gras appetizer option. The fois gras dish was very delicious and well-balanced. However, I felt my steak for the main course was very hard, so hard to the point my whole table was shaking when I tried to slice it. I immediately pointed out to my server if it was indeed medium-rare, which he confirmed it was (due to it is still slightly pinkish in the center). He quickly walked away and didn't offer much explanation to why the outer surface was extremely hard to cut into... I felt that was disappointing, as I couldn't really enjoy my steak without bypassing its "exoskeleton shell" T_T. The dessert was creative: chocolate mouse inside a dark chocolate shell. Again, it was difficult to crack the shell and eat it with the dessert spoon. This experience had me wonder if the restaurant really prefers their hard shells.
Appetizers were very good, steak main course was excellent, and chocolate dessert was delicious
Dine out Perfection! The meal was absolutely divine! Steak was done to order and the Menke cake was to die fie! Service was excellent! Will return for regular menu!
There’s a small wait before we got the table. Ordered the King Salmon, it’s good. The Men
Anniversary night for my wife and I, we were seated on the main runway of the restaurant so it was very loud, but I believe it would have been noisy anywhere. They forgot to print the message on my wife’s desert dish that I had filled out on the web site. I had the rib cap as the menu said it was their favorite. They should leave it on the rib, bland. My wife had the filet mignon special, now that was great. Brussels sprouts were over cooked and over salted but not bad. Waiter dropped the ball a couple of times, forgot my drink order and was taking my bread knife and delicious butter away before I was finished with it. Oh well, with 2 beers and a glass of wine $170.00 . I would recommend getting to that rooftop in the summertime for cocktails for sure.
Excellent service, very friendly staff. The salmon was a bit salty, but steak and risotto were perfect!! Loved the dessert too.
Overpriced menu, burned steak, crowded . The salmon was cooked properly, but almost no accompanying sides, three extremely tiny potato pieces, not enough to offset the dish.
The service, food, and wine selection were exemplary. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
It was great!
We tried the dine out menu for our date night and it was definitely a great choice. The ambience was great and we loved all the cocktails we tried with our meal. The waiter and all the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their menu which made the dining experience much merrier. We would love to go back for another date night in the future.
My boyfriend and I came here for Dine Out Vancouver on a weekday evening. The restaurant has a rich, old-school vibe which I really enjoyed. We were both surprised to see they had sushi on the menu, so being sushi fiends, of course we had to try some! We had the miso salmon and albacore tuna aburi, both were decent. The lobster bisque had just a morsel of lobster and I found the dish was a tad salty. The Delmonico ribeye (8 oz) was tender and flavourful, as were the accompanying veggies and whipped potatoes. For dessert we had Menke's cake (coconut) and chocolate mousse. The chocolate mousse came with lovely gold flakes and was very, very chocolatey, which isn't necessarily a bad thing! It was quite a busy night as we noticed a crowd forming at the door shortly after we arrived but the service was still excellent. Our server Ken was polite and attentive to our needs. My boyfriend and I had a great time and we'd love to visit again.
