Beautiful setting. Food was sub par for the price. Sushi was good. Ambiance is great.
The Victor was fantastic, a great atmosphere and ambiance. We sat in the lounge and Jill looked after us very well. We were celebrating a family birthday, and her attention to detail really made the night. Food was great.
Service was incredible
Amazing venue prior to any concert or special event!
We absolutely loved it. James, our waiter, was great and even surprised my Mom with candles for her birthday. (We hadn't mentioned it. Kudos.) We were running late but the chef okayed the happy hour set menu and it was delicious. We will be back. Thank you.
Atmosphere was great, however we were seated at an awkward area very close to another couple. We were expecting to have an intimate dinner but the other table was just an arms reach away and could hear their conversation. Our server was not the best as he kept mixing up our orders and his comedy was not suitable. Food was great but overall food and drinks were high in price in comparison to other fine dining restaurants.
Excellent food and service. Will be back for sure.
Had a good experience, we requested Jill to serve us but unfortunately she couldn’t serve us in the dining room, however she still came over and made us feel extremely welcome and added to the experience. We come every week and would love to see her in the dining room so we can have our favourite server serve us. Richard was also super great and gave great service
If it isn’t already this will be the best restaurant in the City. A mad men vibe with a back drop of our City’s lights this is contemporary perfection. And that’s just the space. Chef Kim outdoes himself. Our table of four enjoyed about about a dozen shared plates that Kristian graciously walked us through. We sampled cocktails, the wine, coffee etc.....Chic surf and turf - every dish was absolutely delicious. That’s all there is to say. We will be back. Kristian your effort did not go unnoticed! Thank you for such a lovely evening with some old friends. Impeccable!
I frequent here because the food is great and I like the location.
The real wasabi is what made their sushi truly outstanding, as well as their foie gras and steak were both cooked perfectly and were so tender. The whiskey cake had a beautiful presentation as well as amazing flavour.
One of my lady friends and I had a lovely dinner at the Victor for my birthday. I had the petit filet mignon which was cooked perfectly for my tastes. Over all I really enjoyed my whole dinner. My friend had the centre cut sirloin which she found on the tough side. The restaurant did not charge her for the steak however. We had a small table which was a bit too small to hold all the dishes we found. The service was excellent and the ambience very nice however. I would go to the Victor again.
Always like the place. Most food are great on the menu. Lots wine and cocktails selection
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great service, food in a relaxing and classy atmosphere. Unique.
The food was great but the service was amazing!!
Went for the Sunday brunch. The chicken and waffles were so good!!! And I loved the nutella flavored whipped cream that came with the French toast.
THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME AT THE VICTOR. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE WERE ALL AMAZED AT THE SERVICE. THERE WERE AS MANY AS TEN PEOPLE WORKING OUR TABLE OF 5 AND EVERYTHING WAS GREAT FROM THE ENTRY POINT TO LEAVING. GREAT SEAFOOD PLATTERS. STEAKS AND SALADS WERE EXCELLENT. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!!!
One of the best steaks I’ve had in a while, cooked perfectly just the right amount as I had asked. Delicious food and lovely service. Will be back again soon for a birthday celebration; delicious
The restaurant is headache pounding loud with synth pop music playing at high decibel volumes. We had to yell to hear each other across the table. The two top next to us both sat together on the cushion side so they could hear each other.
The food is a miss too. My husband's seafood grill was unseasoned and the shrimp were rubber. The lobster bisque is...odd. The macaroni and cheese waffles are over the top and not in a good way. The mashed potatoes were $10 and maybe measured a single 1 cup measuring cup, they were also virtually unseasoned as well. The only item we did order that was exceptional was my filet mignon, it was perfectly cooked and delicious.
It is a place to look cool and be seen with a club pounding atmosphere. It's not a place to enjoy a fine dinner with conversation.
We were told we they needed the table in 15 min after being at the restaurant for 1.5 hours. Maybe if my beer didn’t arrive near the end of my meal and during it, I would have been done sooner? Food is good but most decent restaurants don’t rush their guest like this.
Food was amazing. Waiter was nice but service was too fast, felt like we were rushed. Food was taken away too fast.
I had a terrific dining experience with my colleague. The service was excellent and the food was superb.
