Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
This was our first time going here and probably will not go back. The food was good but not any better than any other upscale steakhouse. There was a private party going on in a private dining room right next to our table. The party was off the charts out of control and the noise level was obnoxious. Our server did his best to make us comfortable given the circumstances and finally moved our table to the other side of the restaurant.
The atmosphere is amazing. We were greeted on NYE with a glass of champagne at the door. What an awesome way to start our anniversary dinner and ring in the new year. Then we were seated and were given undivided attention by our waiter Bill and many other staff members. Bill made phenomenal recommendations. We started with the crab cake app which was completely covered in lump crab meat and delicious. Then we had the pear salad which was split in two so we could share--love when restaurants take the time to do that. After, we had the cowboy ribeye which was recommended be cooked at medium albeit we asked for med-rare. I was so glad Bill spoke up b/c the steak came out perfect. We were then offered the chance to get it sliced. Loved that. Made it easy for us to eat our dish. That came along side mushroom gnocchi. So tasty with a hint of spice. Then we indulged in a caramel bread pudding. We ate everything and left nothing behind. The best meal I have ever eaten start to finish, with a wonderful staff--well worth the money!
Overall good was very good. Just be aware when ordering meat that it will be much more on the rare side than most restaurants. I ordered my lamb medium and it was far to raw for my taste. Service was good. The music was playing a bit too loudly which made it impossible to have a quiet conversation.
The restaurant accommodated a last minute addition to our party size.
The oysters Rockefeller was delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The NY strip was seasoned really well.
Our server, Anthony, was amazing as usual. Great personality. Very good wine recommendations.
Very unhappy with the way were treated. Our waitress was very nice however we think they may have misplaced our order. We watched diners come in after us and they were served while we still did not have our dinner. We asked for a manager after we were without dinner for 1 hour and we were blown off. Finally a manager came over as our food came out but they barely apologized. At this point we should have been offered something off the bill, desert or anything. Instead they threw the bill at us as soon as they cleared the table. As a local who eats out on a regular basis, I would not come back. The food was good but certainly not outstanding enough to deal with bad service especially by management.
Very disappointed with this restaurant. Went for Thanksgiving. Turkey was cold to lukewarm. I was offered to have it heated (?) or a replacement order. Turned down the offer, thought of the don't return food at restaurant rule. For this type of restaurant I had expected better food. To me this is inexcusable. Maybe they only know steaks. Should have gone to the buffet.
My dinner was OK, my wife and cousin ordered the lamb chops and they were 75% fat. My cousin sent hers back and they exchanged for a steak. My wife didn't want to wait an additional 15 minutes since the sides were out and ate what she could. I will not be back. Second time there and 2nd bad experience.
Celebrating my birthday with my husband on a tuesday evening after some meetings in atlantic city.
place was packed with people from the conference so noise level was high. waiters were busy acomodating the large groups. the surprise came as even though the place was packed and busy the waiters and waitress would stop by our table just to say hello and what can they get for us even though they were not our server.
our waiter Juan made sure we had everything that we needed and even though he was rushed with the larger group he really took his time with us and paid alot of attention to us.
the manager Victor even came over to see how we were doing. even took time to send a slice of cake with a candle over to us. even the waitress at the next table stopped by continually just to make sure we were taken care of . really appreciated her doing that.
exceptional service and pampering and the food was just amazing!
we can't wait to go back. it's our new favorite restaurant!
