Wrong food was served. Was in a hurry so I didn’t send back. Wasn’t comped.
Delicious lunch and outstanding service as always. I love the Bucheron Goat Cheese salad and the Pene Bolognese as a lunch combo. I didn't get it but the smoked pork shoulder pizza of the day sounded fantastic.
We so appreciate a restaurant that stays open late on Sunday night. Our season tickets to Ensemble Theatre are for the 7:00 Sunday night performances and we always look forward to after theater dining so we can discuss what we've just seen.
The separtiallyrvice and food were good. We’ve did not receive any complimentary bread for the table. The prices are a tad too high for the amount of food you receive.
Terrific service, solid meal. Overall great experience.
Everything was just ok, but it’s not nearly as good as Soto
Another wonderful experience with amazing wine and the gnocchi! Plus first time for the Fig & Goat Cheese bruschetta and it was wonderful!
Food and service were both great! We had theater tickets and the server made sure we were finished in time without feeling rushed.
Normally this restaurant has excellent service and we keep coming back, however this time the service was marginal. The place was primarily occupied by a special dinner event. I think the other customers suffered as a result and in the future they should consider not taking other reservations during large events . Our server was hurried with every interaction we had, as a result we felt rushed. When we asked her to elaborate on questions about the menus she didn't give much additional information again making us feel rushed. Finally on receiving the check, she first charged the wrong amount on the credit card.
I thought the food was very good, but the server seemed a little distracted. We didn't get the bread he promised until well after we got our entre. Too bad, because it was good, but we were already too full to eat it. We took it home and it was still good the next morning. Overall though, it was a very nice experience.
Although I made my reservations nearly two months in advance we were seated upstairs. The atmosphere upstairs is not like downstairs. It was very noisy. There was a group of children running around and continued to open the doors from the outside letting in cold air. The staff did nothing to address this problem. Via Vite is not a restaurant that I would expect this type of behavior. When I am spending $100.00 plus on a nice meal I don’t want children running around and interrupting my conversation. Although the food was exceptional as always I was disappointed that I had to be seated upstairs as I planned this dinner well in advance. And I wish someone would have talked to the parents of the children. This should not happen at a high scale restaurant.
Delicious and fun
Our server and the food were amazing...i felt like i was back in Italy eating wonderful food
Although it was a bit noisy for my taste, the food and service were very good.
Great location and ambience but the food and service are pretty average for the price.
My boyfriend and I came to Via Vite for our three year anniversary. Our waiter got a little held up with his other tables and gave us a piece of the delicious pecan pie. When we left, my boyfriend became my fiancé. Via Vite will always be part of our history and our special night!
The bruschette was great! But the entrees were okay. Next time we go we will probably get apps/salads
We are regulars at Via Vite, eventhough we live 60mi from Cinci. Chef Cristian, the menu, the amazing wine list is all worth the drive.
Via Vite was great as usual. The waiter was very attentive and the food was awesome. Another great dining experience.
To start the night, Christian, the head chef visited our table, guided us thru menu. Our waiter was excellent. The food was amazing. We highly recommend Via Vite.
Great service. Variety of available menu items. WONDERFUL atmosphere. Highly recommend.
This place was wonderful besides the waitress taking my food before I was done. This was done without my knowledge or consent. I don't believe it was purposeful. But made the night a little irritating. I still had half a plate left of food and it was just thrown away. Food would have been worth the price if I would have gotten to finish my plate. Over all though. Wonderful environment and amazing food.
The food was great and the service was outstanding. However, they need to learn how to pronounce tagliatelle properly.
Very good food and service. Not too expensive considering the overall quality.
We ordered the peperonata bruschetta to start. It was delicious but overpriced at $12 for a single slice of Blue Oven’s Seedy McSeedy loaf. Our entrees were the cioppino (lots of seafood including baby octopus, I think) and that night’s special pasta, imported gnocchi with milk braised pork shoulder and pesto (pillowy pasta, tender strands of pork, and pesto bright with flavors of lemon and garlic). Service was attentive but not cloying. Our server asked us if we had plans after dinner, presumably to determine the pace of our food service. We were not in a hurry and enjoyed our three courses. We ordered three little scoops of gelato and sorbetto for dessert, and our server, knowing we were celebrating a birthday, added a vanilla bean creme brûlée and a birthday candle. It was fantastic! Madisono’s gelati are always wonderful, but next time we’ll order the creme brûlée.
We arrived early and Brandy sat us right away at an adorable table by the window. The service was excellent. The food came out at a great pace and the drinks were great. Fun place. Look forward to returning, especially when the weather gets better.
My family and I went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. The food came out quickly. Overall great experience.
Wonderful service, food was excellent. Smaller portions which we actually really liked.
Perfect spot for a special occasion. Wide variety of options, great wine list, and great desserts. Their chocolate Crème brûlée was delicious! Free regular Crème brûlée with birthdays. Always love it here.
We were stuck at a 2 top table in the middle of the restaurant, very crowded. I ordered the Leek soup, it came without a spoon. I stopped someone to get a spoon, wait 10 minutes, after that our waitress came out with a tray covered by a napkin with 5 spoons. There were 4 other customers sitting around me with soup and no spoons. The soup was cold, they didn't offer to bring another soup out. The main entree portion was very small for the price. Plus when I made the reservation there was nothing to say that it was a special menu at $50 per plate. Not a value. You would think that in 11 years that they would know how to run a restaurant. Thank you,
Valentine's day "all inclusive menu" was extremely mediocre. You had 3 options for an entree and it was really just an overall disappointment. Spent 140 bucks, and will not be going back anytime soon.
Limited menu on valentines was not great, food had obviously been pre cooked, overdone
Valentine’s Day. They had a Valentine’s Day special menu and was extremely disappointed in the food.
I was ill BEFORE getting to the restaurant; so I can’t really judge the experience too well. However, once the restaurant knew I was under the weather, they all (manager to waitperson) did a superb job of helping us enjoy the visit as best we could. When flowers I had ordered didn’t show up during dinner as planned with a local florist, the restaurant even created a very lovely table bouquet of roses!! Kudos and many thanks. We will return. PS: my illness was not infectious.
We were well taken care of. They had a large, loud party upstairs where we were, but because we were clearly celebrating Valentines Day a day early, they placed us in a private room, one other couple was in there as well. It was very quiet, even though the remainder of the restaurant we walked through to get there seemed very energetic. My wife loved the wine that was recommended, but the craft beer selection could have been a little deeper.
I gave the food only 4 stars because, while I know many people prefer pasta al dente, what we got was a little more than that....almost chewy. Not enough to complain, as we didn't want to ruin the good vibe, and certainly not bad enough to not eat (LOL)....the flavors were amazing, and being able to order half of two different entrees was excellent, as neither one of us could decide what we wanted.
We will definitely be back for special occasions, and we look forward to it.
Via Vite is reasonably priced for the quality of food served. If you are looking for a feast, this restaurant is not for you. The portions are small. But the quality is what you pay for. Overall, I would return to this restaurant.
Sat at the chef's table facing the kitchen and watched a well choreographed ballet of cooking! Everyone there seemed happy to be there...happy cooks equals happy food! Chef Christian oversaw everything going out of his kitchen without being overbearing to his staff. The food is always of the highest quality and so so good! The service is always top notch too. Via Vite never disappoints.
Food was excellent, but very small portion sizes. Drinks were great, though over priced. Overall, a great night, but over priced and left hungry.
Mussels appetizer and grilled octapus were flavorful and unique. Super Tuscan by the glass good value.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Service was fantastic. Our server was energetic and attentive to us even with a packed house.