I would definitely be back and recommend The Victor. It would be one of my top choices now to bring clients and associates.
We have been to Victor about a dozen times and it is one of our favourite Vancouver restaurants. The crab cake is amazing, and my wife's go to dish is the Branzino.
Our server was pleasant and professional. The bread was delicious. The seafood platter and dessert was to die for.
Great drinks, great food, great service. Not my first time and won’t be my last.
The server we had was not personable.
I personally believe a server's job is to enhance the dinning experience rather than facilitate the order taking and food delivery.
I forgot to bring my stuff on the table. I will be coming to picked them up on Monday after 7 pm.
Thank you !
Traveling to a new city. This was a perfect experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. Ask for Richard or Rio. They are both excellent, knowledgeable servers. You will not be disappointed. Money well spent! The wine and steak and desserts were outstanding!
Traveling to Vancouver for the first time. Just the two of us. Amazing service, selection and ambiance. We love wine and the red wine selections were amazing! Ask for Vivik or Richard.
Great service, fun & lively atmosphere , the food was excellent - very nice that the gm at restaurant and talking with guests! Can’t wait to go back!
Christian at the bar took good care of us and the food was good as usual. A great supper spot before we attend Canuck games.
We were asked to leave our table as another bigger party was coming in. We were rushed from the beginning.
The food was unbelievable! Every single item was decadent. Service was so good. Our waiter was I believe from the UK I forgot his name but a lovely gentleman.
Had a good dinner at The Victor although a bit expensive . Beautiful decor and huge patio that will be nice in the summer.
The brussels sprout are amazing and were my favourite part of dinner.
Steak was terrible and very expensive. Waiter kept screwing up our order. Ambience was good. Appies were decent. Wouldn’t go back for dinner but possibly for drinks and a snack
Beautiful modern restaurant with good ambience. Service started off on a sour note when the waiter asked us if we would like tap, still or sparkling water. We said tap was fine. He then mentioned it 3 times before leaving the table, as though tap water was beneath him. The menu was explained in such a way that the wines by the glass were "okay, not the best", however, the wines on the next page were much better - and of course, approximately $25-40 a glass. We are knowledgeable wine drinkers, we do understand the value of wine and the over-pricing of it as well. I decided not to let his snobbish attitude ruin my dinner, and played along. The foie gras appetizer and the crab cake were outstanding! The main, high end boneless rib eye - mediocre at best. Tender, but no crust and not a lot of flavor. The sides as well were mediocre. The brocolini was far to spicy and the fries (that take 3 days to make, according to our snobby waiter) were lukewarm and limp. So, I'm not eager to go back. If I did, I may sit at the bar, have that crab cake and order the burger - which I hear it very good - and have one of those "okay" glasses of wine.
Having signs out that says restaurant this way will be helpful next time for people that don't know where they are going. The front receptionist was quite rude and asked us to leave while it became closer to our reservation time. Which was 9 minutes! Our waiter would walk away in the middle of us asking him questions to go wait on other tables at the same time. I asked him for a non alcoholic drink and his response was no to Sprite and suggested me to have a moscow mule. My friend made it quite clear that's not what I wanted and told him to bring he a Sprite. Overall the food was great but the service wasn't the best experience.
Our server was super friendly and ambiance was nice/ we tried several things and most was average except for the ribeye. It was inedible- literally-I spit it out and never do that. We asked for med rare and it came back well done- sent it back- came back out even more done than the first time. Took a bite hoping it was good flavor but wasn’t edible. They did take off the bill and offer very nicely something else but we had to go to a concert. I would def go again but for drinks only. Super cool place.
Very good entertainment here. My Valentine’s date and I enjoyed watching an oversized sugar daddy collapse on the tiny chair he was sitting on while out on a romantic date with his thotiana. I felt bad for the man when he was trying to get up after this first fall because, yes, he fell a second time trying to get up. The waiters and servers acted like nothing happened which made the scene even more funnier. Eventually a manager comes over and try to seat this man in a bigger, more sturdier looking chair. The man was frustrated at this point and wanted to leave. The manager saved his restaurant from being sued by offering a free meal and changing his dining table to a booth which was better situated for the oversized sugar daddy. Bravo, Victor!
