We love everything about Vicky’s. Couldn’t ask for more
We love Vicky’s...great food and great service!!!
We dined on a Friday night. The restaurant was full. We were seated on time (at the time of our reservation). Service was attentive and the food was excellent, especially the sea bass which was the special. One of the diners in our group ordered shrimp. Rather than the battered shrimp on the menu, he requested shrimp scampi. The substitution was made without issues and he enjoyed the preparation. The carrot cake was an excellent way to end the meal. The very hearty portion was enough for the entire table to share.
Great atmosphere and really good food. Our server was very busy and therefore was not as attentive as we would have liked. Afterwards we went into the bar where they had live music with 3-4 musicians. It was a ton of fun!!!
I had the Lamb Shank and my wife Chicken Pot Pie. Both were great. Started with Meatballs lots of flavor and delicious sauce.
Service was awful. Waitress argued with me when I told her my N.Y. steak was cooked to medium & not medium rare. Luckily another person in our party got medium rare so the difference was obvious. Food is just average & service is poor. I would not eat here again but I would go to the bar & listen to the music. Great bartenders.
Vicki's is a great place for entertainment; the food however is O.K. at best. There were three of us dining and each meal was average to below average. Disappointing t say the least.
Overall, I felt Vicky's was a disappointment. The appetizer was an artichoke that was very boring, over done and had no flavor. I told the server that I am gluten intolerant and I needed to be careful of what I ordered, it was not 2 minutes later that she offered me sour dough bread. I wanted the Sand dabs as my main course and once again stated that I am gluten intolerant, she said that should not be a problem. When the fish arrived I discovered the filets were "lightly" breaded, really???!!! What did she not understand about gluten intolerant?
The wait staff all smelled highly of terrible laundry perfumes and dryer sheets. VERY disruptive to enjoying food and wine. RUINED the wine every time they would come to the table. Really not cool.
Our evening at Vicky's was just o.k. We have dined here in the past and enjoyed it, but not this time. I ordered the sand dabs which had a floury, pasty taste. The 'lightly dusted' flour seemed to congeal with the sauce and became unappetizing. We did enjoy the ahi tuna appetizer, but will hold off on a return visit.
We found Vickys of Santa Fe on TripAdvisor while in the area for the BNP tennis tournament. On the advice of the server I had the chicken pot pie, something I wouldn’t ordinarily think of and it was delicious. The presentation in a pie plate with a beautifully domed flaky crust was a nice surprise. My husband ordered the roasted chicken which was amazing, moist and flavorful meat with delicious crispy skin.
Pretty tired atmosphere and quality of everything is less
Not what we expected based on name (Santa Fe) and reviews which portrayed it as a great place for jazz/blues and excellent food. Walked into a noisy, crowded bar scene with blaring country/rock music from a not great band. Acoustics were so bad even in the farthest dining room we had to yell to hear each other. Nothing southwest or Santa Fe on the menu. American food, mediocre quality. Short ribs weren't edible. Scallops were super greasy. The bread was great and our server was very nice, attentive and enthusiastic. She took the short ribs off the bill even though we told her it wasn't necessary. If you're looking for a loud pick up scene & not planning to eat, then this may be right up your alley. If you're looking for upscale jazz/blues, intimate setting or southwest cuisine, best look elsewhere.
Our party of four dined at Vicky's on a Saturday night. The dining room was busy but our service was excellent. We were pleased with our food choices, too. The hearts of romaine salad with balsamic dressing was excellent. The sea bass special was also excellent, as were the shrimp. Later we enjoyed the John Stanley King band in the bar.
Eric Karina and Carla were great live the food and service will return
The Rotisserie chicken is always amazing! The staff is fantastic and you can't go wrong when John Stanley King and crew are playing in the lounge.
Food was good, but the noise level was deadly.
We could not hear each other unless we shouted at each other which we did.
It was one of the noisiest that we ever visited. We will not go back.
Restaurant very busy. Noise level in dining room excruciating. Excellent service but couldn’t enjoy meal.
