lemon butter, shallot, chili
"gigante marinati" & mostarda
"Barnegat Bay" Scallops
"Sicilian style", charred corn, crispy riso
Food was delicious, server was great, attentive and knew the menu and recommended things as our first time there, would definitely return
Viaggio never disappoints. Fine dining with fresh and home-made ingredients wherever possible. BYOB
Excellent food, terrific service. A wonderful dining experience.
“BARNEGAT BAY” SCALLOPS – “Sicilian style”, charred corn, crispy riso and the Sopressini special were
Always Great Service. Fantastic Food. Zucchini flower special appetizer was terrific
Very nice bday meal
Owner does not tell you that he is charging a 4% Credit Card Processing Fee. They just stick it on the bill. So if you don’t bring $300 cash you are left paying this erroneous charge.
Very sheisty/sneaky way of adding 4% to your check. Never seen this before at any restaurant
The portions were small. We left hungry, but the food was really, really delicious.
Excellent. Highly recommend! Every item on the menu is well thought out and the expertly executed. The daily specials are a must try!
Chef Robbie is one of the best in NJ. Farm to table Italian at its best
Everything was so delicious but the Cacio e Pepe dish was one of the best we ever had. Love that its BYOB too.
Food was terrific. Service was slow.
Exceeded expectations, food is absolutely incredible.
As always the food was very good and the menu very creative. The Fazzoletti pasta were simply amazing!
Love it love love it!!! Be back soon!!
Our dining experience at Viaggio was exceptional. We have been going to Viaggio was years and have never had a bad meal. There are always delicious specials. Our server Jonathan was amazing. I would and have recommended Viaggio to friends.
Grilled octopus and the lemon pasta special were OUTSTANDING!!
Location is a strip mall. Staff was working to make it a great experience. The food was sub par. Lacking flavor and depth. They are on the correct tract but need a bit more fine tuning for me to come back.
Was our first time at this establishment but won't be our last. Food and service were excellent. So many wonderful flavors in the food ordered: I had the barnegat bay scallops and my spouse had the cacio e pepe as our main course. Also very much enjoyed the roasted beets and calamari fritti as appetizers. This is a BYOB so we had our choice of prosecco. Had no "room" for dessert!
Our dinner did not break the bank so we'll definitely be back and not just on a special occasion. Only negative was the choice of music at dinner. Rock music is not my personal choice to listen to during dinner. We did ask if the music could be changed - the volume was simply lowered.
Had a great girls night at Viaggio. Our waiter, Sam, was so helpful and friendly. We loved the octopus, Jersey burrata and the pasta dishes. Great BYOB.
Amazing food & service! Camilla was a great server, very helpful, & attentive. The food is nothing short of perfection!
Overpriced, charges $5 for using a credit card (who does that?), food nothing spectacular relative to price. Danielle our waitress was sweet.
Never fails to have a great experience highly recommend
Unfortunately it seems this place has slipped a few notches. Perhaps the chef is more focused on his newer restaurant in Westwood but this is the second subpar meal we’ve had here the past few weeks.
Food was decent but expensive. $38 for scallops and clams - nothing else. My wife’s spaghetti with clams had a pound of olive oil. Not good. Also, they charged us $4 for a credit card processing fee. We will not be going back.
I find it a bit obnoxious when one of the first questions a server asks is "have you dined with us b4". What diff does it really make? I often want to respond by saying "I haven't been here b4 but I have eaten out in a restaurant so we should be fine" ;-)
Also, as well intended as I know it was there were just too many "how is your meal" check-ins. My preference would be for the server to be visible and conscious of our table so that if there is an issue we can grab his/her attention for a remedy.
But the food was terrific, the atmosphere is perfect and it's clear that that people working there cared that we were enjoying the dinner.
Not kid friendly. They don’t provide high chairs. You literally have to bring your own and the waitress seemed annoyed that we brought our kids to a Fathers Day dinner! Food was great just wish Robbi Felice make his restaurants a little kid friendly by just providing a high chair.
Excessive topping use of vegetable compotes to cover the small protein portions...
Great waiter whose recommendations were spot on
Fabulous fresh food with delicious taste
We’ll be back again with guests
Fantastic service and food. Octopus ppetizer delicious s was the pasta with lamb ragu
Amazing experience , amazing food! Definitly going back.
Amazing food! Great service!
Upon arrival, I was told I requested an "outside" table. I did not! The manager stated, "something must have happened on the Open Table app". From the start, the service was lacking. We repeatedly, requested ice for our water and when it finally arrived, it was in a tall glass. When I asked for a spoon to retrieve the ice, we were given a fork.
One of my guests asked if her Branzino could be prepared without onions, she was told the chef could not accommodate her request because this dish is prepared in advance. Really? She ordered it anyway and planned to pick out the onions, herself.
As it started to rain my guests and I had to physically, lift and move our own table under the umbrella. Unfortunately, the water poured down from the umbrella and soaked the back of my suit jacket as I sat there.
The truth is that the Branzino al Cartoccio and the Porcini Rubbed NY strip steak were excellent and very tasty and I would absolutely, recommend these dishes. I would offer that recommendation with a caution regarding expectations of good service.
Food was amazing
Service was ordinary at best
There was a party so it was a little loud
38.00 for chicken is a little pricy
a fantastic meal as usual.
Excellent food, excellent service! Delicious and creative.
Will not disappoint. The octopus was amazing as was the bronzino. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Will definitely keep this on our go to restaurant list.
My mom, sister and I went to Viaggio this week. We haven't been there in over a year. Well we weren't surprised that the food was outstanding. The three of us had pasta dishes and each one was delicious. Our waiter, Sam, was was wonderful; very attentive and getting us whatever we needed. The only complaint is the comfort of the chairs. They just aren't comfortable. Other than that, it was wonderful.
Excellent food. Great service
Went here for my wife’s birthday and we were blown away. Every dish introduced delicious, new and unexpected flavor combinations and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be back
