We had a wonderful time which excludes a perfect dinner at a romantic restaurant in Indian Wells. Our server perfect, our entree Lamb outstanding. The steamed artichoke excellent. Cocktails, scotch neat, old fashioned tasty. The coffee and carrot cake at the end Go for the music and people watching
Great food and fantastic service. Live music as well.
We were looking forward to enjoying the music with dinner, or after dinner, as we enjoy the band that was playing, having had a great time here before when this band was performing. There was no way to enjoy the music as a weird crowd was wall to wall blocking all access to the music room when we arrived and also after we had dinner. It was a strange vibe, rather disappointing overall. Unfortunately, this place was one if our favorites in the past in the area; don’t think we’ll be back. We were here for a special birthday celebration, so it was doubly disappointing.
Great waitress great food the only down side is the noise
Service was excellent however the food was bland and I was disappointed. However the blues band was amazing. I would recommend the music not the fare.
Food was good...had to send our steaks back as they were definitely not “medium” but really rare. Service was amazing...our server was efficient, friendly and attentive!
Yes for the entertainment, no for the food. Expensive and very average. Fish was dry and steak wasn't very flavor.
Seated in the dining room. Music from the dance floor filter through the bar to where we were seated. The noise level was moderate. The dining room was informal and perfect for the informal dinner we were about to have. Rotisserie chicken was our favorite. It did not disappoint along with twice baked potato. This will be a regular stop for us.
When you enter don’t turn right. That leads to a restaurant. Don’t bother. Turn left to the music and club.
Service in the restaurant was maybe a 3. The filet (not a filet mignon) was worse than Sizzler. We sent the onion bloom back. No flavor and served with a very sweet thousand island dressing.
Service in the music area was no better. Had to ask a manager to get a drink list. Then took a long time to get a server. Then . . . . We waited 30 minutes to get a bill to pay for 2 glasses of wine. We left and the manger came after us after another 10 minutes while we had our Uber on the way.
Tip seems to be : go early, turn left, get a table, eat and enjoy the music.
It is always a treat to dine at Vicky’s. We were offered a quiet table where we could enjoy the evening and the great food.
We were seated in a section where, initially, only one other 4 table person was occupied. Soon though a manager (?) appeared and began to talk to them in a loud manner and they reciprocated. Eventually the noise became so loud that our friends and I could not hear each other conversing. I approached the other table and asked them if they could lower their voices. They seemed surprised but did apologize and the loud noise subsided.
Several minutes later though a different manager (?) owner (?) approached their table and once again, engaged them in conversation, and the noise became almost unbearable. I was surprised that this table and their visitors had no sense that others were seated near them OR that they might conduct their conversation in a quieter manner. You might want to check with your staff and explain it to them. That's why I question if we'll return to your restaurant and can recommend it to a friend. Thanks for listening.
I selected Vicky’s on line because the food looked good and it looked like great restaurant...which it was. The food was great and our waitress was terrific. By slightly negative comment was I wasn’t aware there was lice music the encompassed the entire restaurant. (Having said that, it was good music)
Server was good but a bit too casual for the prices they charge. Paper placemats did not fit with the otherwise fine dining accoutrements. Food was good and well presented but lacked seasoning on a very fine steak and also the pan seared scallops, so pretty disappointed with that. The band
was awesome; we had a really good time. Overall it was a good night. Could have been 5 star but sadly wasn't.
My steamed artichoke was very overcooked to the point of being soggy.
When I told the waitress she said she’d tell to kitchen. No apology. No offer to replace it.
Otherwise the food was fine.
We were in your quiet dining room and we couldn’t have been more pleased. It was a business dinner and uninterrupted conversation was very important. We had the perfect server. Food was scrumptious.
We then listened to Joel Gaines. He was amazing. We are excited to return!