We anticipated a great time based on what had heard but...My wife ordered a rack of lamb medium. It came out more than well done. We sent it back and they brought us another one rare to see. We sent it back again. They put it under the broiler and brought it back but it was kind of flavorless. I had t he chicken pot pie which was pretty good. Good ambiance but other than saying I'm sorry they did nothing for us given how bad the lamb was.
It's a cool place but given the issue, it be hard pressed to go back
Waitress worked hard but there weren’t enough wait staff to handle the crowd.
This restaurant was much too loud. I dislike restaurants where you have to yell just in order to talk to the person across the table. The salmon was not very fresh.
This is a very busy, high noise restaurant. Our server was friendly and accommodating. Our entrees were beautifully plated and tasted great. The other side of the building features live music 7 days a week.
Great spot for band watching live entertainment .
Loud and full on bar scene .
We went with kids which I would recommend against since it's just not a kid enviro.
Food was average.
the food was priced well and was excellent, it was just very crowded so served us late but all and all great..just packed in the lounge area and the dining room
Excellent food and service. High noise level. Separate section has live entertainment with drink service.
Food was over cooked
Noisy. Busy and staff almost running around all the time we were there. it was far from relaxing dining
Would not recommend
We were staying across the street at the Indian Wells Resort Hotel and decided to give Vicky's a try.
We were seated promptly upon arriving and our server was very friendly. However, all food items were pricey and not so great, as follows:
Poke appetizer - good quality ingredients, but lacking in flavor. The dish needed more wasabi or some soy sauce.
Pear salad - poached pears were too soft and flavorless. The salad was served with too much dressing.
Steak - also rather flavorless and under-cooked.
Overall, the experience felt corporate. The decor is pleasant and the service good enough, but the food was very mediocre for the price.
Go to Mimmo's instead - full of spirit, homey atmosphere, caring staff and truly excellent food.
They seated us at the worst possible table we could imagine, the menu was not a good menu and the service was worse than Applebee’s, we walked out before ordering
This was our first visit to Vicky’s , we had an 8 pm Rez. And arrived on time at about 7:55pm. The bar was very crowded and people were waiting everywhere. It was a quite busy evening. I was afraid we’d be asked to wait but we were seated exactly at 8. Our waitress Melody, I believe, was very friendly and helpful. We started with calamari, had 2 different salad, both were great. I ended up having Rack of Lamb and it was very very good. My partner had the Veal Chop, it was large and looked delicious. We enjoyed our meal immensely and can’t wait to come back soon. There was a nice bread service and Cocktails were great. Bar has live music nightly and was quite bopping. Yet the noise level in the Restaurant was not terrible.
Valet parking. Good food.Great live music daily.
Food very oily both the San pan piccata AND the roasted chicken.
We did not make this reservation because it was Valentines Day. We were just going to be in the area. Very slow to seat us, server was rude, and we had not been informed as to the planned prefixe menu which did not meet some of our dietary restrictions. Terrible place!
We were there at Vicky’s for Valentines Day. They had a special fixed menu with four entree choices The kitchen is open, our table was in the main dining room, so it was very noisy but I’ve been before, sitting in the back dining room and that’s not the case. They were busy so the service was a little slow but the food was fabulous!!! We had a party of four and ordered three of the four choices, the filet, sea bass, and scallops—it was all amazing!!
We made reservations on Open Table. No mention was noted that a Valentines Day menu would be substituted for the full menu. However when I tried to speak to the manager about the gap or hole in the information process. He said he was to busy to talk, and it was the way it was. So I take it from his cold arrogant attitude they don’t want or need my business.
Wonderful dinning experience but our four was seated next to a group of
We had an amazing meal at Vicky's. Great service and food. The atmosphere was fun, great wine recommendation . It's a must for anyone visiting the desert!
51st Wedding Anniversary
We sat in the lounge for the entertainment and the room was quite full. There were only two waitstaff to service the whole room which was not enough and the service was terrible - wait person extremely delayed at every step, waitperson spilled drink and we sat there for 10 minutes before she brought back a stack of napkins and handed them to me to clean it up - she spilled the drink and expected me to clean it up even after I asked her to, she did not offer to replace the spilled drink, I had to tell her to do so, food was below average in quality, etc, etc. This was my first time at Vicky's of Santa Fe and I will never go back.
