12-hour braised with natural jus, parmigiano white polenta, rosemary
Penne Bolognese was amazing. Great service by Andrew. Overall amazing experience.
Trent was excellent server. Food was tasty. The lamb shank was very tender. Soups were great. Drinks maybe a bit pricey. Would definitely go back.
One of the best restaurants with good food and ambience.
Everything was perfect. Food was excellent no complaints.
It is always a great pleasure to dine at Via Vite. The chef, Christian, and his team are a great way to spend an evening.
The Lamb Shank with risotto was excellent! The precautions implemented for COVID made our entire table feel safe and at ease! The picturesque tri-fold screens placed in-between tables kept us at a comfortable social distance. All of the staff were extremely friendly under their appropriately worn masks! (i.e., nose and mouth were covered at all times.) We will definitely be back for more!
Was a fantastic dining experience as usual. To aid in distancing, they used very chic dividers instead of clear plastic like many other restaurants are using. Found out that Friday is lasagna night, and it was the beat lasagna I have ever had! This place can not be beat.
Christian and his staff make us very welcome and the varied menu always excells. Our "go-to" in downtown Cincinnati.
As usual Via Vite was fantastic. The gnocchi is always on point!
I booked a table for my parents 65th Wedding Anniversary June 25th, at 7pm. We were greeted enthusiastically and seated quickly (no one there, COVID-19). The server and the hostess were great, and made a nice recognition for my parents anniversary. The food is a different story. We ordered the veal meatballs appetizer. They came lukewarm, not even that, really. They were burnt, and covered with a weird sauce, probably to mask the burned meat, and not tender at all. The orecchiette had a kale pesto that was not pleasant. Very bitter, tasted awful. Stick to an authentic basil pesto! I shared the seafood risotto with my mother, and the “seafood taste” was off putting. Was seafood fresh? My sister did say her salmon was “just right.” The cook should rethink that menu. The entire menu is way overpriced. The music was too loud, and on a lousy loop of old rock music, but not the good kind. My parents are elderly, and the ambiance was not comfortable nor soothing. Again, the server and hostess were terrific! They did send out an anniversary dessert, which was the best dish of all the food. The chocolate creme brûlée. The food was not worth the extremely high prices. It was a very disappointing dinner experience.
Our first restaurant dining since covd19 quarantine.
Excellent preparation taken here for re-opening.
My Negroni was beautiful in its preparation and none has ever tasted better. Same to be said of the octopus appetizer. Slightly different plate than I was remembering and it was excellent!
My partner loved his peach gazpacho- a creative play on the traditional.
And the bucatini was perfect.
Outstanding Food and service. Great location, easy parking.
Dined here to celebrate Fathers Day. We had a very enjoyable experience. Tables were spaced safely and comfortably apart. Service and food were excellent. We will definitely be back!
It was our first time there and we were so very impressed. Trent was our server and he did amazing, best waiter I've ever had! As well as all the managers/hosts who checked on us and pre-bussed the table. I WILL BE BACK :)
Always a fantastic meal. The bruschetta is unbelievable
Great service and the food was predictably good! We sat on the upstairs patio and it was well spaced and very comfortable. It was a very eerie feeling seeing no one on the square on a Friday evening.
Vita Vite never ever disappoints
Food quality and variety
All simply excellent
Always order the lamb shank and penne bolognese they are really wonderful.
Food was EXCELLENT, servers and manager knowledgeable and friendly!!
Excellent food and service for a very reasonable price.
Via Vite does not disappoint. The food is outstanding, the service is always great and the location on Fountain Square is unbeatable.
The food was incredible! We had the goat cheese bruschetta and a nice bottle of Rose’ to start. My husband had the seafood risotto and I had the bucatini. Both were delicious as were the desserts! Our server was friendly, helpful and just the right amount of attentive. Great choice for our anniversary dinner.
Food is always excellent and why I will go back but it is a little pricey. I would feel better if they at least served the delicious bread without a charge.
