Been here before but went for dineout, as it was a good deal! Food was pretty good but not like our usual experience. My regular angus steak was better than my gfs +$18 fillet, which was a little disappointing. The chocolate tart was good but a little too sweet, though i finished it anyways! Ended up ordering sushi as well as the portions were small from dineout (kind of expected) but the bill ended up being about equal as usual.
Dine out experience - it was crowded and noisy
Service was great! Went for dine out and thoroughly enjoyed. The server recommended the chicken and it was amazing!!!
Chicken was undercooked. The steak lacked seasoning. I’m fact we got sick after eating here.
My dish was good and all the appetizers but the steak which they are known for was only mediocre. My father said Cactus’s steak taste better which is a shame because I booked this restaurant for my father’s birthday for him to try their steak. The server was superb though.
Everything is good. Ribeye and Short Rib are excellent but my lobster bisque soup portion is too little.
Enjoy very much.
The dessert choice is limit , only 2 choice ( usually have 3 choice for DOV at other restaurant) , pay extra get upgrade to other food , so total cost no difference if dine out in regularly base
The dessert not just limit choice , is not good at all , if I have choice I prefer just have a regular coffee instead of dessert
BTW the waitress did not ask us want coffee or tea at all , right after we almost finish the dessert , bill at front
Fabulous meal; caesar salad exceptional
Overall I loved my first time at The Victor. Each team member working with us always made sure we had everything and that everything was ok. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this restaurant.
Our service was booked for 1:00. After being seated, by 2:30 we still had only eaten the first course. No waiter came up to check on us, and we later found out after asking that the kitchen had misplaced our ticket. Because of this, we had to buy another parking ticket since we didn't expect the service to take over 2 hours for 3 courses.
Ate here with my parents and sister during Dine Out Vancouver. The food was just as good as when it's not during Dine Out. Our server was super friendly and was never gone for too long. It took a little longer than expected to get our meals but it was well worth the wait. On Sundays they have live music and we got to enjoy the musician while we had our brunch. Overall would recommend coming here for brunch (especially on Sundays)
Lovely brunch, would go again. They even have a candy bar at the entrance for brunch!
Very nice for dinner , very comfortable seating and super stylish atmosphere
Do not book for intimate events. Very rambunctious atmosphere. Definitely pricey. Staff were friendly. Despite busyness, food came out in a reasonable time, plates were cleared off and drinks were filled. Overall, once in a lifetime, pleasant experience.
Server was friendly, however we waited for our bill and food for quite a while. Not sure if it was because of Dineout.
Such a perfect date night restaurant ! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic !!
A Saturday night birthday dinner at 5:30 for 2 ... I think this was the only reservation time allowed because of Dine Out (it wasn’t that busy and as 2 people could have been seated slightly later...). The “hostess” also called the day before to make sure we were coming and “not too subtly” say the table was booked for 7 pm.... was that a problem? She also wanted to know if we were ordering dine out...geez! That being said... the staff on Saturday were great & the waiter was friendly and professional. My husband really enjoyed the lobster bisque and his steak. I had prawn cocktail (great) and mushroom truffle risotto (the serving portion was too small). Both the coconut cake and dark chocolate tarte were great. My martini was delicious too! Great meal, nice staff but if you go during dine out ... know they want to turn around as many tables as possible and you might feel rushed.
Came here for DineOut Vancouver 2020 and did not leave disappointed! The food ( and all the options for the dineout menu) was just exceptional. The service and care by the entire team was so kind and wonderful. The one con I have was it was quite noisy with all the guests and then the music that was playing in the background but otherwise great experience
Overall my dine out experience was pretty good. Food and restaurant environment were great. Comparing with other same level restaurants, the dessert was a bit too sweet for me. But it still tasted good. When I was there the front desk was a little less in charged. I understood it was a busy night, 2-3 staff were there. I told the front desk that my booking and my husband already got a table. I was told to wait at the side until my husband had to sent a waiter to grab me. By that time, I counted, 2 party was guided to inside, 1 party got the jackets and left. 1 party came after me was waiting. And half of the time when I was waiting, probably some computer issue 2 staff were trying to figure out. I was there waiting for quite a bit when we already got a table. I would not mind at all if Parq was not the one of the newest and best hotels in Vancouver. The background music was a little bit loud. At the end it was still a 4.5 stars experience.
The attention to detail was incredible - every single person was friendly and welcoming, the food was incredible, the setting was gorgeous...really great experience.
Little disappointed with level of service brought mine and wife’s meals out a separate times as they forgot to punch one of the meals in. I know this is a mistake but wasn’t dealt with by the manager at the time. He continued to check in on other tables surrounding ours but did not have the courage to come by ours and apologize. Made for a disappointing experience to an otherwise good evening. Food was otherwise good just awkward eating separately at a nice dining establishment and not having any explanation or solution.
We had our 4th anniversary there.
Matt, the manager was an outstanding host and Jeffrey, our waiter was top notch. They treated us very well and the food was amazing!
