We had a lovely dinner and had a fabulous and helpful waitress. I ordered the filet and asked for medium rare. It came out medium and I could barely eat it. The waitress was so accommodating and gave great service. The manager was especially nice and checked in with us as we were going to the bar for entertainment and drinks. The bar was another story. We sat near the live band and patiently waited to be served. We were there for an hour and the waitress walked around and around us but never served us. I was so thirsty. A disappointing way to end an otherwise lovely evening in a beautiful restaurant.
We went for my Birthday, and started with drinks in the piano lounge, where our server was so bubbly, and the music was nice. Then we moved into the dining side for dinner. Again, very friendly server, wished me a happy birthday, and took very good care of us. My husband has taken business associates to Vicky’s when he entertains.
First time after driving by for more than 20 years! lol Sorry we waited sooooo long! Try those bacon wrapped dates!
WELCOME BACK EVERYONE AT VICKs!
It was great to be dining at Vicky’s again.
We have missed this restaurant during the summer and was thrilled to hear it was reopening.
Bob, Owner/mgr greeted us as we arrived.
Hilda the hostess at the front desk, as always totally ingratiating!
Our waitress, Melanie was spectacular, she got our entire order for (4) perfectly correct.
A wonderful relaxing evening. We look forward to our next visit.
We had a wonderful meal and very good service. The only negative feedback I have is that 2 out of 4 in our party ordered the halibut and it was over done and rather dry. It would be really nice if the meals included the sides-just charge a few more dollars and include the vegetables and potatoes!
Our second trip to Vicky's. This time for my wife's birthday. Nice cocktail before dinner. Server was extremely patient. Food was wonderful and the birthday cake was a great finishing touch. Great place and will definitely be back.
It's the place to go. Great live music every night of the week. Pricey but entertainment is free.
Had an out of state friend visiting. We had been to Vicky's with him about 2 yrs. ago. He remembered the name so we made dinner reservations. We ordered the wrapped dates as appetizer to share . Fantastic! I ordered BLT wedge..delicious and our friend had the Cesaer Salad. Both were great. We had 2 burgers and the filet. Everything was tops. Cooked to perfection and all three were different temps. Our guest paid and thought it was a great value. Server was great and very attentive. We come often and sit in the bar area...wish it was a possible to have a nice comfortable table for 4....so we just squeeze in if we are 4. It is a very local scene and yes, loud! but fun...
Extremely noisy. Unable to hear
Portions on restaurant week palm springs 2018 skimpy .
If Vicky's do not want to be involved in restaurant week with reasonable content
they should drop out.
Bar scene/jazz band patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves.
My friend and I went for Restaurant Week. Food was good; however, our server gave the impression of not really caring about us and just wanted to move on. I do understand this as you work for your tips but tips might be better if some nicety was shown toward the customer.
I ordered the pear salad and thought it was good. The ahi tuna stack was not. It was nothing like what you would expect. It had horse radish or something like that. Nothing like what you would expect. I had to send it back. My boyfriend’s son order sausage rigatoni and the noodles were not completely cooked and the sausage tasted weird. So he sent the dish back as well and didn’t get a replacement. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was the most bland tasting lambs i’ver ever had. Lamb has a distinctive taste and it hardly had that taste. The meat was very tender. I did eat it all even though it had no flavor. At the end we got the appetizer comped but not the sausage rigatoni. We’ll never go there again.
It was Restaurant Week so we took advantage of a special price and were very pleased. Service was good, quality of food was excellent.
We had heard good things about Vicky's of Santa Fe & had enjoyed the previous sister restaurant (Vanessi) in Santa Fe. Vicky's certainly lived up to the reputation. Great place!!! We'll definitely be back when they open again in the fall!!!
Are 2nd trip here and this restaurant is still fabulous. Food is outstanding and the service is wonderful. Recomend this establishment to any one. Price to me is ok for the experience and food you get. Price$$
This was our first time at Vicky's...it was not what I expected. The bar was in the center of the restaurant which made it very loud for diners...there seemed to be patron singing activity going on which also was very distracting. We went for restaurant week as we liked the menu offerings. It did not disappoint...the food was great. Next time I'll know to request a table far away from the bar. Obviously a local favorite as there seemed to be many regulars.
