Loved the atmosphere. The location is perfect in midtown. The hotel, that Viceroy is located in, has a very quaint, nostalgic and historical feel.
We were seated immediately for our reservation. The staff was polite. The flavors of the food were very good, for the most part. All the food had a definite French flare. For appetizers, we tried the escargot, smoked salmon, and calamari. All spot on with flavor. The escargot might have had too much of a toasted buttery bread crumb flavor. Could have used more of a garlic touch, but not complaining.
The main courses we tried were stroganoff, pork tenderloin, and a seafood pasta dish. The pork tenderloin was the best. I would not recommend the stroganoff. The meat was a bad cut (too chewy). All portions of food were very sizable amounts. For the price, I would try something different next time. The Caesar salad was a little too dry and a little skimpy on the Caesar dressing. I could not taste the anchovy (or anchovy paste) either. The soups we tried were French onion and chicken tortilla. Both were outstanding. Superb flavors on both.
Would we try this place again? Yes. Some items we would order again. Others item, I would love to give them the opportunity to serve us something new.
Closing in two weeks. Food and atmosphere were very good except for my Caesar salad. Quite possibly the worst I’ve ever had. I was too involved talking to my best friend to say anything but the lettuce was old and wilted. No taste. Everything else was on point.
Wonderful ambience and lovely decor. It was a bit loud but there was a noisy table of eight next to us. Food was outstanding and ALOT of food for the price. Each dish could have served two people. The staff was very attentive and worked as a team. Wonderful experience overall!
Lovely small restaurant , very quiet with attentive but not intrusive service. Nicely edited menu with excellent execution
All good. We wanted to make reservations at the upstairs bar but online kept saying it was not available. Our server said otherwise.
Order was incomplete, so to fix it they brought me side of cold cheese for my warm omelet instead of fixing the mistake in the kitchen. Had to ask for my coffee to be filled every time. For the cost of this place I expected more. Food was just average as well.
Dinner after wedding. Very attentive wait staff. Very quiet environment. Food was outstanding Great wine selections. Fantastic desserts
Food was amazing! I had the short rib Sauerbraten and it was wonderful, so full of flavor. Such a wonderful place to sit and have a nice romantic dinner.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere
Get away night with the wife, we love the food and I loved a bottle of wine I bought. Decent price, next time, roof top.
Very quiet atmosphere. Good food
Pretty disappointing. Service was decent, appetizer good, meals not great.
Simple, quiet, with a very good bar. Menu items are varied, in terms of seafood, beef. A superb steak, with excellent horseradish cream sauce.
We love the Viceroy. Everything on the menu is delicious. This is our go to place for a nice dinner out
Went for Mother’s Day breakfast and it was great! Food was delicious, good portions, great service, totally going back again!
Early Mother’s Day brunch. Boutique hotel with equally matching decor. 1st time here and the 5 of us enjoyed it. Pretty entrance for photos too. Ordered the salmon platter for our appetizer and it was wonderful.
Service was slow. Shrimp was over cooked on the surf and turf feature. Normally very good. Just an off evening.
Fantastic as always!!!
We enjoyed Easter dinner and most recently to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. Excellent service, delicious food, and blessed atmosphere! Highly recommend this cosy spot to all who long for a special date with family &/or friends.
The Viceroy never fails to please. Go up to the bar before your meal. The bartender made me a special Cosmopolitan with peach flavored vodka. I recommend the crab cakes for appetizer and filet for dinner!
Very enjoyable, relaxing dinner before the OKC marathon!
First time at Viceroy's. We heard about it the Sunday paper and decided to check it out. We wanted something different and we got it. Excellent food and outstanding service form a friendly staff. Best crab cakes I've ever eaten.
We went for brunch for my birthday after seeing that the restaurant was well-reviewed. The food was good, but not memorable (portions were huge). Unfortunately, the restaurant was also out of several dishes from the menu that we wanted to order, which was disappointing. We likely wouldn't come back here in the future since there are many better restaurants in the OKC area.
We met for dinner with a friend and found the food here to be well prepared. The wait-staff was attentive but not intrusive. I had the salmon with the Brussels sprouts. The salmon was cooked to my liking and the sprouts were very tasty. We were a bit surprised to find the restaurant near empty at a time that we expected it to be quite full.
We enjoyed a variety of dishes at our table. Everyone of them was delicious. The Grilled Chicken a la Puttanesca, the Seared Scallops and the Salmon Platter had a great presentation and very very tasty. I would recommend the Viceroy to anyone looking for a good dinner and a reasonable price.
Some of the best seafood in OKC. Waitstaff are spotty. Ambiance is reasonable but it can be very cold in the winter. I would recommend!
The service was above and above all. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about wine, drinks and the food! It is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. I had the special which was flank steak and mahi-mahi. It was amazing. Everyone else said they liked their choices a lot. I will go back.
Great place, we will be back
food was outstanding with perfect serice and atmosphere
Overall we really enjoyed this restaurant. However, it didn't get top ratings because our waiter failed to ask me how I like my meat cooked. Who knew you had to make that decision about stroganoff? The waiter should have known, that's who. There was plenty of steak atop the noodles, but it was quite rare. Only when we were finished, and I had a mound of "middle meat" (the too rare to eat parts) on the edge of my plate, did someone come ask about our meal. She did offer a free dessert, but we were full and staying in a hotel, so we didn't even want to take one with us.
My husband loved his dinner.
2nd time in one week for me...this place is so consistent and dependable. We brought a friend for her birthday...and Denise and the food staff did not disappoint. The eggs benedict is my favorite Sunday brunch item...but the lemon curd pancakes are a close second.
Thank you, Viceroy Grille for being our "go to" place.
Nicely quiet and not crowded. Great food! Perfect place for a calm conversation
Delicious food, great service and a beautiful environment.
Service and food as always were impeccable. There was a very loud party across the restaurant that was disturbing but no fault of the Viceroy.
We loved our food, and our waiter was exceptional. He gave us an awesome wine by the bottle recommendation, and was just so sweet to my husband and myself. We had a wonderful experience and The Viceroy will be a go to nice date night for us.
I was in desperate need to find a place to propose to my girlfriend. I had done a bunch of research for the perfect place and viceroy popped up. Let’s just say I found the perfect establishment to gain a fiancé. The staff was so helpful and very cordial! The night ended up being so perfect!
We had a reservation this evening, and upon checking in to be seated, the service was outstanding. Corey, our server, was outstanding throughout our entire dining experience. The ambience at Viceroy Grille is elegant. I started off with a glass of Chardonnay, to the cocktail menu, with a signature cocktail, both great, the cocktail being perfectly balanced. The food, stupendous. I tried the platter of swordfish steak, salmon, shrimp, and a side of bacon-infused mac&cheese, all cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or seeking a fantastic dining experience, Viceroy Grille receives my vote and recommendation. Five stars, thanks again! Definitely worth another experience.
The Scallops were excellent!!!
Four of us celebrated our wives birthdays and it was everything we thought it would be; we each had something different and the consensus was very favorable. The only caveat was the price of the wine--two of us ordered wine by the glass and it was on the expensive side. Other than that, it was as expected--good food, nicely presented and service was good.
