What a fantastic meal! Our expectations were drastically exceeded from the first bite to the last. We highly recommend this restaurant and are excited to watch it grow. Thank you for doing what you do!!
Love this place! It is fun and the food is divine. Great food and cocktails. Everyone is nice and helpful with the menu. Loved it all!
My girlfriend, who is from Milan, said "Of all the Italian restaurants in Los Angeles, this is the one that reminds me most of home. It's the best Italian food I've had in Los Angeles. Besides my own! The pasta was perfect, Felix could learn something from this place.
We had made a reservation thru open table. Arriving early, we were asked to wait at the bar. Not a problem. Our drinks had barely arrived when we were called to be seated. The young host tried to sit us (2) at a table adjoining a table with two young children crawling around the booth. I declined and volunteered to sit in the bar area which was empty. I asked to sit at a free standing table set for three but was told by the young host we need to sit at the banquette set for two. I asked if the table was reserved. It was not. Not less than 5 minutes later, he sat 2 women at the table for 3. This colored the entire meal for me. Thank god, Michael our waiter was excellent. My pasta with rabbit and sweetbreads was excellent as well. My companion:s mushroom ravioli was heavy and doughy and under cooked (not al dente).
I’m chalking up this experience to a opening debug. I liked the place but they better get competitive fast.
The hotel decor is impressive, very nice. The staff was nice. I can’t say I loved it but I can’t say I hated it either.
Our waiter poored my second glass of wine before I was done with my first glass. The halibut smelled so fishy I had to order another dish. The menu is very hard to understand, but our waiter seemed to know what he was talking about. He was also the bartender, so he wasn’t that on it.
I’m not sure I’d go back for the food but I’d definitely go back to enjoy the bar. The ambiance is really nice.
Great new restaurant, came here with my girlfriend for a date night. The food was excellent, we started with the scallops, and then followed it up with pasta. I had the rigatoni all'amatriciana and my girlfriend had the ravioli fonduta. Both were delicious, I was especially impressed with my rigatoni all'amatriciana. It's fairly difficult to find pasta all'amatriciana outside of Italy, let alone an amatriciana that is done well, and they nailed it. It was as good as or better than some you might find in Italy, which tells me they have an authentic Italian chef in charge of the menu. I look forward to returning.
we have a grate diner we have the crostini branzino and the lasagna and for dessert we have rice pudding we have a lot off fun
Beautiful venue- great design & decor, ambiance needs a little refinement. Lights were adjusted several times during dinner- made more noticeable because the kitchen area is so bright that most of the dining the room is very off-balance. Our waiters was still learning, 3 out of 4 courses we had to ask for plates or utensils to eat the dish already served. Noticed the table next to us had similar issues. The food was excellent; personally did not find the house special pancake tasty- oily and tuna was very cold, lacked flavor. While not original in their preparation, the seafood pasta, Branzino and Octopus dishes were all really good. Once they get the kinks worked out, will be a solid spot
Good food, not great but good. Good neighborhood spot for a drink or date.
Food is really good ..the Truffle Pizza, Cecci w lentils...perfect comfort food for cold night...rice pudding desert, not too sweet..great experience w food...service still coming along slowly. Will return!
Perfect for a date ! The food is incredible! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Overall , very nice. Service was very slow, however.
We ordered a starter salad and main course, but they brought the salad at nearly same time as main course. There was a LONG wait for salad course, and then main course arrived within a minute !! ( No bread course at all)
Perhaps growing pains??
Food not so good!
This won’t be a well kept secret for long. Food was extraordinary. Octopus was tender and had a bit of heat. Halibut was divine- fresh, green, and delicate. Sommelier knee exactly what we wanted and did not disappoint. Overall a great experience including atmosphere, service, and thoughtful food.
They’re still getting their sea legs but everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back!
Lasagna to die for...almost a filo dough consistency, light and so flavorful, endive salad amazing as well!
As close to dining on the Amalfi Coast overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea as exists in the New World
Amazing experience and delicious food!
Really great food and the service was pretty impeccable. I would suggest anyone dine here though it's not what i would call inexpensive. But at least you get what you pay for here which is all you can ask for with superior cuisine. The branzino is a definite highlight.
Beautiful space and hotel, the service needs to have a bit more attention, assume the new factor is responsible, some details need to be fine tuned as well dirty martini w olives means green olives not Mediterranean black olives, the food was good not stellar perhaps on another occasion order different items on the menu as I was with a vegetarian. One standout was the funghi misti fried rice ...delightful taste and consistency! Excited to return for the pasta dishes next time! Overall...worthy of a return.
Found my new regular place.
Fantastic setting, unparalleled cuisine, recommend highly!
We had an amazing meal and really enjoyed the ambience and the service. Casey Lane was actually there also and came to our table and asked if we were happy with everything. Very impressive! The pasta was extraordinary along with the seafood. We ordered the truffle pizza as our appetizer. Wow!! We will definitely go back and recommend Viale dei Romani to
Everyone. We are a huge Tasting Kitchen fan and this place was as impressive.
Food was amazing server not knowledgeable about food or ingredients so kept having to run to back to ask, they’re new they will figure it out
Food is amazing!!!
Lighting awful plus the lights from valet cars stare into the restaurant which is annoying they need to add foiling some cool trees something
Another amazing meal at Viale. The ambiance is fantastic, lively, fun and sexy, and the service is attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The food is simply out of this world. My favorite is the ceccina with tuna, light, savory chickpea crepes with tuna tartare. The pizza and pastas are also fantastic, and all of the pasta as are made in house. An absolute must try.
My friend and I love this place. The food is amazing! Our favorite was definitely the fonduta ravioli. We really liked the atmosphere, it was relaxed with great service and the space is beautiful.
Excellent pasta. The service is still a definite work in progress. Salads were just ok. Definitely way to much oil or dressing, even when asking for light dressing. Drinks were on point though.
We were able to get a reservation at Viale soon after it opened, and agreed it was some of the best homemade pasta we'd ever had. The cuisine is a mix of Mediterranean and Italian, so not only was the pasta great, but the fish was cooked to perfection. I had the black cod pasta as my main entree (highly recommended) but we tasted across the menu and was truly impressed with everything we had. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and the cocktail and wine selection did not disappoint. Great location inside a really cool boutique hotel in West Hollywood. Looking forward to going back again and seeing what else they have cooked up since opening weekend!