My wife an I took a much needed date night while he parents watched our toddler. We received a GC over a year ago and decided now was as good a time as any to use it. We were welcomed and decided to stop ar the bar for a drink since we arrived early. The restaurant did not look busy and only one other couple was at the bar. They have the seating at the bar spaced in pairs to keep the social distance. We moved to the main dining area where the table were also well spaced and each was devided from those closest to them with a privacy screen. The food was great, the service was outstnading, all workers wore masks and gloves.
The food was outstanding and the service was great
Every time we dine here it is outstanding. Cristian and his team do a wonderful job with the menu, the experience and making you feel welcome. Open for his 2nd night after the closing due to COVID, and it was flawless. Always can’t wait to return.
It was their second night being open after being closed 2 1/2 months for the pandemic and they did a great job. The service had been changed a lot to meet new requirements and our server worked tirelessly to keep things moving smoothly. The food was wonderful and it was a great way to celebrate our anniversary.
It was a very special evening celebrating getting out after sheltering in place! We felt very safe! The owner greeted us at the table. So special!
The food was alright but was not good enough for the price. Service was great.
Highly recommend the bolognese with homemade pasta! We will definitely return to get that dish again.
I have always loved Via Vite. I had clients in from Denver and wanted to treat them to a great Cincinnati experience with a view. The FS Fountain is gorgeous- despite the construction, so I chose Via Vite.
What a debacle. It was one of my client's birthdays and given that I love and grew up in bourbon country, they always let me steer the ship on what we're drinking. Old Fashion's are an easy and all time favorite. However, when ordering them, it seemed to be such an issue. Never before have we been served Old Fashion's the way the bartender was making them. It was bizarre. We were all caught off guard and tried to explain what we wanted but it didn't seem to register or make sense to the server or the bartender. After a while, it just became stressful and was eating in to our enjoyment of the evening, so we settled on what was brought to the table and then just switched to wine.
My other client does not eat red meat. He ordered the Bolognese with Taglia pasta, as suggested by the server with no meatball. She brought it anyway, acknowledging when she sat it down that he had said he didn't want it, but decided since the kitchen added it anyway, she would keep it on there and not charge for it....What???? At this point, we were still so exhausted by the drink conversation, we just didn't say anything and he just ate around it.
I called earlier in the day to let them know it was a birthday dinner and it was disappointing that nothing was mentioned by the server about it and that a dessert or anything was offered to celebrate. Yes, this is an assumption on my part. Though, one that is made based upon experiences at other nearby, nice restaurants.
Fabulous food and great presentation from start to finish. Love the setting with all the natural light, also tables are nicely spaced so you don't feel a bit crowded in your space
My husband & I celebrated our birthdays here with my son. This was our 3rd time at Via Vite and everything we had was absolutely delicious!! Always worth the hour drive!
Y’all are just the best! Fantastic as always!
I've always enjoyed the restaurant but had probably the best meal I've had there, or anywhere, recently. Split an 8 ounce filet and seafood risotto with my companion, and both were outstanding. Also had a cup of their pepper soup, which is always excellent. I will be back!
Some of the reasons we like Via Vita is the consistently good service, nice ambiance, and delicious food. Who could ask more from a restaurant! They delivered again on Sunday. We’ll be back soon.
This is a beautiful restaurant on the ground floor but We were brought upstairs to a tiny room that had a metal door that had to be opened and closed every time someone came in. It made the whole dining experience different in a negative way.
I had just been at Via Vite for New Year’s Eve dinner and had a great time. Our overall experience here was terrific. Started out a Happy hour at the bar while I waited for my friends to arrive for dinner reservations. Bartenders friendly and friendly folks at the bar. Seated right on time work the a great table and our server was terrific. She took very good care of our table. Food was delicious and came in reasonable time. I enjoy Via Vite more every time I come here!
Jack was an excellent server- 5 stars- I had made a reservation weeks in advance- it seems a better table w/view- less congested and noisy area for 2 could have been accommodated for celebration my friends 90th birthday- overall a 5 star experience!
Outstanding food!!! Highly recommend the four cheese gnocchi!!