We went there on my birthday and tried the dine out menu + paring wine list + oyster. The portion for the dine out is very litter, the size of my entree risotto looks like appetizer... And my bf's rib eye looks so "lonely" on the plate, only 2 peppers and a bit mash potatoes on the plate with it. Dessert is pretty good but they didnt do anything even though they know it is ny birthday. I don't need freebies, but at least a "happy birthday" on my dessert plate makes my day, a bit disappointed at this. Our server Matthew is nice and friendly.
The hostess was friendly and wished my friend a happy birthday. I was surprised our waiter did not acknowledge my friend’s birthday. She did not receive a greeting or a candle in her dessert. The Caesar salad is always my favorite but my portion seemed smaller. The steak was a little dry and I wish there was some sauce or jus . I had two tiny one inch red peppers on my plate to accompany the meat and some mashed potatoes. My friends ordered the chicken and it was flavorful and moist. The onion rings were better the last time I came. This time it lacked seasoning and I thought they used sweet onions as it tasted slightly different The dessert was a little hard. It was frozen and I had to dig hard to break up the tart. However the servers were attentive and we always have a fun time dining at the Parq hotel. We will be back!!!
What a great experience. The ambience was beautiful. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Very attentive
I would definitely go back again
Dine out Vancouver 2020 menu $45
First time at Victors with my friend. The service was pretty nice, but when I needed to grab something, no one was available. We came here for Dine our Cancouver, but we Didn’t expect the food to be very Salty which made me drink a sip of water after every bite.
Service was slow; we had to asks host to send our server to our table after waiting 15min. After which the service was better. For a hotel restaurant the food was good.
Great experience with amazing and attentive service staff. I choose the beef menu medium cook, a little bit tough to cut but it's still ok, don't like the medium rare, probably softer.
Where we are seated the ambiance and the view was great. My husband said "feels like we are on a cruise with their service."
Good experience overall. Service was a bit unorganized with lack of cutlery for the courses, clearing of dirty plates and timing of food delivery where we had to hold dirty plates in exchange for our next round of food. Looked a bit amateur in flow of service. Food was good, nice room and friendly service.
Outstanding food and service. I would love to recommend this place to friends and of course coming back.
We talked to our server that the food were very salty but he has no response. Also we requested for 2 camomile tea & 2 earl grey for almost 20-30 mins however the server brought us tea but said no chammoile and offered us jasmine tea. The server should ask us first before bring jasmine tea bag. waiting time for tea a bit too long.
What a great experience! We went to try the dine out, I had previously checked the manu and they are offering SO MANY good options, Im actually going for the second round soon, Im so happy and satisfied with the service, we actually have a friend that works there so they spoiled us a little. Its so interesting that they dont care who you are, what are you wearing, and they will always treat you the best way they can! Its def a up scale restaurant, everything is so beautiful and its huge, one os the largest restaurants i ever been.
Service was mediocre and I am not sure if it was our server or the dine out time. We went with the dine out menu and the steak from the entree was disappointing. It wasn’t bad bad but it wasn’t something I will expect from a somewhat high end restaurant. Dessert was vanilla coconut cake and seriously it felt like something I will get from white spot or Denny’s. Will not come back again.
Came during Dineout. Really enjoyed the steak tartare appetizer. Ordered 6oz ribeye medium rare, came out medium. Ugh. Turns out they switched my order with my friend’s. I was very happy after the switch. Although the presentation of this entree was underwhelming. A little gravy or sauce would have been nice. Chocolate tart dessert was excellent. I normally don’t care for chocolate mousse but this was lush, creamy but light, on a crisp and light chocolate cookie base. Delicious! Great value for $45.
The food was amazing, loved the steak tartare! My only issue was that the place has tons of lights and it kind of ruins the steakhouse mood
Had the Dine Out menu. Superb food and great service. Will definitely be back!
We were here for Dineout Vancouver - the server tried his best, but unfortunately the kitchen couldn’t keep up and our meal took more than 2 hours (half an hour between courses). The food was okay - we liked our appetizers and the ribeye entree was fine but the braised shortrib was quite salty. The chocolate tart dessert was very sweet so I only ate half of it. This place might be good for drinks and socializing but I would look elsewhere if you’re looking for an outstanding or special meal... especially at this price point. The ambience is very nice but unfortunately the food and service efficiency needs some work to match the fancy decor.
We went there for the dine out menu. The food was good. We had the lobster bisque, steak tartare, and Caesar salad for appetizer, and had the ribeye for main. The appetizers were good. The medium rare ribeyes were delicious. But the medium one was a bit tough. Both desserts were good. Only one complaint about the night was the location of our table. Probably it was setup at a place that doesn’t usually have any table. Therefore, our friend’s chair got bumped into by the servers numerous times during the dinner. Except for that, we enjoyed our time there.
this was my second time going there, first time was a regular dinner, this time was dine out vancouver menu!
love the atmosphere, food is great and there is a server that served me twice named Surendra L.
He was such a great server with friendly smile and service, I found myself like eating at home, I highly recommend to all my friends.