Food was ok
Great entertainment. Lively bar and lounge.
Always a good night at Vicky’s!
We enjoyed our dinner and had a wonderful server that was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.
Outstanding meal and great service. Music was the BEST. Steve Oliver was over the top!!!!!
Very good Restaurant Week menu. Nice variety of entrees. We’ll be back.
Met friends for restaurant week. They had a good deal for a bottle of wine. Fix Price for $39...Would have been a better value at $29. Service was good.
We have lived in the desert for 5 years and never been to Vicky’s until last week. This will be one of our to go places now. Food was excellent. The scallops were to die for. Service was also exceptional considering it was Dine Week.
Vicky's for annual restaurant week visit. Last year we went twice! This year had steaks and lamb rack. Awesome flavors, fast and friendly service. Custom specialty drinks were excellent also Vicky's is one of our favorites.
Great service & wonderful relaxing meal
It was perfect, the service, food and all the staff were great. It is ideal for special occasions. We will be going back.
The jazz was great. The food for restaurant week felt like it was a sort of punishment for choosing this menu. I hope that the normal menu had better food. It reminded me of buffet food in Las Vegas. Not my favorite. But I would give it another try.
Our waitress was amazing and the food was great. Really good value for the GPS Restaurant week
We went for the first time on the Restaurant Week promotion. Have always been curious about it. It’s a beautiful building, valet parking is excellent. If you want to be able to talk to each other, ask for a table in back of the dining room. The live music and crowd in the bar is very loud, but makes it lively, too. The food was good, but not great. But we will go again. It’s a very nice place, with good service.
Went there for restaurant week. Food OK. Overpriced drinks. Service good. Facility is rather spectacular. Live music too loud in dining area. Probably will not return. Too many others yet to see.
Visited for Restaurant Week and ordered 3 course meal. Service was too rushed. 3 courses served one after another so we we finished in less than one hour. No time to converse with our friends.
Our server was outstanding and every item from the restaurant week menu was delicious! A nice touch was the Wine special as well. Loved the Wednesday night band too!
Great atmosphere with live band in lounge
We visited for restaurant week - food was delicious and healthy! Our waitress was so nice and friendly. We got to have a good look into the wine cellar - great! Definitely go back.
The service was the best I've seen for very long time. Great server, female with long black hair said she been there for a while. Professional, friendly, Timely had a lot of tables and yet addressed each and every one of us and offered great customer service. Music was good five pieces play a little bit of everything from Jazz to rock and roll. For a Sunday off season quite a few people. Great people-watching.
Love Vicky's for Happy Hour, as we go frequently, but we had a birthday dinner for a dear friend there last Saturday night....Ambience and service were both good, but the food in general was tasteless and blah...we were a bit disappointed.
It's always great food and service. The higher price is worth it for the food quality. You can sit at the back if you want quiet, or in front of the musicians in the performance lounge. Complimentary valet parking is a nice touch. Can't go wrong, here.
We enjoy Vicki’s though the music is impossibly loud. This particular night it
VICKY'S IS A REAL STAR IN THE DESERT AREA. FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY TOP QUALITY AND BEAUTIFULLY PREPARED. SERVICE AND DECOR ARE OUTSTANDING. OWNERS ARE CHARMING AND THERE ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. MORE THAN A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE. WE EAT THERE MORE THAN ONCE A WEEK.
Food was wonderful. Best prepared fish that I have ever eaten. Side dishes were very large. Nice wait staff were very good. However, very noisy. Made conversation difficult
Overall a top notch experience. First time visit recommended by a friend. A New Mexico or Santa Fe decor that is warm and sophisticated. Service was super. The selection was varied and dishes had their own twists. And priced as you would expect. Definitely a place I’ll return to next time.
