Staff was on point and food was delicious. 10/10
The portions are extremely small for the price. It was odd that they were paying attention to many of the other tables but not us. Had to ask twice for bread. Left hungry.
Viaggio continues to be one of our favorite restaurants. Each dish is consistently fresh & delicious. The homemade pastas are extraordinary. We were happy they still have outdoor dining. Our server Sebastian & the rest of the crew were efficient & attentive. We had another terrific night at Viaggio!
The Service was impeccable with constant attention to our dining experience. The food was amazing and everything was fresh. It is on the high end of the price curve but well worth it considering the experience
Given the price-point (on the pricey side), I would call Viaggio a "special occasion" restaurant, but a good one. When the restaurant is full, it can be loud. But the food is always delicious and made with great care and flair.
Good quality food at reasonable price. Like BYOB option and chef is always welcoming
We had a delicious meal and wait staff was pleasant and super informative. They knew everything about the food being served which was so refreshing
My husband and I celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary at Viaggio and it was outstanding! The food was delicious, the service was great. Highly recommend!
Great service and great food.
Great night f from o
This was a lovely surprise. The bread and the branzino were my favorites!
What a fantastic dinner! The quality of the ingredients that are used in every dish is at the highest quality. The presentation was beautiful. You need to eat with your eyes!
Fabulous food - very impressed! Loved the squash blossoms & calamari especially. Excellent, knowledgeable server - Sam -and support staff. Only issue are uncomfortable chairs and all hard surfaces so high noise level. Wish they were in Monmouth county!
Was very much looking forward to enjoying Viaggio after two local chefs had recommended in NJ Monthly magazine. We arrived and were warmly greeted, however, as we were led to our table noticed that the restaurant was quite crowded, which didn't feel good (Delta variant etc.).
Great server, lovely menu, restaurant was very warm (we all mentioned it after awhile) which affected the enjoyment of the meal, food service was rushed (and with three Italians at the table who are interested in enjoying a leisurely meal - it was a bit off putting). The check was delivered immediately after the coffee, and the server came back twice to collect it before we had even finished our dessert/coffee. That felt odd!
Great food, but this restaurant has an opportunity.
We had a wonderful meal. The food was very tasty. The flavor combinations were spot on. The service was very attentive. We will go back and bring friends
Viaggio is a favorite. Joe always makes the group feel welcome and the food continues to be spot on. Did not have chef Robbie in the kitchen today, but food was great.
Although the menu seems limited there are plenty of options for every diner. Everything was fresh and delicious. Everything was beautifully presented. The service was excellent and welcoming I highly recommend
Excellent food and excellent service.
Interesting menu and good dessert
Food was delicious, server was great, attentive and knew the menu and recommended things as our first time there, would definitely return
Viaggio never disappoints. Fine dining with fresh and home-made ingredients wherever possible. BYOB
Excellent food, terrific service. A wonderful dining experience.
“BARNEGAT BAY” SCALLOPS – “Sicilian style”, charred corn, crispy riso and the Sopressini special were
Service was great, the server was awesome, the food was meh. Perhaps I should have stuck with pasta. I had the steak, it was under seasoned and over sauced with what seemed similar to a mole and it didn’t bring much to the party. With the sauce, potatoes and steak the overall look of the plate was a very unappealing rainbow of brown and that’s a pretty good description of the flavor as well. It was a disappointment. My wife had fish which was cooked well but, once again, the sauce was overpowering. A great piece of fish might as well have been a tofu-burger because all you could taste was tomato and fennel.
All of this followed by the bill which made me forget it’s BYOB. I’m fine paying high prices for a main course, but it’s deflating when the check comes and you immediately start thinking about what else you could have bought with the money and you just feel bummed.
It’s hard finding a non chain restaurant in Wayne, but it’s not worth settling. I won’t be going back.
Always Great Service. Fantastic Food. Zucchini flower special appetizer was terrific
Very nice bday meal
Owner does not tell you that he is charging a 4% Credit Card Processing Fee. They just stick it on the bill. So if you don’t bring $300 cash you are left paying this erroneous charge.
Very sheisty/sneaky way of adding 4% to your check. Never seen this before at any restaurant
The portions were small. We left hungry, but the food was really, really delicious.
Excellent. Highly recommend! Every item on the menu is well thought out and the expertly executed. The daily specials are a must try!
Chef Robbie is one of the best in NJ. Farm to table Italian at its best
Everything was so delicious but the Cacio e Pepe dish was one of the best we ever had. Love that its BYOB too.
Food was terrific. Service was slow.
Exceeded expectations, food is absolutely incredible.
As always the food was very good and the menu very creative. The Fazzoletti pasta were simply amazing!
Love it love love it!!! Be back soon!!
Our dining experience at Viaggio was exceptional. We have been going to Viaggio was years and have never had a bad meal. There are always delicious specials. Our server Jonathan was amazing. I would and have recommended Viaggio to friends.
Grilled octopus and the lemon pasta special were OUTSTANDING!!
Location is a strip mall. Staff was working to make it a great experience. The food was sub par. Lacking flavor and depth. They are on the correct tract but need a bit more fine tuning for me to come back.
Was our first time at this establishment but won't be our last. Food and service were excellent. So many wonderful flavors in the food ordered: I had the barnegat bay scallops and my spouse had the cacio e pepe as our main course. Also very much enjoyed the roasted beets and calamari fritti as appetizers. This is a BYOB so we had our choice of prosecco. Had no "room" for dessert!
Our dinner did not break the bank so we'll definitely be back and not just on a special occasion. Only negative was the choice of music at dinner. Rock music is not my personal choice to listen to during dinner. We did ask if the music could be changed - the volume was simply lowered.