The bacon wrapped dates were very good, salad was great, Liver and onions were fantastic, desert was great, service was REALLY good. The ambiance wasn't as good as we'd hoped. The singing in the other room was very distracting while we were trying to eat and have a conversation with our friends in the dining room. We were there at 6PM. Seems if they started the louder more energetic music at say 8 and kept things calmer prior, that'd be good. Never thought I'd say that, as I like good music, but I guess I am 56 now :-)
Wonderful ambience I'm great service. Interesting menu lovely presentation. Would definitely visit again when next in the desert.
I’ve been to Vicky’s twice and have had a great experience both times.
Im a little disappointed with the management’s position on charging $21 corkage fee for a half bottle of wine.
It’s perfectly acceptable to charge slightly over half the $21.00 fee for a half bottle, but to charge the same fee as a full bottle is bad business.
Why should the 1/2 bottle corkage fee “exceed”the price of two glasses of their house wine?
We've been going to Vicky's for 17 years, and each time is a great experience. The staff is always helpful and service is great! Mark an Mark make is a wonderful place to dine and have fun!!!
Always a great place to go. Friendly staff and you can go alone and feel comfortable. Wonderful value during restaurant week
Have eaten here many times and it never disappoints.
Melanie our server was excellent as was Faye behind the bar.
I’ll be back, again and again
A complete evening. Great food, great service, and live entertainment (with no cover charge). Only problem is that you have to get there early to get a seat !
Went there during restaurant week, had never dined there. Very impressed and will definitely return
It was a wonderful experience. Everything was great food, service, ambiance with music in the bar. We will be back for certain!!
Vicky's of Santa Fe was a very good experience. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Even though the restaurant was very crowded we did not have to wait at all. Our food came out quickly and it was delicious. We highly recommend the restaurant.
Great ambiance..seated by the window..great food and the service was wonderful
Great! Always a good time
Went with a group of 4 for Restaurant Week, on a Friday night. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the wait-staff was courteous and attentive even though the restaurant was really crowded. Between us we tried the scallops, steak and lamb chops. First, the house bread was excellent, nice crust and wonderful texture. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the presentation was nice on the spinach. The lamb and steak were cooked exactly as ordered and very tasty. The steak was a lot (10 oz.) so had about half to take home. The salads, unfortunately, were really over-dressed, left most of it on the plate. Now the reason for lowered rating. The noise level was incredible. We had no warning that such a nice restaurant could be so loud. Could not talk to the person across table without shouting and could barely carry on a conversation with person next to you. Noise resonated on the hard surfaces. Luckily for us, when the live music in the lounge started we were nearly finished with dinner and ready to leave, with headaches. We all agreed we would try it again because the food was good, maybe earlier in evening or just happy hour.
Really loud restaurant. Food is mediocre.
This was our 1st visit to Vicky's and we will definately be back. Only sorry it is closing for the summer.
Excellent service, the food and drinks were perfect. Could not have asked for a better experience.
Our group was pleasantly surprised at how good our dinner was. Was there once before and had a less than stellar dinner. We thought it might be time to go back and try it again and we were glad we did. All six of us had a delightful dinner....food was great and the band good, although a little loud. We will be back.
TOO NOISY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OTHERWISE EXCELLENT
Dinner was delicious. Scallops for me and Lamb for my husband using the $29 restaurant week special. They also featured select bottle of wines for $17 - great buy. Service was excellent by Daric.
Enjoyed music by Steve Oliver & his band in the Bar area - excellent musicians - no cover.
Fantastic evening. Will be back when they reopen in October
The lettuce wedge, short ribs and bread pudding were excellent.
It was definitely a great value for Restaurant Week. There were ample choices many with a little extra flair to the prep. The view to the mountains was nice and the dining room was comfortably decorated and spotless. Plus everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and that kind of vibe elevates everyone's experience.
Good menu for restaurant week. Even when the band wasn’t playing, the noise level is high. But great food!
Reservation was made noting my wife’s birthday and there was no acknowledgement!!! The salads and deserts were poor quality. We were extremely disappointed.
We have loved Vicky’s for years.
