We went here on the rainiest weekend ever. Our services was great and the servers dry sense of service was divine. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and the general mood of the restaurant. I would recommend for anyone staying at the Parq.
Matthew took very good care of us. All the staff members were friendly and efficient. Well done!
It was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend the supper club menu. Our server Craig was such a darling would easily go back to the restaurant just for him.
Excellent food, Supreme services from the waiter (Craig De Carlo). He is very attentive, courteous, professional and humourous.
Also love the presentation of the dessert, especially the Creme Brulee donut with the fluffy cotton candy outside.
Excellent food, Thanksgiving turkey dinner.
Very noisy and inappropriate choices of music.
Good service. Attentive staff.
Easy paid parking.
Our choice for festive quality food.
very accommodating to our request for reservations. understably food came out longer than prior visits as they were offering thanksgiving dinner. highly recommended.
We ordered the 50oz Tomahawk steak to share between 4 people. I was informed that the kitchen ran out of 50oz (despite my reservation being earlier in the evening) and asked to upsize to a 65oz one for an additional cost. We felt it was a sly way to upsize as they probably banked on us not wanting to reconsider the whole menu. On another note, our steak came out to us fully cold. We had it reheated but obviously that changed the degree of how well we wanted the steak done as well. The appetizers were fine but it wasn’t so good that I would go back just for the appies.
The waiter said something along the lines of “I’m surprised you guys aren’t ordering the Thanksgiving set menu since everything you ordered is year-round” which in my opinion is such a strange question? It’s clear they were trying to push that menu for that day but maybe phrase your question differently next time
Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous! Loved having the full menu to choose from too. Many special details like having a few dishes prepared at our table. The turkey dinner was delicious but the highlight was the maple cotton candy and donut dessert! We shall be back to order from the seafood menu!
The tables throughout the restaurant are too low and very uncomfortable to eat a $200 steak. The table was very very small and barley held the plates. The ambiance overall was ok but I’ve had better times and competitors steal houses for a $500 dinner.
Victor has awesome food best service high quality restaurants. Really good vibes. I would recommend to come again.
It was my first time and I was really hoping it would be a great experience because I wanted to give my bf a lovely birthday dinner. I asked if they had a nicer seating area but we ended up sitting in a dark corner by the washroom. (Maybe they wanted us to have privacy?) Our server was very friendly, but I think he was just too busy. The food is delicious but the value is just not that reasonable, you are paying for the experience though so it’s expected. Portions are quite small and pricy. Lastly, I asked for a little birthday treat in advance, because they offered it but we didn’t receive anything special like they said would be provided, while other tables were getting theirs. Which was pretty disappointing, I really didn’t want to ask for it since I already told them ahead of time and they already knew and would ruin the element of surprise..
Overall. Not the best experience for me at a higher end place but worth a try. Not sure if I’ll go back.
Ps: some of the workers are really young and the service isn’t the best.
Our server was good though, he was very professional and kind.
Service was not great. Waiter was absent minded and we felt neglected and not welcomed. The food was outstanding once we got it.
There was 4 of us for dinner. Ordered some great wine.Had appetizers of salad and seafood.
This was excellent!
Ordered the Large Tomahawk steak and accompanied veggies.
The steak was Ordered Medium Rare, arrived Medium Well. It was so tough, Hard to cut. We ate only half. Mentioned to waiter and he said OH, TOO BAD!
SHOULD HAVE SENT BACK!
Tried to offer free dessert!!!
$900 dinner and so disappointed!!!
Will never go back and will tell all my friends. Best to go to Elisa, Gotham, Hy's and Black & Blue for quality steak.
Overall a great vibe. Ambience was great, and so was the food.
Celebrate my daughter's birthday.
Basically everything is well prepared.
The receptionist congratulated her on her birthday from the moment she entered the door.
We ordered the steak medium-rare, but we got it medium-well.
The order of wine-paring was very chaotic. Almost all the wine came up at once. The table was full of wine glasses.
The steak knife was given by mistake, and the waitress changed it into the right one later.
In addition, Marriott Bonvoy members cannot accumulate points here, although this is in the JW Marriott Hotel.
The last dessert is very good. Add some points back.
It seems that they want the guests to eat quickly. The service is super fast.
But because the time limit is 1.5 hours, they can't be blamed.
It's still a beautiful night. We got good memories.
good food and ambience. you will not be disappointd.
