Worst service ever got in a restaurant . Never ever complained the service to the manager in a restaurant until this time, but what we got is only “I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do.” And it’s a famous upscale restaurant! Really unbelievable.
As always our evening at The Victor was amazing !!!
Service was outstanding, our waiter was great, very knowledgeable and attentive.
It was our Anniversary !
We tried the petite filet mignon, it was cooked to perfection and my husband tried the Salmon filet, according to him a great decision.
Went there for my husband‘s birthday dinner. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the overall decor of the restaurant was very nice. Started with steak tartare which was excellent. The entrées were pretty good but not out of the park good. We had a fish and a steak. The fish was a bit on the salty side. The Japanese milk bread they served at the start was addictive. Overall price was as expected for a restaurant of this level.
Striploin was chewy. Amazing service
Our server was good and so was the meal. Great cocktails. just missing the small things that would make it great. There are proper tools for removal of crumbs from the table. More attentive assistants to main server.
Great food, excellent service. Kinda wonky to get to the front door, but pretty once there!
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and we got a great deal from the Sunday Spoils menu, but neither of us were blown away by the food. It was good, just not exceptional. The service was okay, the ambiance was quite nice but the music did not fit the vibe at all. From photos and marketing on their website, we were expecting more classy and romantic music, however our evening was slightly ruined by the super loud techno music which ended up giving both of us a terrible headache. On top of the bad music, the service was really slow. Overall, it was nice, but didn’t meet our expectations.
The dessert was a little bit disappointed to have donut and cotton candy, wonder if there would be something else not the feeling to dine at Tim Horton.
Great food, great experience
Happy to go to Victor... We haven't gone for almost 2 years! We sat on the same table! Thank you for the amazing food and service!
Ambient and table seating was beautifully chosen to celebrate my mom's milestone birthday. The food was delicious, will be returning to try other menu items. Surrendra was our amazing host for the night, really appreciate his knowledge to help us pair our wine, appies, and side with our main course.
The victor has done a terrible job trying to completely pack the restaurant. Service was terrible and we were at a table in the middle of the walkway. Took 1.25 hours to get our food delivered. Then they forgot the sides and we received those halfway through our main course (and nothing was adjusted from a price point to apologize). Would not recommend until they improve their logistics
1-Very limited time at table for dinners
3-Expensive food compare to the quality of food
4-Long time for preparation food
All and all very disappointed from the food , service and communication of a guy who was named Nikhil Kumar that should learn how to respect customers and I never ever will go to this restaurant and will not recommend to anybody!
It was good- humble and polite waiter
- Poor service - we waited for 20 min for the bill and the server did not check on us even once during the entire dinner.
- The tomahawk was cold inside. It was already sliced when served and you can tell it has been sitting in the kitchen for a while before it is served (prob due to the restaurant was understaffed).
- live music was way too loud and it’s hard to have a conversation.
- the restaurant was good during covid but I would not visit the restaurant again.
Love the Victor! Our server Mathew was amazing! Will be back again!
Always amazing food, ambiance and service. Great place.
The food was delicious and ambience at The Victor was well done.
Despite this, we were surprised at the how the staff handled an incident we had. One of the other servers dropped a container of gravy and other sauces which got all over my sister’s and dad’s shoes…
I was surprised there wasn’t any reparations or acknowledgement of the situation from the staff or management. I understand that it this must have been an anomalous situation, but we were quite disappointed at how it was handled!
Server was excellent so was the food
4 in our group. We shared the burrata and crab cake appetizers which came with the cheese and onion bread. Best crab cake ever. The bread is delicious. 3 in our group ordered steaks, center cut, flat iron, and petit filet mignon, all of which were excellent. I had the sablefish which has sea asparagus on the side. So delicious. We also had the Black Forest cake, unbelievably fresh and homemade tasting, enough for 4 to enjoy. We had a Chef in our group and he was really impressed with everything. Our server was attentive and professional. A slight mistake on the bill was promptly corrected.
Halibut was overcooked, service was good only in terms of personality of our server- our drinks to be timed with dinner only came near the end of our meal which was disappointing and it was challenging to flag someone down. Drinks were the highlight, cocktails were tasty and a good wine selection
Unfortunately one of the wait staff had body odour that took away from the experience and food. Would definitely recommend management to discuss appropriate hygiene.
Always enjoyed Victor. I personally find the confirmation calls a little annoying though. Wish we can simply confirm via text messages instead.
Great Food and Great Atmosphere! The General Manager came over to check on us and was very kind and gave me her card for the up coming Wine Dinners
Had the striploin steak with asparagus and sashimi - it was delicious. Great venue, great ambience, great service, delicious food. Phil was the server and he was super kind, empathic, courteous and very easy to get along!
The food and service is good except the noise making it not a five star restaurant.
Excellent service and great food. Thank you.
Great atmosphere, great drinks , but maybe the bar was super busy as it was a wait for drinks . Food great but halibut alittle overcooked.
Lovely atmosphere and our server Bridget was warm and knowledgeable. They take great care to make dining here a special event.
The food was great the waiter was knowledgeable about the food, the steak was over cooked, the table beside us sent there’s back, we ate it. The only issue was not that big of a deal. Will be going back again.
We loved our visit! The service beyond outstanding and attentive. The food was incredible and delicious. Will definitely be back!
Really amazing food, and overall a fun time
Great service considering the B
C staff shortage situation
Most starter dishes we had were fantastic , steak the main event came out cold ! Had to send it back , that was the only let down
Amazing experience. Flawless dinner. Thank you.
Pros=tasty food at a reasonable price
Host was welcoming
Cons=waitress could be more informed about wine selection
Seated in a section that made us feel tucked away from all the other guests.
