Amazing food! Great service!
Food was amazing
Service was ordinary at best
There was a party so it was a little loud
38.00 for chicken is a little pricy
Upon arrival, I was told I requested an "outside" table. I did not! The manager stated, "something must have happened on the Open Table app". From the start, the service was lacking. We repeatedly, requested ice for our water and when it finally arrived, it was in a tall glass. When I asked for a spoon to retrieve the ice, we were given a fork.
One of my guests asked if her Branzino could be prepared without onions, she was told the chef could not accommodate her request because this dish is prepared in advance. Really? She ordered it anyway and planned to pick out the onions, herself.
As it started to rain my guests and I had to physically, lift and move our own table under the umbrella. Unfortunately, the water poured down from the umbrella and soaked the back of my suit jacket as I sat there.
The truth is that the Branzino al Cartoccio and the Porcini Rubbed NY strip steak were excellent and very tasty and I would absolutely, recommend these dishes. I would offer that recommendation with a caution regarding expectations of good service.
a fantastic meal as usual.
Excellent food, excellent service! Delicious and creative.
Will not disappoint. The octopus was amazing as was the bronzino. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. Atmosphere is very pleasant. Will definitely keep this on our go to restaurant list.
My mom, sister and I went to Viaggio this week. We haven't been there in over a year. Well we weren't surprised that the food was outstanding. The three of us had pasta dishes and each one was delicious. Our waiter, Sam, was was wonderful; very attentive and getting us whatever we needed. The only complaint is the comfort of the chairs. They just aren't comfortable. Other than that, it was wonderful.
Excellent food. Great service
Went here for my wife’s birthday and we were blown away. Every dish introduced delicious, new and unexpected flavor combinations and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be back
Food was fantastic! Great service ! Definitely coming back !
Used to love this place. Food was extremely salty. Extremely expensive. Almost like the chef had Covid and lost his sense of taste. Will never go back.
Great to be back outside dining at Viaggio. Super attentive service, and food as delicious as ever. Always an evening well spent.
The food is not as good as I remembered. It was very good, just not exceptional and the prices are very high.
The food was delicious but our pasta, the bucatini was super salty.
I understand pancetta and parmesan are salty, but hen the chef should not salt to the extent this dish was. It was still good, just needed to drink extra water the remainder of the night. Cioppino was superb
Great food as always!
Every aspect was outstanding save for the indoor patrons coming outside to smoke and the cigarette vapors wafting over to our table.
Great food and service. Did not like the music.
The food was truly amazing. The flavors were complex, everything was cooked perfectly, and the ingredients were extremely fresh. The only thing I could say that I expected and didn’t get was crispy skin on either fish, but both were still absolutely delicious. The octopus was some of the best I’ve ever had, and we order it every time we see it on the menu. The service was okay, it just didn’t match the fine dining level of the food.
Amazing food. Loved the shorter menu because you knew you were getting amazing no matter what.
We’ve been loyal, enthusiastic lovers of Viaggio for years and didn’t believe it when friends told us it had gone down hill in the last few months as Robby was spending his time at his new restaurant in Westwood but we’re extremely disappointed last night. The normally great food was poor and one of our favorite entrees, the linguini with white clam sauce was close to inedible. The normally great, friendly service was poor and instead of the enjoyable fine dining experience we were accustomed to they basically speed fed us and we were out in just a little over an hour.
It’s sad but we won’t be going back to a place we had even made to be our family Christmas Eve tradition.
True neighborhood gem with inventive and authentic Italian menu. Great service and BYOB is a great bonus
The food was an exciting selection with unusual preparations. Each selection was delicious. Presentation was lovely. Attentive server.
We had a great time sitting inside and enjoyed their unique dishes. My favorites were the calamari, the ramp butter pasta and the ny strip. Every thing was cooker perfectly and tasted delicious.
What a great place! Coming from Seattle, we were hard pressed to find something a little more elevated in this area and Viaggio did not disappoint. The calamari was impeccable, the pasta was perfectly cooked and we enjoyed the panna cotta and affogato for dessert. It seemed like most of the staff was pretty new but for the most part it went smoothly. Will definitely dine here again next time we’re in town.
I think the noise was mostly due to families since we were eating early. The noise wasn’t overwhelming and the food and service more than made up for it!
Fabulous dinner with my mom for Mother’s Day. Isabella our server was very attentive and professional. Would definitely return.
This was the best dinner I have ever had. I can't believe how good the dinner was. I can't wait to go back
The food is always fresh and homemade. Fantastic blend of flavors.
The cacio e pepe made me weep. One in the best things I’ve eaten in ages!
Wait staff was not knowledgeable. Order came out wrong. Food was excellent as usual. I’m assuming the server was new or training
Food is great especially the octopus and the pasta. Loud ambiance.
We shared 2 appetizers. The Octopus was charred perfectly and delicious. The Burrata was the best we've ever had. I had the pasta special in a rague sauce and my wife had the pasta special with ramparts. They were both outstanding! Viaggio never disappoints.
First time back since the pandemic started. Happy to see the quality of the food remains outstanding. Sorry to see that they are no longer serving focaccia. Wait staff were attentive, polite and efficient. Appetizers, entrees and dessert were all nicely presented and delicious. A bit pricey but well worth the money for the experience.
Will be returning regularly.
It’s was a dining experience that keeps you thinking and talking about it after you’ve left.
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding, as always.
Wonderful experience from start to finish.
PLEASE open up a restaurant in Union County! I am in Westfield and we need an amazing place like this!
Always a wonderful dining experience