Came for my dads birthday. Haven’t been since before COVID. Everything was fantastic-Thanks
Came in for our 10 yr wedding anniversary celebration, just the 2 of us. Very attentive front room staff. Show us to our table but it was a bit crowded with the large group next to us which was hard to get into our seat. she automatically switch us to a more spacious table next to the one we were supposed to sit at. Wait staff was a very nice gentleman but obviously too busy. Took away our bread before we were finished without asking. Gave us a great dessert recommendation though. Wish the staff had done a little celebration special at dessert like all the rest of the tables around us to end the night. But I think we were forgotten. Lots of big groups of more than 6 there to celebration birthdays. Lots of amazing desserts with sparkle candles for wishes. Can seem a bit loud at times but good vibes if you like the Vegas vibe. Overall, food was great. Lobster bisque was delicious, Hamachi was fresh, beef tartar was flavorful and cowboy steak was good at med rare but probably even better if we ordered medium. I would go back again but probably not for celebration but more for a large gathering or a girl's night out.
Girlfriend and I both had the strip loin which was delicious and cooked pretty much perfectly. Sides are extra though as they don’t come with the meal.
Really nice place, good atmosphere etc. Service was good but a little slow. It was my birthday which I stated when I made the reservation so after we finished our meals we were brought a large slice of cake to share which was a nice touch.
I would go back for an occasion in the suture for sure.
The noise level was pretty high. We were a table of six and the people on the ends could not hear each other.
The menu is not vegan friendly.
It was a birthday celebration
Celebrated our anniversary here on a Wednesday night and had an exceptional experience. The hostess failed to bring us the prix fixe menu but our server didn’t miss a beat. Didn’t catch his name but he was phenomenal at making our evening special. We shared a dynamite roll, the three courses with the upgrade to ribcap steak, and asparagus. Our server even brought us complimentary bubbly as we skipped drinks for later nightcaps. The negative ratings must have been an off night as we loved everything. Highly recommend.
What an esthetically pleasing environment
One of the greatest service we have experienced in a while.
Would definitely go again
Ambience and food is great. large selection of food and wine. the most surprising is actually the mushrooms and the cotton candy dessert.
having said that, it is very sloooow between courses. i was thinking they were still feeding the bull the whole time we were waiting for the steak.
otherwise, staff is attentive and still a good time.
It took an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to get our food - it was ridiculous how long it took. Our steaks ended up arriving cold. One of my worst experience in a restaurant service/time wise.
Matthew graced my guest and I with the perfect amount of attention which was always pleasant and informative. I ask a lot of questions and Matthew delivered. My guest and I shared the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with an added prawn to make an even four, a welcome up-sale suggestion from Matthew. We split a Caesar Salad, or rather the kitchen split it, another Matthew offer. Still hungry we then split the Filet Mignon (sliced for easier sharing - Thank you Matthew!) with Peppercorn Sauce and sides Sautéed Mushrooms and Asparagus. We topped it off with a Black Forest Cake share and Coffees. There was so much cake I still have over half in my fridge. Thank you Matthew and whole THE VICTOR TEAM for a delicous, elegant, exquisite and memorable evening.
Good food. Portions reasonable except the lobster bisque which is exceptionally small. Service excellent. We tried three desserts all excellent and good portions. The music noise level was very high, so instead of a romantic environment it is more like a bar scene, which I do not like.
We ate here for our anniversary dinner. The staff was attentive and added a few extra touches to make our evening special - much appreciated. We ordered the Sunday Spoils menu for 2 which was good value.
2 people ate there, $400 way over priced for only average food.
I can not stress enough how I DO NOT RECOMMENT The Victor.
And another ting, the steak knives absolutely suck, I mean c'mon Victor go out and buy some new knives or get a sharpening stone!
Portion is very very small. Just steak and a small potato and small 2/3 veggies
Worst service ever got in a restaurant . Never ever complained the service to the manager in a restaurant until this time, but what we got is only “I am sorry, but there is nothing I can do.” And it’s a famous upscale restaurant! Really unbelievable.
As always our evening at The Victor was amazing !!!
Service was outstanding, our waiter was great, very knowledgeable and attentive.
It was our Anniversary !
The build your own sushi night on Wednesdays is a very fun experience and the price is right! I highly recommend it. Our server was kind but our service was slow as I think he was overly busy with too many tables. I would recommend giving yourself lots of time and to not be in a rush when you are here. This is the second time we have experienced slow service at this establishment. That being said however the food is worth the wait, quality is exceptional.
We tried the petite filet mignon, it was cooked to perfection and my husband tried the Salmon filet, according to him a great decision.
Went there for my husband‘s birthday dinner. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the overall decor of the restaurant was very nice. Started with steak tartare which was excellent. The entrées were pretty good but not out of the park good. We had a fish and a steak. The fish was a bit on the salty side. The Japanese milk bread they served at the start was addictive. Overall price was as expected for a restaurant of this level.
Striploin was chewy. Amazing service
Our server was good and so was the meal. Great cocktails. just missing the small things that would make it great. There are proper tools for removal of crumbs from the table. More attentive assistants to main server.
Great food, excellent service. Kinda wonky to get to the front door, but pretty once there!
